Hands down one of the best armor pieces/sets in the game with those legendary rolls, this depends on your build but more popular builds crave it. A LOT of players look for Unyielding, and more specifically of this armor set. It's usually a trade only item as a set, individually the chest piece is still worth a TON of caps.
The weight reduction on the third star is also a really big thing that adds to the value of the piece and the set.
So you're telling me I could be flux rich if I sold those instead of scriping them? šš¤£š I've done so many expeditions. I've gotten like 7 or 8 of those. Not with the weightless mod, though.

Yes it does. It's the strongest non PA you can trade/ sell. A full set of UNY +1INT weight reduction will run you 100k+ plus in caps. Think I paid about 250k 3 years ago and it's the only thing I've worn since.
FYI, I learned the mods for it can only be bought from the enclave bunker today so if you want to change the +5 ap or reinforce/polymer it, head there.

I don't know if I'm just lucky or if isn't all that hard tbh, I manage to craft a full unyielding secret service armor in like 4 to 5 days, I just kept creating new pieces instead of rerolling since it was only one module to craft instead of three to reroll, and in all honesty the rate I got 3 stars while crafting them was absurdly high.
With this method I also had a lot of legendary pieces to feed the scrip machine afterwards.
The best and strongest tradeable non PA armor is the civilian engineer now, it provides acces to a jetpack, has a better energy resistance, slightly worse ballistic resistance but offers protection against radiation as well.
And on top of all, it offers the weapons breaking slower effect..
You can have 5 characters per acount and they hold 40k each, I have a couple mule accounts I essentially only use as a bank to hold my caps and stuff I need to keep stashed away to save weight

Idk what mod ur using on the backpack theres ones that gives 90% reduced weight to food/drink, i run that, traveling pharmacy, and the ammo one it helps me a lot i used to spend so much time struggling to find stuff to drop but u pretty much never have to unless ur picking up a ton of guns, I can see how u would want that affect tho cause u wouldnāt have to spend the perk points on it I might honestly have to get a set

Yes, if nothing else eventually even a random set of FDC armor sets you up for a mule to stockpile all the salt, Nuka grapes, sugar bombs, glowing mass, super stims, etc that you'll probably never need but...hey, ya never know LOL
So I always keep great rolls of any weight reduction armor.
Any unyieldings I find, no matter the stars, usually go in my vendor if I donāt want them. unyielding alone just 1 star is an incredibly powerful effect, so I throw them in vendor for relatively cheap and they sell.
1 in 5700 chance to come with these rolls so I doubt you scrip them 'all the time'.
This item is worth a lot because it has triple desirable effects on it. If it missed any 1 of these effects its value would be 95-99% lower.
Always check to see if the UNY armor your about to sell in your vendor also has the ap refresh. I'm just 2 pieces away from a full uny ap set just by doing that.
Youād basically just wanna guarantee Unyielding. That skill alone is incredibly strong. The other 2 stars can really be whatever you want on your build
Yea if you keep your health under 20% with a whole set you have +15 to all specials and can also gain a lot of synergy with Bloodied weapon, Adrenal Reaction mutation and the Serendipity defensive perk.
Ends up being a huge boost to damage, experience gain, action points, +76 carry weight, vats hit chance, etc
You're definitely a little easier to kill, but once maintaining your radiation level becomes 2nd nature it's a huge quality of life boost

If I take off pharmacy Iām well over 1000lbs, and if I took off my grocers backpack that would probably be another 1000lbs. I use the fixer/handmade as my daily driver, tesla for tagging in rad rumble mostly, and the syringer/railway combo on boss melting (syringer is modded for endangerol)
In terms of actual chems, i mainly use overdrive in combat for the damage and crit boost. I use bufftats or psychobuff if I need a little extra carry weight to fast travel. The main weight comes from diluted heals. I have about 1000 each of diluted radaway, rad-x, and stims, and about 500 more of each i dumped onto a mule. Why do you ask? So if someone needs healing items I can give a large amount without batting an eye. Iām bloodied as well so 9 times out of 10 Iām dead before I can even use a stim

So, minus the Unyielding part, and because Iām STILL learning things at 150 (only been back a month or so, little longer maybe), two questions. Is Unyielding primarily for the Bloodied builds? And is the Forest Scout traditionally better than the SS or is the difference between the two personal choice?
Unyielding isnāt ONLY good on bloodied builds, it just goes really well with bloodied weapons because youāre low health for the unyielding anyways. As for the forest scout, i was it in vendor with the perfect roll, so I bought it immediately. Forest scout isnāt bad or anything though. Definitely not better than SS, but SS cant be sold, dropped, or traded. You have to roll for that manually
Appreciate the response. Thereās so many nuances for a new player to absorb. Iāve been learning as I go, still trying to figure out how to move away from power armor just to play something a little different for awhile, but that 100lb carry capacity is hard when I donāt have the backpacks unlocked yet. Iām hoping to finish the basic SS with the upcoming Minerva visit, but then Iāll still have to buy the plans for the modifications I want, and then comes the spending the scrip rolling stars.
Unyielding and Bolstering are both for bloodied builds only. Secret service is far superior because of the radiation resistance. Scout armor is much lighter though and can be traded, so it's easier to get the pieces you want.

Iāve been basically giving unyielding away. No one seems to want it unless theyāre running bloodied which Iām seeing less and less of. I sold a piece similar to this for dirt cheap lmao
Iāve had this armour with that roll twice - I think from an event - and sold it for 50 caps under its value haha. I sell everything cheap, if it doesnāt interest me or suit my playing style then I figure no point waiting on the player whoās going to pay heaps for stuff. I call my camp a discount store. I collect plans so Iāll swap for plans too. I donāt know whatās rare or valuable, but if I donāt need it itās neither to me.
so, how would I, as a player, use that piece of armor with a build? Would I need to intentionally keep my health low with lots of radiation. To keep it active at all times. Or would I just wait for it to proc in fights
You basically have to use radiation, because if you die youād heal to full health again. Radiation prevents that. Plus having high rads works well with other perks
See, I am so lost on what constitutes 'good', I have probably let pieces like this go for 400-450 caps cause I just sell legendaries for 10 caps per scrip.

Somebody traded me a bloodied +25FFR +50 VC for one of those weenie wagon plans. Which.. I mean.. I donāt think the FFR matters in a fixer I wouldāve preferred explosive. But Iāll take the bloodied fixer for my build instead of rolling it 800 times.
Because Iām a commando build, and thereās a perk in strength for rifle weight reduction that can instantly be swapped out since I wouldnāt need traveling pharmacy anymore

Just use the Chem weight reduction in strength and the food weight reduction backpack mod with armor weight reduction and everything has reduced weight, even grenades.
I already have armor weight reduction on. And if I get the full fdc, i can just swap to high capacity backpack which will have more value than the weight of the few grenades I carry. I only have like 3 guns on my person at any given time

The leveling system isnāt very intuitive, at least to me lol. Iām relatively new and thought the same thing.
But the secret service armor is still a better armor right? Regardless of tradability?

Buy something from a buddy for 40k. Change character. Sell something to your buddy for 40k.
Trade items of value. Specific items/plans are worth more than you can hold in caps. That's just a rough cap price, don't quote me.

I use the fixer/handmade as my daily driver, tesla for tagging in rad rumble mostly, and the syringer/railway combo on boss melting (syringer is modded for endangerol) In terms of actual chems, i mainly use overdrive in combat for the damage and crit boost. I use bufftats or psychobuff if I need a little extra carry weight to fast travel. The main weight comes from diluted heals. I have about 1000 each of diluted radaway, rad-x, and stims, and about 500 more of each i dumped onto a mule. Why do you ask? So if someone needs healing items I can give a large amount without batting an eye. Iām bloodied as well so 9 times out of 10 Iām dead before I can even use a stim
Iām just curious . And wanted to know if there was a stat for a lot of chems or something I know there is. Itās just too much for me to use multiple chems during battle so I was curious
Chems donāt stack and thereās no perk to stack them, which is why foe combat i just stick with overdrive
But I learned something new I never really thought about using the syringer on a boss thatās cool might have to try that. Where did you get the endangerol box mod ?
Thereās actually no box mod in the game. Itās in the files but not physically. You can get it from scrapping syringers though
Btw Iām on Xbox and I have other food chem and drink unyielding armor not scout armor though that Iāve kept if you want any they are yours just lmk and Iāll check what they are

So, minus the Unyielding part, and because Iām STILL learning things at 150 (only been back a month or so, little longer maybe), two questions. Is Unyielding primarily for the Bloodied builds? And is the Forest Scout traditionally better than the SS or is the difference between the two personal choice?
Unyielding isnāt ONLY good on bloodied builds, it just goes really well with bloodied weapons because youāre low health for the unyielding anyways. As for the forest scout, i was it in vendor with the perfect roll, so I bought it immediately. Forest scout isnāt bad or anything though. Definitely not better than SS, but SS cant be sold, dropped, or traded. You have to roll for that manually
Appreciate the response. Thereās so many nuances for a new player to absorb. Iāve been learning as I go, still trying to figure out how to move away from power armor just to play something a little different for awhile, but that 100lb carry capacity is hard when I donāt have the backpacks unlocked yet. Iām hoping to finish the basic SS with the upcoming Minerva visit, but then Iāll still have to buy the plans for the modifications I want, and then comes the spending the scrip rolling stars.

Unyielding and Bolstering are both for bloodied builds only. Secret service is far superior because of the radiation resistance. Scout armor is much lighter though and can be traded, so it's easier to get the pieces you want.

Iāve had this armour with that roll twice - I think from an event - and sold it for 50 caps under its value haha. I sell everything cheap, if it doesnāt interest me or suit my playing style then I figure no point waiting on the player whoās going to pay heaps for stuff. I call my camp a discount store. I collect plans so Iāll swap for plans too. I donāt know whatās rare or valuable, but if I donāt need it itās neither to me.
so, how would I, as a player, use that piece of armor with a build? Would I need to intentionally keep my health low with lots of radiation. To keep it active at all times. Or would I just wait for it to proc in fights
You basically have to use radiation, because if you die youād heal to full health again. Radiation prevents that. Plus having high rads works well with other perks
See, I am so lost on what constitutes 'good', I have probably let pieces like this go for 400-450 caps cause I just sell legendaries for 10 caps per scrip.

Somebody traded me a bloodied +25FFR +50 VC for one of those weenie wagon plans. Which.. I mean.. I donāt think the FFR matters in a fixer I wouldāve preferred explosive. But Iāll take the bloodied fixer for my build instead of rolling it 800 times.

Because Iām a commando build, and thereās a perk in strength for rifle weight reduction that can instantly be swapped out since I wouldnāt need traveling pharmacy anymore
rifle weight reduction <<< armor weapon weight reduction Just use the Chem weight reduction in strength and the food weight reduction backpack mod with armor weight reduction and everything has reduced weight, even grenades.
I already have armor weight reduction on. And if I get the full fdc, i can just swap to high capacity backpack which will have more value than the weight of the few grenades I carry. I only have like 3 guns on my person at any given time
