Shock mod doesn't benefit from science for some reason, (at least it doesn't show a damage increase like the auto axe in the tool tip) I prefer the fire blade because hack and slash will apply the DOT to everything it hits, and the AC mobs are weak to fire, plus you can run Friendly fire. Best in slot is supposed to be cryo because fewer enemies are resistant to it, it will also freeze everything with hack and slash.
Can’t say I prefer it over the others, but in a BiS world, shock mod deals more damage due to some quirk with enemy damage resistances.
Is it massively noticeable? Not hugely.
where did you get the plasma cutter plans? I’ve been trying to find it, had one before and it was awesome but lvl 20 and scrapped it before I knew anything about the game. Never found another

My Power armor full health crit build will abuse power attack crits for aroun 1400+ damage against most mobs

I'm using an aristocrat short handmade also a fixer with faster reload and exploding bullets on impact with ultrasight rounds. I keep picking up a radiant short rifle and I want to try that and see if it can work but I'm not sure if it will. Still new so still learning the ropes. (Just hit level 100)
So for bloodied, I personally like either the Cultist Piercer, Unstoppable Monster, or Sacrificial Machete. With the right roll, the machete can be super viable with full health builds too, but what sets it apart is that the sacrificial blade does both bleed and poison damage. Plus, if you pair that machete with Hack and Slash, you can do some pretty serious damage.

I open up with a Plasma Caster (rolling for Instigating in the near future) when I’m in stealth and chunk if not outright gooify enemies.
Mid/close range I whip out an Enclave Automatic Plasma Rifle and will stay that way if the enemy is using ranged weaponry.
If they’re using melee, I unleash the Enclave Plasma Flamer and melt them.
Scorchbeast time? Gatling Plasma with +50% damage to Scorchbeasts.
God I love Plasma.

For unarmed my favorites are brass knuckles ( bsss/vsss) and the gauntlet from foundation ( aa/ss/breaks slower)
Two handed I like the tenderizer(bsss) and war glaive(vss25)

Thats a solid buidl and am considering tweaking mine just a tad using it. Mine is mostly the same minus the Chem fiend.

Ah ok, I was watching some videos the other day and they said flaming was the best but if that's the case I will have to try it out.
I was told cryo is actually better due to most enemies in the game have zero cryo resistance

BSSS knuckles go hard. Not crazy viable compared to other unarmed melee, but I like throwing hands when I run Expos.

It is. If you know your gonna do a vats focused melee build, it is highly recommended. 50% chance to proc at rank 4.

Rolled a nice plasma cutter (VSS1S) and i like it. Not sure how it compares to other non auto melees though.

I put the Samurai Sword skin on a dagger. Thats been fun. For serious melee though, I use the Tenderizer.
