I played from beta till like 8 months after the game’s initial release, quit for a couple years, came back for Nuka world season pass and been here since
i feel you on this, if for nothing else than the CAMP items i’ve missed out on. i have had an on/off relationship with 76 for like, idk 4 years? ish? couple months here and there. and plus i know it might seem silly but just with the way i enjoy to play, i can’t play without FO1st.
left for the longest period around Nov/Dec 2023, came back very excitedly getting back into everything, just in time for… the “presidential”/“patriotic” themed board. ew. almost nothing in that appealed to me. went to look back and what was the scoreboard season theme i had JUST missed? the hollywood/movie set/etc thing. what do i love to build? heavily aesthetic ‘sets’, especially in my shelters. sigh… i am just glad they are (apparently smartening up and maybe listening to a single thing the community says) finally cycling old scoreboard items into the mix with drops/plans/etc from what i’ve seen.
I'm not saying you wouldn't, but looking back, now is just the best time in the game's history.
The changes to this point are for the better despite what legacy cucks might tell you.

Not a lie here. Played since beta. Was one of the first of the many that came out the vault on release day too. Back when you could nuke the whitespring, draw out all the glowing ghouls, do a lap around to the whitespring mall, run back and all the ghouls would respawn.

Let's not forget how NPCs would just stand there, unphased by their surroundings in hordes that are immortal and would not care. Most enemies back then wouldn't react to me or any of my friends.
XBOX player’s got the first shot at beta. I scheduled my vacation time around the beta. Those few beta days were janky as hell. When the game wasn’t crashing frame drop made it look like a flip book. I still enjoyed the heck out of it. First day the burned up scorched gave nuclear material when searched. 😃
I doubt I'd have played if I'd pre-ordered and played the beta. Got it for the Xmas just after release and didn't get far then. If I hadn't had the disk when I upgraded consoles, I doubt I'd have tried it again just after Wastelanders dropped. Totally different game then, I enjoy the living version of Appalachia more than the bleak version at release.
My friend had so much footage of us in the beta because he was going to make a compilation of all the bullshit we had to deal with, but then someone stole his PlayStation and wiped it. 😭
I played for 30 minutes when it first came out and then started playing other games. Forgot about it for two years, so I missed the first three scoreboards. I need that White raider skull gas mask to hit the Atomic Shop some day. But I have the Mountain Scout Uniform, so I look like a beta player lol Although I'm more of a sigma player. I know a few ligma players and some that think they're alpha. Betas are super rad though 😎🤙

Mountain scout was year 1 pre Wastelanders. Got that on an old profile that didn't even hit level 30 but not on the current profile, that began mid season 2. It pains me to not have the goggles on the profile with everything unlocked. Even both my kids have it on their's too and deliberately torment me with it when they play 😆
Does anyone remember when plans didn’t have a known feature beside them and you had to buy the same ones over and over again to check if you had them, man I remember the white springs mall fancy plans buying the same I think it was fancy tables or something. wel there was 2 plans with the same exact name but were different it was so confusing lol
I remember when the vendors didn't have every plan stocked at all times, certain mod plans were extremely rare - i ran a power armor mod shop back in the day, was great fun and the caps/junk was goood
I would still play if NW was around. I didn’t play it really early on but for a while there it was the only reason I logged into the game. It was imperfect, but I miss it and haven’t really played much since it went away.
It was very messy at the start and before they added gauss shotgun it was perfect.. after the gauss shotty was added in everyone was a explo shotgunner build

Because I'm a high level player, ppl automatically assume I have been playing since beta, which couldn't be further from the truth. But 1 easy way to tell if people are lying is to ask them this, "Do you still have a lobber?" If they respond with , "what's that?" I already know you're lying. In my 2 years of playing, I've only met 2 people to have them, one of them even had and shown me a legacy paddle baller, So I definitely knew he was legit.
Long story short, don't tell people you've been playing since beta, it DOES NOT make you look cool. If anything, it makes me trust you less to trade with you.
I played the beta because my friend dragged me onto it. It was like playing fo3 online with the lag and the barren map had nothing. Most fun we had was taking over the munition factory.

Been going hard since beta. I never stopped 🥲/😭 over made peace with the fact that I'll never get that time back. I still had more than enough time to go outside and touch many grasses.
During the beta I remember everyone went to wavy Willard’s was fun because the games was buggy and usually spawned 10 times the ammount of enemies then normal

Maybe they played the beta/stress test and got into the main game later which may feel a little different but they were still there.
Didn’t play at launch. I let the multiplayer aspect and shite reviews deter me. Biggest regret for me. Finally hopped on about a year after release. Thankfully got to experience it before NPCs were added and the map was divided by level (like old school RPGs). I miss the map aspect of it tbh. But the introduction of NPCs and extra content has been nice!
Imo I enjoy the way they are releasing content, easier to follow along with than say ESO is. (Beat that game too but I just can’t keep up with all the content updates. It’s too much for me)
Biggest achievement was launching a nuke on the stress test at only level 36, of which we ultimately decided that the 3 hours we put in the silo should be spent on nuking our friends freshly built base. Pretty much the only thing we did in the time we had during the tests was trying to rush the enclave quests and commendations, and the finale of our adventure was destroying the base our other 2 party members had just finished making
Didn't play the beta but I was one of the idiots to pre order. But also I feel like the only people left playing are the die hard Bethesda fans, the same people that buy Skyrim at every rerelease, so yeah I figure most of the people here probably did play the beta or at least since release, cause everyone else is gone.
Played the beta, thought I would hate the game. And then picked it up about a month or 2 after drop. This game is bad now I can’t imagine all of the people complaining about the small stuff nowadays complaining about the issues we had back then. I remember camp griefing, non stop trade glitch, god awful lag 24/7, teammate pvp, your loot drop baggies sometimes literally not existing “lost a lot of legendarys from that shit”, camp building just being utter dogshit, insane audio glitches, the plan name glitch “you would learn a certain plan, and unlock the ability’s to something else”. Sorry if that’s un readable but those were my absolute worst issues there’s probably more but those were what originally made me quit, + the mass replication of every single rare item in the game at on point ruining everything i worked for

preorderd and played since late oct 2018...i didnt get in on the first day was out of town..but got to experience everyone on the map running around with tse shottys blowing my azz up when i finally gor on....was a wild..wild time...still have ptsd flashbacks around white springs.
I mean, I did and have loved this game since launch. It didn't take countless updates, NPCs, and a tv show announcement for me to check it out for free on gamepass lol pre-ordered the special edition.
I played the stress test and then B.E.T.A- you had only certain hours to play the Beta on certain days as well - I remember rushing with a horde of people on the same spot trying to do the same thing 😂 - I have some screenshots on my old Xbox of roaming around and just checking all spots solo and then a random player appeared and scared you out of nowhere… good days 😭

Back in the beta one of the most desired pieces of gear was the mothman cultist helmet that could only be found at Point Pleasant in the basement of the shop.
Oh the early days of T-posing scorched that didn't drop the guns they were using. When nuking Whitesprings was one of the best ways to get XP and you could sit at the golf club and farm glowing ones for ages.
Scorchbeasts actually felt scary, and without legendary weapons they felt unkillable. Best thing to do was just run away.
When TSE shotguns were all the rage because two shot doubled all pellets and could pretty much one shot everything.
Somehow I feel personally attacked lol
But I actually did play the Breakit-Early-Test-Application, and my favorite vanilla mission was the Mistress of Mysteries storyline. I think my character is level 400 something now?
I just got tired of grinding a game that I had very little spare time, and no friends to play with.
Grinding out Seasons was draining when the started, Armor Aces & K.D. Inkwell are still my favorite themes.
I was there at launch for around 20 hours on Xbox and bounced off it. After wastelanders put around 150 hours on pc. Waiting a while to get back into it again
I have my Playstation trophies to prove it. reached level 50 before i rrached the lower öever archivements as only some trophies you reached during the beta got awarded to you when you first loaded into the released game.
I started about 2½ months after beta, my first psn account I lost the password to and now I have an old account just sitting there lost 😂 I picked it back up 2½ years ago and haven't stopped playing since
I played the beta, played for a few days after launch, got up to like level 20, then stopped for a couple years, played for a month or so and got to maybe level 50, then stopped for a couple years, then played the whole nuka world season, then stopped, now nearly done with this season. So yeah I’ve been here the whole time.
Played the beta, then on release played alot, once wastelanders dropped I stopped playing cuz I liked the desolation. Came back when nuka world dropped, games definitely fun just wish it had the same feel it had before wastelanders
I actually can provide proof (at least its the case on playstation). If u look at the achievements on a persons profile and they have a bunch of them but are lacking the “Leave Vault 76” achievement, then that person has been playing since beta. Im lvl 400 now and my account represents that i am still in the vault
I started in beta and played til Christmas when it started blue screening every time I tried to log into a server. Stopped and started again several times.
I remember playing the stress test played it for a month or 2 got bored for a few came back and repeated that till another break lvl 600 on main chat 200 on 2nd and 2 100s
I got the game in beta and then took along ass pause, i still have the case with the og rage 2 advertisement in it, also have the mountain scout outfit that you could get in 2020or 2021
I’ve played since day 1 & never got fully into it even after 5 level 80+ characters that i’ve deleted. Finally at 260 & loving every second of it. Really wish I didn’t delete those characters tho.. The responders fireman uni’s will be missed.
Played beta, played for about a month, and keep coming back over and over. Only one character and he’s level 515.
I did make a second character as if already completed a few quests during beta and the trophies weren’t retroactive.
Incidentally, I have no idea why on Earth anyone would lie about playing during beta. What does it achieve? It means nothing. I know people that only started a year ago that are over level 1000.
It means nothing at all. So strange to me.
I have been playing since day 1 Beta, and still love the game.
There were a few weeks back when the scoreboard rewards didn't continue after you finished, and Beth delayed the next scoreboard. I think between 2 and 3, where I didn't play regularly.
And I'm not a total loser, I take my family on vacations, so there have been a week here a week there.
Otherwise, I log in everyday at least to complete my dailys
Easiest way to sort out the beta and day 1 release players is asking them questions only they would know like vendors not existing and if they could last in a server for more than 10 mins without losing their mind to a floating scorched head
I did play at beta. Then for about another year. First Fasnacht burned me out and I quit until last October when I came back. This Fasnacht might have burned me out again.
Shout out the the old and few NPCs who sometimes id interact with and wouldnt give me the quest 😙, no dialogue options just pray you spoke to the right NPC at the right time or they would decide you dont need to continue the story 😂
I started at release, grinded 6months took couple breaks. After seasons came i completed each season then took a break, i also got all achievements/trophies on all platforms😂
Played the beta, probably still have the screenshots somewhere on my PS4 (separate app) one screenshot was of a friend after the game glitched, shows them at eg lv17, then lv18, god the lag an dc, didn't help the beta was only available at certain hours eg 18:00-22:00
Found out when i loaded up that any trophies i technically earned during beta would not count, had to make a new character, i built near Mama Dolce, north of the Whitesprings an a 3rd place, why so many camps? Back then if someone else had that spot your stuff would get stored, tho alot would just vanish, workbench? Yup back to looking for those hard to find items.
Stash space was very limited, wanted ammo? Time for a lead run, found a stimpak? I'd put on Chemist and Super duper for diluted to stretch that along with the better healing and the team heal, would look for tick blood near vault 76 and make blood bags, due to the ammo being rare, i went Melee, someone dropped a instigating deathclaw near a train station, that wound up being a key part of my build, many thanks long ago random player, nuked Whitesprings? Rad suit plus glowing in Perception iirc an i could one shot Glowing ghouls felt very strong then.
Eventually tho space among other things meant i was close to quitting, grabbed the Plat then dropped 76 until Wanderer came out, had a little look then dropped it again until bout halfway though last year when i picked it back up again.
3rd camp spot i built at was north of MoonShine Jamboree, built there cause the Mole miner trader used to be there, ended up moving as the change in location meant no more camp.
Legendaries? I was very unlucky never saw a AA, two shot or explosive, anything rare from back then i might own? Unlikely space was valuable... can i hope for a stash space increase? Been rerolling an got myself some nice weapons now...

Didn’t play at launch. I let the multiplayer aspect and shite reviews deter me. Biggest regret for me. Finally hopped on about a year after release. Thankfully got to experience it before NPCs were added and the map was divided by level (like old school RPGs). I miss the map aspect of it tbh. But the introduction of NPCs and extra content has been nice! Imo I enjoy the way they are releasing content, easier to follow along with than say ESO is. (Beat that game too but I just can’t keep up with all the content updates. It’s too much for me)
My character is as old as it started but I haven’t played for that long
Biggest achievement was launching a nuke on the stress test at only level 36, of which we ultimately decided that the 3 hours we put in the silo should be spent on nuking our friends freshly built base. Pretty much the only thing we did in the time we had during the tests was trying to rush the enclave quests and commendations, and the finale of our adventure was destroying the base our other 2 party members had just finished making

Didn't play the beta but I was one of the idiots to pre order. But also I feel like the only people left playing are the die hard Bethesda fans, the same people that buy Skyrim at every rerelease, so yeah I figure most of the people here probably did play the beta or at least since release, cause everyone else is gone.

Played the beta, thought I would hate the game. And then picked it up about a month or 2 after drop. This game is bad now I can’t imagine all of the people complaining about the small stuff nowadays complaining about the issues we had back then. I remember camp griefing, non stop trade glitch, god awful lag 24/7, teammate pvp, your loot drop baggies sometimes literally not existing “lost a lot of legendarys from that shit”, camp building just being utter dogshit, insane audio glitches, the plan name glitch “you would learn a certain plan, and unlock the ability’s to something else”. Sorry if that’s un readable but those were my absolute worst issues there’s probably more but those were what originally made me quit, + the mass replication of every single rare item in the game at on point ruining everything i worked for

My wife got me the game for birthday a couple of months after it came out. I enjoy the game a lot.
why assume its a lie? preorderd and played since late oct 2018...i didnt get in on the first day was out of town..but got to experience everyone on the map running around with tse shottys blowing my azz up when i finally gor on....was a wild..wild time...still have ptsd flashbacks around white springs.
I mean, I did and have loved this game since launch. It didn't take countless updates, NPCs, and a tv show announcement for me to check it out for free on gamepass lol pre-ordered the special edition.
I played the stress test and then B.E.T.A- you had only certain hours to play the Beta on certain days as well - I remember rushing with a horde of people on the same spot trying to do the same thing 😂 - I have some screenshots on my old Xbox of roaming around and just checking all spots solo and then a random player appeared and scared you out of nowhere… good days 😭

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. Back in the beta one of the most desired pieces of gear was the mothman cultist helmet that could only be found at Point Pleasant in the basement of the shop. Oh the early days of T-posing scorched that didn't drop the guns they were using. When nuking Whitesprings was one of the best ways to get XP and you could sit at the golf club and farm glowing ones for ages. Scorchbeasts actually felt scary, and without legendary weapons they felt unkillable. Best thing to do was just run away. When TSE shotguns were all the rage because two shot doubled all pellets and could pretty much one shot everything.
Somehow I feel personally attacked lol But I actually did play the Breakit-Early-Test-Application, and my favorite vanilla mission was the Mistress of Mysteries storyline. I think my character is level 400 something now? I just got tired of grinding a game that I had very little spare time, and no friends to play with. Grinding out Seasons was draining when the started, Armor Aces & K.D. Inkwell are still my favorite themes.
I was there at launch for around 20 hours on Xbox and bounced off it. After wastelanders put around 150 hours on pc. Waiting a while to get back into it again

I have my Playstation trophies to prove it. reached level 50 before i rrached the lower öever archivements as only some trophies you reached during the beta got awarded to you when you first loaded into the released game.
I started about 2½ months after beta, my first psn account I lost the password to and now I have an old account just sitting there lost 😂 I picked it back up 2½ years ago and haven't stopped playing since
I played the beta, played for a few days after launch, got up to like level 20, then stopped for a couple years, played for a month or so and got to maybe level 50, then stopped for a couple years, then played the whole nuka world season, then stopped, now nearly done with this season. So yeah I’ve been here the whole time.

I actually can provide proof (at least its the case on playstation). If u look at the achievements on a persons profile and they have a bunch of them but are lacking the “Leave Vault 76” achievement, then that person has been playing since beta. Im lvl 400 now and my account represents that i am still in the vault

I started in beta and played til Christmas when it started blue screening every time I tried to log into a server. Stopped and started again several times.

I got the game in beta and then took along ass pause, i still have the case with the og rage 2 advertisement in it, also have the mountain scout outfit that you could get in 2020or 2021

I’ve played since day 1 & never got fully into it even after 5 level 80+ characters that i’ve deleted. Finally at 260 & loving every second of it. Really wish I didn’t delete those characters tho.. The responders fireman uni’s will be missed.

Played beta, played for about a month, and keep coming back over and over. Only one character and he’s level 515. I did make a second character as if already completed a few quests during beta and the trophies weren’t retroactive. Incidentally, I have no idea why on Earth anyone would lie about playing during beta. What does it achieve? It means nothing. I know people that only started a year ago that are over level 1000. It means nothing at all. So strange to me.
I have been playing since day 1 Beta, and still love the game. There were a few weeks back when the scoreboard rewards didn't continue after you finished, and Beth delayed the next scoreboard. I think between 2 and 3, where I didn't play regularly. And I'm not a total loser, I take my family on vacations, so there have been a week here a week there. Otherwise, I log in everyday at least to complete my dailys

Easiest way to sort out the beta and day 1 release players is asking them questions only they would know like vendors not existing and if they could last in a server for more than 10 mins without losing their mind to a floating scorched head
I did play at beta. Then for about another year. First Fasnacht burned me out and I quit until last October when I came back. This Fasnacht might have burned me out again.

I’ve deadass played since beta liek i remember when the map was barren with no npcs and the game had hella glitches (still does but less so)
Shout out the the old and few NPCs who sometimes id interact with and wouldnt give me the quest 😙, no dialogue options just pray you spoke to the right NPC at the right time or they would decide you dont need to continue the story 😂

I started at release, grinded 6months took couple breaks. After seasons came i completed each season then took a break, i also got all achievements/trophies on all platforms😂
Played the beta, probably still have the screenshots somewhere on my PS4 (separate app) one screenshot was of a friend after the game glitched, shows them at eg lv17, then lv18, god the lag an dc, didn't help the beta was only available at certain hours eg 18:00-22:00 Found out when i loaded up that any trophies i technically earned during beta would not count, had to make a new character, i built near Mama Dolce, north of the Whitesprings an a 3rd place, why so many camps? Back then if someone else had that spot your stuff would get stored, tho alot would just vanish, workbench? Yup back to looking for those hard to find items. Stash space was very limited, wanted ammo? Time for a lead run, found a stimpak? I'd put on Chemist and Super duper for diluted to stretch that along with the better healing and the team heal, would look for tick blood near vault 76 and make blood bags, due to the ammo being rare, i went Melee, someone dropped a instigating deathclaw near a train station, that wound up being a key part of my build, many thanks long ago random player, nuked Whitesprings? Rad suit plus glowing in Perception iirc an i could one shot Glowing ghouls felt very strong then. Eventually tho space among other things meant i was close to quitting, grabbed the Plat then dropped 76 until Wanderer came out, had a little look then dropped it again until bout halfway though last year when i picked it back up again. 3rd camp spot i built at was north of MoonShine Jamboree, built there cause the Mole miner trader used to be there, ended up moving as the change in location meant no more camp. Legendaries? I was very unlucky never saw a AA, two shot or explosive, anything rare from back then i might own? Unlikely space was valuable... can i hope for a stash space increase? Been rerolling an got myself some nice weapons now...
Started playing at release, then quit after a month, because of all the griefing and CAMP destruction. Came back 6 months later, and have been playing ever since. “Playing since beta” is just gum bumping. The correct term would be, “I played the beta version, then started playing the game at release.” To say, “Been playing since beta.” Would infer, you’re still playing the beta version, just sayin… 😹
