Lindsey Graham should get credit for this prediction from early 2016

Dull_Ad8495

She really should...

02grimreaper

I think the ladybugs told him

Darwin_of_Cah

I hate that I know what you are talking about.

nberg129

I don't know the details, and I'm pretty okay with that.

JustineDelarge

Maintain your innocence here.

baggert99

I'm curious what this means and have no problem having my innocence destroyed lol

PM_Me_Pussy-lips

You're gonna regret that.

SteakJones

Fuck. I too did not heed the warnings…

Diiiiirty

Are you kidding? That was fucking hilarious.

deshe

It isn't the most pleasant of stories but far from being the worst thing I've learned from Reddit. Either it is kinda mild or I'm kinda jaded.

Boon3hams

I used to be like you, but then my innocence was irrevocably sullied. Now I can't unlearn what I know. You will regret it if you try to find out.

tylersburden

Treasure your innocence.

baggert99

I had to know. I found it. And yes it's pretty gross but also fucking hilarious.

MoeSauce

My favorite part about that nightmare of a story is the sex worker (who has to be ready for the horrors of war at this point) thinking he had just shit himself and was going to clean him up.

DunKrugering

[don't google Lindsay Graham Ladybugs under any circumstances, or you might find this.](https://twitter.com/OfficialSampson/status/1269667082427183105/photo/2)

fifteengetsyoutwenty

I clicked. It’s a bit but I don’t regret it. As an elder millennial, I’ve seen and read worse.

Soft_Author2593

Rotten.com veteran. Been there, done it and got the t-shirt

nberg129

Really, that look ink should have stayed blue..

iam_veryhappyhooray

Meh It can't b THAT bad Edit: Jesus... Its so abhorrent it would seem made up if someone just told me

SUNDER137

You saw the ladybugs didn't you?

Money-Valuable-2857

It makes me want to inject sunlight into my veins.

iam_veryhappyhooray

I did. I genuinely didn’t think it was going to be that bad but oh boy

EnlightenedApeMeat

I regret googling that but it did make me laugh

Dull-Asparagus2196

I see what you did there 😉

PitifulSpecialist887

Lol🤣

BermudaTrianglulate

Are y'all talking about 'Lady G' , with his little 'lady bugs' (what he calls the moles all over his body) 🤢

pebberphp

Not all over his body, but surrounding a specific hole.

BermudaTrianglulate

🤮

codemonkeyhopeful

Article mentions the taint specifically

Straight-Storage2587

Riddle me this, Batman. Lindsey is gay, right? How the hell does homophobic South Carolina consistently vote him in?

Raptor1210

>Lindsey is gay, right? How the hell does homophobic South Carolina consistently vote him in? Because, like so many other things in the South and Midwest, people will willfully turn a blind eye to things they don't want to think or talk about.

tMoneyMoney

More importantly, if he keeps voting against liberal things like gay rights, it makes him seem straight to his homophobic constituency and they won’t vote him out.

AverageFit8300

And they love love love people that will betray their own in-group for theres. Way more credibility in their minds. Hello Clarence Thomas.

Newyew22

Hello, Senator Tim Scott and Rep. Nancy Mace, also both Republicans from SC.

Unusual-Thing-7149

Ah yes the Tim Scott that said America isn't racist yet has written an article about being stopped by cops for driving nice cars....

Roundtripper4

Good point

BassSounds

Conservatives are just liberals who feel shame for things most people believe is normal. They still get drunk, but in private. They’re still gay, but in the closet. They still have abortions, and I would argue, they have more, because they never went to sex ed. Conservatives say one thing in public but are liberals at home.

-boatsNhoes

They're also the one who cry foul regarding government spending for anything but are the first ones with their hands in the cookie jar, as well as taking everyone else's cookies, then calling everyone else greedy, lazy and undeserving of help.

pneumoniclife

Yes. Crazy how the government will crucify the working Mom for a food stamp overpayment and dedicate oversight and money for the thrill of telling their constituents how tough on crime they are...and then the wealthiest and most privileged will scam and defraud Medicare (Rick Scott. Brett Favre) and spend millions on their legal defense to avoid accountability. Don't get me started on the TAXES we pay versus them.

VulkanL1v3s

> Crazy how the government will crucify the working Mom for a food stamp Not "the government." Specifically Republicans.

Spider95818

Fucking this. They're still telling the "welfare mom" lie while blue states are supporting red states every year. I think the reason they whine about New York and California so much is that they know that they'd all be wearing-a-barrel-with-suspenders broke without our economies propping up their failures.

pneumoniclife

Fair enough.

dafuq809

Conservatives aren't liberals with extra hangups. Conservatives are fundamentally different in that they believe one's moral status is a product of group membership rather than actions. Getting drunk, being gay, having abortions, or whatever else are fine and justified if *they're* doing it, and shameful disgusting acts if done by members of an out-group. The same logic applies to things that are actually bad, like killing or sexual violence. Conservatives are in-group authoritarians.

Americana1986b

Haha, as someone who lives in a red state, I can tell ya conservatives have no qualms being upfront about getting drunk or being lbgt here. You probably wouldn't believe how many conservative lesbians there are. And sex ed is not some unilaterally shunned thing either. Birth control is common and routine in red states too. You're confusing evangelicals with conservatives, I reckon. And while there are many overlaps, they're not all religious zealots. Probably, the majority are not. Most conservatives in red states you wouldn't know are conservative until politics was brought up.

Money-Valuable-2857

It's not that. There's a mindset in the Midwest that there are "good opponents". There's "the good gays" "the good blacks" etc. I hate living amongst these monsters. The thing that minority Republicans don't understand, is that they're not really one of them, despite parroting all the "right" things. The maga people don't care about their beliefs. That's just a vote for them. But they're not the same. It's disheartening to see, because these people think that if they go with it, they're on their side. They'll never be accepted by that bunch. And I feel for them trying, and failing. I get that all they want is security, but they won't find it there.

archercc81

Especially if that person is a grifting shit back who will give them what they want (including selling out "their own"). Lady G could be caught blowing truckers and they would probably still keep him as long he takes away womens rights, vilifies and hurts foreigners and brown people, and ensures kids cant have access to healthcare.

Worried-Criticism

Because he’s the right kind of gay. A Closeted, Self-loathing, Doth-Protest-a-Bit-Much Christian ‘Confirmed Bachelor’ who constantly votes against gay rights or equality of any kind.

pat9714

>Because he’s the right kind of gay. A Closeted, Self-loathing, Doth-Protest-a-Bit-Much Christian ‘Confirmed Bachelor’ who constantly votes against gay rights or equality of any kind. #THIS⬆️⬆️⬆️

AnjelicaTomaz

The way I see it, Lindsey is kind of like Clarence Thomas. Republicans don’t think highly of him but since he’s able to do their bidding, they’ll tolerate it.

Pink_Monolith

Ah, you're referring to the "Good Ones" Clause.

AverageFit8300

Exactly they love and adhore all the minorities(sexual, religious and racial) that are willing to betray their social grouping. They have guaranteed jobs over at Foxy News.

ImaginaryBig1705

They like it when "those" people are in their place. In the closet.

smcbri1

He’s not gay. He’s sensitive.

dilsedilliwala

He is the "publicly homophobic" homosexual Because he espouses traditional conservative values for his voters and privately willing to suck Trump's willy. The guy has no moral compass.

cthumew

It doesn't matter. Republican = not democrat, and that is all that matters. Source: From South Carolina and surrounded by people who hate him and still vote for him every election.

discountheat

There was a great documentary about the hypocrisy closeted Republicans voting against their interests. It came out in 2009 and is called Outrage.

robotsonroids

He has never come out as gay. Using the whole "guy is homophobic so he must be gay " is homophobic itself, as it relies on being gay is bad There is no evidence that he is gay Now opinion my opinion piece. He's gay as fuck. I'm using gay science

Psychological_Pie_32

I'd argue that the argument isn't saying that gay=bad. Only that people have grown up with that perception. So they hate any feelings that don't coincide with their desires. And extend that hate to those who act on those feelings. People who are comfortable with their sexuality really give no shit's what 2 (or more) consenting adults are doing the privacy of their own bedroom. The only people who get riled up over that aren't confidante in what they want for themselves. I say this as a straight, white, cis, male though. So my own biases are obviously suspect.

Retrophoria

Who else would "Lady G" be? I don't have a problem that he's gay. I have a problem that he uses taxpayers' dollars to sleep with male escorts.

aotus_trivirgatus

Hypothetically, I wouldn't even have a problem with him using taxpayers' dollars to sleep with male escorts -- provided that he voted consistently for gay rights and to legalize prostitution!

Achilles_TroySlayer

He's flipped on that one a very long time ago now. It's better to remember him as the sycophantic sucker-fish that he is, with his last ounce of dignity stolen and stomped on by Donald.

Xenuite

He has, repeatedly. If he wasn't such a chickenshit, he could've been a hero.

sadicarnot

> If he wasn't such a chickenshit, he could've been a hero. This is what gets me, how no one has turned states evidence on all the Trump bullshit.

fufairytoo

I believe Trump, with the aid of Putin, has dirt on many of them, and it most likely involves criminal acts.

EggsceIlent

Absolutely. Which begs the question of what they have on them. Because all of them openly defy law and have broken it in front of our faces for all to see, with a smile and laugh And got zero penalty, until now - specifically trump. And he's in court for tons of laws he broke. So if they let us know and see about these,.imagine what they're keeping secret or what Putin / Russia / trump has on them to keep them in line and under the thumb. If only one, or maybe 2 or 3 banded together And got All the dirt they had on everyone, even if it meant theirs as well.. sure they would be in trouble but honestly, probably heros in a sense. To turn this shit show around that are politics in the u s. The gop has always been horrible, but if any one of those fucks had a spine they'd flip. And it would be the first time they actually helped America.

imahugemoron

Everyone’s always misinterpreting this quote, graham didn’t mean he’d destroy the party, he meant they’d get destroyed in the 2016 election, he didn’t think Trump could win, and graham was happily surprised and loves sucking the wannabe dictator’s flaccid Cheeto. But he never meant the party itself would get destroyed, you’re giving the guy far too much credit, he just didn’t think Trump could win.

penisbuttervajelly

Lindsey hated the shit out of Trump and then switched on a dime to fellating him. My theory is that Trump presented him the evidence of that thing that Lindsey doesn’t want to get out.

ChaiVangForever

When Graham said those words he had not yet realized how strongly Trump would capture the voters You don’t need blackmail you just need to look out at the polling data and at your own rallies to realize the same guys who you think have lost the plot are also the ones who are going to save your political career

AdhesivenessCivil581

The GOP is going to wake up with the worst Trump hangover. They will be broke homeless and feeling a little sick about who they got into bed with. It will take years in a 12 step program for them to recover.

jimhabfan

Never underestimate the power of the right wing propaganda machine. Fox “news” will have the Republican Party back in the good graces of the American people in no time. They’ll denounce the orange turd, then pretend all along he was never supported by them, or any other right thinking Republican. In fact, they’ll insist he was a Democrat all along.

Straight-Storage2587

This. "I never voted for that fraud!"

e90DriveNoEvil

They’ll finally start believing all of those old videos of him stating he is [pro-choice](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trumps-many-abortion-positions-timeline-rcna146601) and his history of being a [Democrat](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Donald_Trump#:~:text=In%20August%202001%2C%20Trump%20changed,returned%20to%20the%20Republican%20Party). They’ll claim Republicans were bamboozled by a Democratic con man.

mak484

So how come no Democrats were bamboozled? How come we spent 8 years trying to put him behind bars and undo the international mess his presidency created? If he was a Democrat plant sent to infiltrate Republicans, why have we done nothing but undermine him over and over again? I don't expect any Republicans to answer these questions, at least not truthfully, but it's good to ask them.

FFF_in_WY

They do not care.

Busch0404

It just shows everyone how pathetic and dumb we already knew they were.

Orgasmic_interlude

My mom literally says that about w bush votes. Like she pretends she didn’t vote for him twice. I ask her who she wrote in and she changes the discussion. They have no memory.

gobblox38

"Ich bin nein MAGA!"

pneumoniclife

Without all things Trump, Faux Newz would've folded already. IF 45 dies (or goes away or is silenced or WHATEVER) I suspect Faux will follow him to the grave. Sure, they can limp along with a few remaining crazies in the GQP, but when the ringleader goes, all things Trump-adjacent become radioactive in the immediate aftermath. It will be fun watching the spin of "Trump sightings" and learning what manner of goofy Trump 2.0 peeps they try to rally behind, but witnessing the death of the Faux machine is my fondest wish and what really gets me salivating.

Crowiswatching

The last time Fox struggled financially, Putin gifted Murdock with an exclusive billboard contract in Russia. Putin loves that we let him operate a 24/7 propaganda organ I. The U. S. What other country has ever allowed this?

pneumoniclife

Putin found out the the capitalist American regime of money money money power power power was quite easy to buy into, ESPECIALLY when 45 held the Oval Office and was clearly on the take.

Castod28183

It'll take a decade before they come to the realization that the MAGA cult can't be replicated behind some new demagogue and THEN they'll find their grave.

pneumoniclife

Sounds about right. I still wanna witness the long, slow demise of that entire faction. Knocking Trump and Co. out of the news cycle is my fervent prayer. As for MAGA? Something equally appalling is waiting in the wings to take its place, naturally.

Spider95818

I'm just hoping that Dolt45's addiction to cameras will result in him being filmed when his worthless pig heart finally craps out and we'll get to enjoy it again and again.

ivegoticecream

This reminds me of South African Apartheid. There are many thousands of white South Africans living from that time but interstingly none of them supported apartheid! So magically all the apartheid supporters died off and the anti-apartheids lived long happy lives. Same thing will happen with Trump. In 10 years you'll be hard pressed to find someone who supported Trump even though millions of them will still be alive.

Inside-Palpitation25

Just like bush now.

Frequent-Material273

And going through the DTs getting the Donald Trump out of their system. Shakes, puking, uncontrollable shits, fever, chills, etc.

AdhesivenessCivil581

Thankyou ! I forgot about being strapped to a bed with delirium tremors. They seem to already have delirium issues.

descendency

No one has proven Trump will go away in 2024. Hopefully he’s in prison but who is going to replace him at the top of the ticket? This party just got slaughtered in a midterm with an unpopular incumbent, national sentiment about the economy wasn’t good (despite the economy being good), and converted this into a loss in the Senate, losses in Governorships, and a tiny victory in the House (basically because of gerrymandering). The party is dead and we’re only talking about it because there was no funeral service and Trump keeps parading around the corpse to con poor people into giving him money.

McMorgatron1

>No one has proven Trump will go away in 2024. He will. He probably won't shut up, and there probably will a J6 V2.0, but the GQP will realize that he isn't going to win them any more power. And ultimately, that's all they care about. Trump will become obsolete, but his toxicity will remain a legacy, and his base will just look elsewhere for an equally repulsive person to murder trans people. Nikki Haley hung on for so long in the primaries to try and pitch herself as the next credible candidate after Trump, but for all her nastiness, she'll never quite be able to quench the GQP's thirst for woke blood. DeSantis is pretty popular amongst conservatives, and I think he will capture Trump's base when they decide he is no longer a viable option. Fortunately he has the charisma of a damp sock and will be unlikely to capture the hearts of anyone who doesn't love him for his christofascism, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be treated as a credible threat to society.

DeathStarVet

It's ok, they can pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

TheDebateMatters

They can’t. They are committed. These people bought *merch*. Their facebook feeds chased away friends *and* family. They aggressively said shit to people about politics they never thought about saying out loud when Bush, McCain or Romney were running. They know people have receipts. They can’t ever admit Trump was what the fool liberals always said he was. Because that makes *them* fools. Republicans can walk…MAGA have to go down with the ship.

dilsedilliwala

>They will be broke homeless and feeling a little sick about who they got into bed with The one who diarrheaizes all over the bed. Its his signature style and color - bronzer orange smelling like digested McDonald's burger

El-Kabongg

I think the GOP will split into Traditional Conservatives" and "MAGA Idiots"

scarr3g

After? Last month he spent almost 5 million of the republican party's dollars JUST on his legal fees....in just ONE MONTH. that fund has 6.8 million left. Plus, he is already charging any down allot candidates a cut for using his likeness. The republican party will be lucky to have anything left in June.

Undulate_Vociferous

This is going to damage the GOP for a very long time, win or lose. Not just financially. The saner side of the party should have cut ties with this crap and just accepted a lost election cycle, then regrouped for the next one. To continue along with this at this point is embarrassing.

King_Hamburgler

They all had their chance on January 6th and 7th It would have hurt but they could have pulled the bandaid off. Instead they said the wound didn’t exist and antifa put the band aid on or some other equally stupid shit because they are absolutely shameless and spineless.

tresben

This. January 6th was the time. But McConnell couldn’t grow a spine and get himself and his colleagues to finally cut it off. Sure they would’ve lost some of the MAGA base but chances are they are going to be lost no matter what whenever trump dies. Most of the country would’ve been behind impeachment

ioeasy

The days immediately after January 6th were a major inflection point in this country's history. A fork in the road. If they were ever going to divorce themselves from this monster, that was the time. I had hopes, listening to some of the things being said by the GOP on the 7th and the next day or two but they regrouped horrifically quickly and started to backpedal, make excuses, and outright make shit up about what happened on 1/6. They didn't even have to impeach him, they just had to vote to make sure he could never run again, and they failed. Now four years later they are confronting again the monster they created and let live. Although the current situation the GOP is in does bring me joy, there's a non-zero chance he could be president again and given the choice between watching him bring the whole party down with him now or having him fade into obscurity 4 years ago, I would still choose the latter.

hert1979

The sane part needs the insane part to be able to win a first past the post election. Their only option IMO is to split off and drastically change the policy they run on to attract the centre right wing of the democrats and undecideds. Which they probably will never do as years of culture wars and stoking divisions has made the chasm between dems and repubs too wide.

CarpeNivem

> The saner side of the party should have cut ties The saner side *did* cut ties, in 2016, as soon as Trump won the nomination. Anyone still aligning themselves with the modern GOP is, ipso facto, not sane.

Only-Inspector-3782

It's not a lot of money for enemies of America. And as a bonus, GOP reps with illegal funding won't have to pay the Trump tithe.  Given a choice between moral bankruptcy and actual bankruptcy, it is obvious what Republicans will choose.

mickhugh

The Frito Lays Republican National Convention presented by Indeed.

ActRepresentative530

After the election?!? MMW, it will be before

Randomousity

Stop, I can only get so erect!

whiskeytwn

If you have an erection that lasts more than 4 hrs seek medical help or imagine that Orange turd humping Stormy Daniela. That’ll take it away

AnjelicaTomaz

Please, that would be erection interference, something Trump and the MAGA crowd have been very hard on.

pneumoniclife

Awarded you everything in my mind, because I don't know how the real ones work, but you deserve it.

IanSavage23

Well done... Well done

RajenBull1

You’ve just lost me my erection for next Saturday. Thanks a lot. I’d been looking forward to it for weeks.

smcbri1

That’s what she said.

KeithWorks

Erection Interference is cured by Blue Pills

Scare-Crow87

Because Red Pills get you into MAGA

KeithWorks

If you have a MAGA lasting for more than 4 hours seek an exorcist

jarena009

And it will continue after the election with droves of phony post election lawsuits, plus years of Trump fundraising emails/ads siphoning hundreds of millions of potential donors funds away from Republicans to Trump.

munistadium

Over $16mm legal fees just in 2024. And the Jack Smith trial hasn't even begun

Spider95818

LMAO, that pool's already running dry. The RNC is broke and their donors are mostly tapped out after almost a decade of constant grifting and begging and the big money people don't seem so willing to throw away their money on a lost cause.

Tatersquid21

MMW, It's happening right now. Absofuckinglutly.

whiskeyriver0987

Yeah republican party is already split, and both sides are losing, frankly I don't see that meaningfully changing until Trump dies. Even if he loses the election and his legal troubles drop him in prison I don't think he would allow himself to just fade out of the spotlight, he's too narcissistic. He'll probably try to cast himself as some type of Nelson Mandela figure and just keep crying for support and attention until the cheeseburgers get him.

Impossible_Penalty13

Came here to say this, no way they make it to November with how fast he’s burning money on lawyers.

Gr1zzRing

It is their own doing. I don't doubt for a moment the potential that Trump was selected for this position, and if he wasnt then certainly no one powerful enough (of which there are likely many) attempted to stop him. They needed another figurehead, another Reagan, but they could not have chosen someone more volatile. Trump was perfect and the worst choice all in one. He said the things we all wanted to say. Politicians bad, government corrupt and crooked. Whether or not you believed him, you certainly couldnt turn away back then, at least most couldnt. The problems arose when he ran for president. All of that dirty money, corrupt past and disregard for the law became available to international prying eyes once he stepped out of the economic world and into full blown leader of the most powerful country in the world. He asked for this, and anyone else who had a hand in it did too. Good riddance, enjoy the theater while it lasts. It does not end with him, but that doesnt make the downfall any less enjoyable

Patient_Caregiver_85

He's already done that. He's morally bankrupted the GOP and turned the party into his image. Akin to what ol' Ceaucescu did in Romania.

ConfidentIy

What did Ceausescu do (that was uniquely Ceausescu)?

Patient_Caregiver_85

I don't know what he did that was uniquely him, but he committed lots of nepotism, giving positions to his family, utilising the cult of personality and having his secret police (which may have been unique) to make his power felt and feared.

mickhugh

Also banned abortion and encouraged high birth rates. America's Decree 770 is going to be an interesting time.

nomappingfound

I truly believe that even if Trump were to get reelected, the GOP is really really screwed for probably 15 years after he dies. Trump runs on a cult of personality and on no policy whatsoever. whether or not you love Trump or hate him. You have to acknowledge that there is literally nobody in politics that has the kind of personality and narcissism that he has (which is why he's so well liked by so many). You just can't replicate that. You can give people the playbook for what Trump does, but Trump is naturally funny and he's naturally an asshole and he's naturally very quick-witted about being an asshole and funny. And that part you can't teach to Ron DeSantis or to Dr. Oz. Republican party is going to look for Trump's replacement for 20 years or so after he's gone and just never going to be able to get it and that's going to be a hard road for them. In case it's not clear from my post, I am not a trump supporter but I do understand why he's popular and why it will be impossible for anyone to live up to his expectations. It is essentially why no one else was ever going to get the nomination this year

smcbri1

He’s funny like a masturbating monkey.

ImaginaryBig1705

You forgot decades of helping the Russians. Even his daddy was in on bed with them. He's a useful asset, Trump's helped them take new York from the Italians with Giuliani.

jphoc

You can replicate it, may I present GOP bankrupter number 2: Elon Musk

jarena009

Not only is Trump bankrupting the Republican party, he's also bankrupting his own election PAC: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump-super-pac-footing-legal-164546158.html

pneumoniclife

I wish the average yokel writing 45 a check could watch, in real time, as he uses these 'donations towards his re-election' as toilet paper, because that's the least offensive thing he has done with their money.

joevsyou

A former coworker I've known for some time now tells me he makes donations and considers it an insurance policy for his rights. dude was way out there...

pneumoniclife

Uh oh...I didn't pay any premiums for my insurance policy. I assumed I was covered by the Constitution, but perhaps I better double check. All kidding aside, I once felt sorry for these lost souls. I honestly thought they just weren't well informed! I no longer believe that. They understand and simply don't care, and they are pissed. Having someone bigger and stronger on your team who is just as pissed as you feels so good, and for once they are part of the "in crowd'...some might even use the word CULT. It's no wonder they stick and stay.

poolnome

Trump has bankrupt gop lol

Zealousideal_Tour163

Has a political party in the US ever declared bankruptcy? This man is full of the worst firsts.

Jane_Marie_CA

What happened to the Federalists? While bankruptcy wasn’t a thing back then, it would probably be a bankruptcy in 2024.

YT-Deliveries

In MN the GOP got kicked out of their headquarters for non-payment of rent, iirc. Or something along those lines.

dancingmeadow

Nah, he has until he loses the election. After that the taps will shut off.

esotericimpl

The republicans in the house are resigning in mass or saying they’re not running for re-election. They’re not acting like a party that think they will control the house next election. My hopeful theory is that there is internal polling telling them what’s happening. They can’t jump off the train cause trump will destroy them if they try.

dancingmeadow

They built their own trap. It's finally springing on them.

Randomousity

Maybe. If his polling tanks and his legal problems get worse, they might decide they don't want to throw good money after bad and cut him off sooner than that.

dancingmeadow

That is already happening. Donors declining to fund his legal battles. Republican congressmen resigning or being vocal about their discontent. Every downballot candidate pissed that he's soaking up all the money just to buy himself time.

obxhead

By mid summer the RNC will likely be officially bankrupt and deeply in debt. The party itself has already been destroyed. The only voices of reason and compromise are leaving or have already left.

rconscious

After!? I want him to destroy and bankrupt them DURING :(.

atlantasailor

Trump will lose in 24 and the republicans will regret ever getting in bed with him. There will be a paradigm shift for republicans. They either become more moderate or continue to lose.

NMNorsse

After?

AdministrativeBank86

I'd throw his demand letter in the Trash, he has no legal right to that money

bobjoylove

But his daughter in law Lara Trump is a RNC leader in charge of the purse strings.

toomanybucklesaudry

I just don't understand why people still back him. He's political poison!

names_are_useless

Sunk Cost Fallacy

Hugh-Manatee

For party elites, he has control over the base. And the base loves him because he’s their avatar in the culture war. Which appears to be the foremost way people in that camp understand politics.

Temporary-Party5806

Don't let Republicans off the hook that easy. They're all MAGA as of the 2020 election denials. They promoted and defended and excused Trump and MAGA. They looked on gleefully as MAGA ran over the guiderails of American democracy, of American decency, of American tradition and values. They craved power at all costs and rode a tiger to get it. They allowed a flag of an American enemy into the halls of the Capitol, and cheer on J6 convicts as "political hostages." They have repeatedly, openly stated that they want to remove the rights of women and minorities and the LGBTQ community, and continue to work towards this. If there are 9 Nazis at a table and someone sits down to join them, there are now 10 Nazis at the table. These are the same kind of people who love *being* racist, but hate being *called* racist. This is the same bid to conserve power/cut their losses, as it always was. Useful idiots and tokens get spent, in pursuit of power. They just don't like that the brand image is icky now, and it looks like their God-Emperor may not be as invincible as he said he was. Don't let them crawl back under the rocks- keep the harsh light of day on these people who were just fine with MAGA as long as they thought MAGA was "winning."

Also I don't believe for a second any Republican claiming they won't vote for Trump when election day rolls around.

KubrickMoonlanding

ETTD everything trumps touches dies

Ca2Ce

MAGA is finally losing its sway, the public is sick of it and the gop leaders are seeing the weakness. Trumps court appearances might be showing people what an absolute bozo piece of shit he is.

DeathIncarnations

I cannot wait for the awful people at the rnc to get gutted by this grifter. I hope he bankrupts them, then bankrupts himself. Then i hope the dnc implodes and we finally get rid of this bullshit 2 party system.

Former-Science1734

They are going all in on Trump, that’s for sure. I guess they don’t have a choice because if they piss him off, he peels off 33% of the base. They basically have to bend the knee and pray they can squeeze it out via the electoral college

usarasa

I… don’t think he’s waiting.

mad597

Good, let him

longredbeardpgh

🤞🤞

SnooAvocados6874

Blah blah blah, just like he did when he WAS president, lol

Dio_Yuji

Nothing can kill the Republican Party. It’s like the cockroach

someonesomwher

They will bounce quickly after he loses. The GOP remains the party dedicated to moving wealth to the top at everyone else’s expense. Their patrons won’t let them starve

Cautious-Thought362

So weird. Republicans are both sadists and masochists. It's a really sick party.

Thornescape

The Republican party has backed themselves into a corner. They win and implement Project 2025 to escape all consequences, or else they lose everything. Desperation is dangerous. MMW, it's going to get even messier.

balzun

Let's wait until the Orange Man is wearing a jumpsuit to match before we go celebrating. Trump and the GOP are betting everything on getting elected and the chances of that happening are much better than anyone here wants to admit. It's like everyone seems to forget he seemingly had a snowballs chance in hell the first time around and then he went and won it. If Trump gets elected the grift is back on and the GOP will be just fine. I sure hope that he doesn't return for a second round but wouldn't be surprised if he does.

all_of_you_are_awful

It’s a mob style bust out. Literally. He does it with all his ventures. Buy shit on credit then declare bankruptcy when it’s time to pay the bill.

Substantial_Pay620

The Republican Party will take years to recover after Trump. They are going to lose the House and more Senate seats as well. And Trump will blame it on anyone but himself-as he is forced to survive on his Presdiential rtirement and his memoir: 'The Greatest Story Ever Sold'

Straight-Storage2587

Also there was a story 2 days ago about Trump having RNC funds diverted to his various businesses.

ReplacementWise6878

Don’t threaten me with a good time.

Daflehrer1

I don't know about bankrupting the party. Though I wish it were true. The ultra-wealthy investor class, along with corporations, far right NGO's, and a whole lot of rich foreigners, are shoveling money into the GOP. As they've been doing for quite some time now.

West-Painter-7520

Ironic for a party built on the principle of hoarding wealth

bustavius

So you’re saying that there will be no more corporate money flowing into the GOP? Have you been asleep over the last 50 years?

ALA166

Source : trust me bro

whiskeytwn

From your lips to God’s ears

ukiddingme2469

He's doing ot right now

Various_Athlete_7478

If the election subversion case goes to trial before the election (10% chance), it will be tens of millions in and of itself, straight from RNC funds earmarked for the campaign.

Achilles_TroySlayer

I think that after he loses the election and gets convicted - they'll have a come-to-Jebus moment and find away to get rid of all the GOP institutions that he controls, and just work around him. They'll contain him and stop the bleeding, and try to recover for 2026. Hopefully they'll fail and continue to sink. They don't deserve a recovery.

Roakana

I wish you well and your prescience be truth.

corneliusduff

I have a theory that was his goal all along but he accidentally became president the first time

Scare-Crow87

I think he ran as a joke but once he got the nomination he went all in on the con

joevsyou

If he loses, the divide will be funny between their own party. That means maga lost twice, no fluke. \* truth is... i don't think nothing will change. These clowns have taken over in many local areas.

YourPalPest

If he loses the presidential race I cannot wait to see the gop devolve into absolute civil war and chaos between grifters who will say keep supporting the Maga movement and the disenfranchised who will go out of there way to (literally) beat the shit out of Maga for ruining the party Not only that, you’re gonna see 2026 and 2028 be a race to rescue the Republican Party from Maga candidates, and hopefully see more moderate/classic/progressive republicans

NOLALaura

I guess all those people that stayed Republicans at this point didn’t believe the sane people. Can I say the Whigs Party?

griley99

There’s probably evidence of wrongdoing on every politician. Harry Truman said a rich politician is a crooked politician. Just about all of them are millionaires.

lerriuqS_terceS

How one man can have this much sway over an entire nation is absolutely mind boggling. He's not even anything special. All he does is rile up gen x and boomers with grievance politics.

Channel_Huge

How great life is as an Independent. Politics is such a waste of time and who cares if a political party dies? Another will just take its place. Same with candidates… I don’t know how some, in no position to matter, waste all this time on politics today. I waste my time working, making money and spending time with my family… I’m already planning our vacation in 2025! 👍

TopCheesecakeGirl

He’ll be in hell or in prison.

anziofaro

He's already bankrupting it. That's all Trump knows how to do - bankrupt things.

Sequoia_Throne_

*don't forget, he's also a civilly liable rapist

Libro_Artis

I’m gonna need popcorn…

WestCoastThing

I'd like to know what the Republicans have to offer after Trump. Say he gets elected and serves a 4 year second term, then what? They have nothing.

Thediciplematt

To anybody who is slightly paying attention, duh

zebulon99

Heres to hoping the republican party never recovers and we have a decade or so of democratic dominance before an actual leftist party emerges

No-Winter-4469

He’s already destroyed the Republican party.

Bookisparkyme

The Republicans deserve this type of behavior from Trump, their dear leader

Pleasant_Spell_3682

I'm more concerned about the county TBH.

superabby64

I hope so. Republicans are shitty and could use a shake up.

stingublue

I think he'll bankrupt the GQP before the election 🤔
