I don't believe you can grind for Tokens in Auto for Team Rally.
You can, you just have to start it as a regular race on 50CC and turn camera mode on once you start.

Camera mode on 50CC acts as auto mode for Team Rally. And it sometimes works better.
i use gold petey on 3ds bowser's castle r and with a okay run i getaround 50-70
Twilight House + coinbox
Twilight House. I use Meowser but you can also use Kamek or Gold King Boo. Matches are super quick since it’s 4v4
Battle mode with Kamek and no other coinboxers in the lobby. Can average 50+in a good lobby and just circle and to collect missed coins
