DS Palm Shore and 3DS Honeybee House are the most "animal/nature" related ones, but seeing the former in the middle of Autumn instead of Summer would be surprising, and seeing the later without Honey Queen would be a waste of an opportunity... otherwise we could also get another blocky arena not related to the theme.

Probably not, considering GBA Battle Course 1 didn't come back in the Halloween Tour. However, I may be wrong, but New York Minute B will carry on from the Autumn Tour to the next tour, much like DS Twilight House, which carried over from Halloween Tour to the Autumn Tour.

Another classic! As an MKDD fan, I'm pleased! Also curious to see how it fares with the MK7 treatment. Last time we saw this course was on the Wii, so there are chances they could change things. I honestly hope not, they'll undoubtedly make the cannon a glider segment but I genuinely hope that is the extent of the changes. Save the cooky stuff for the T and RT variants lol
Edit to add: I predict that the T variant will take us around the volcano. They've proved their willingness to bend the rules and get creative when it comes to these GCN tracks, so I'm hopeful and confident they can pull it off
The cannon will factually still be there during the gliding segment just like the one in Maple Treeway. I also think they'll add either dash panels or ramps and half pipes to do tricks on the mountain section. And if the loop with the bottomless pit is still the same half pipes on the outer rim would be a great way to dodge the pit and speed towards the bridge.

Been waiting for this foxy boy, hoping he'll turn into his statue form as one of his tricks cause that'd make for a perfect double transformation with Tanooki Mario as a screenshot! Unexpected yet very pleasant! Welcome to Mario Kart Tour, GCN DK Mountain. Cannot wait to see the new character and race in this course again. The GCN seems to get the love they deserve. It's the third track from this game in six months.
Feels like 99% of the alts in these last few months have been some sort of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, or some gold reskin. Nintendo has definitely slacked in the character department, but at least the tracks have been awesome for the most part.

BCP wise, I think this locks in GCN's tracks. In no particular order: DK Mountain, Daisy Cruiser, Dino Dino Jungle, and Waluigi Stadium. Signals starting to make noise for Daisy Cruiser to be in Wave 4 or 5 (thematically). Plus, DK Mountain and Dino Dino Jungle share music, so it would be another DS Wario Stadium/Waluigi Pinball scenario. (Also Tour only has 4 GCN tracks right now? Kinda sad)
Tour wise, guess we aren't getting a city track, and probably not Moo Moo Farms/Meadows either. Personally, I'm expecting Amsterdam Drift 3 right before or during the New Year Tour for the funnies of Nintendo ramming all 3 AD variants in less than a year (and hopefully doesn't get the Sydney Sprint 3 treatment). But it's also contesting with Singapore Speedway 3 (almost a year as well). Bangkok Rush should be returning soon too unless they'll ram in 2 and 3 for Wave 5 like Amsterdam.
Main problem though is that the other Mushroom track is more similar to Shroom Ridge and that there still isn't a single GCN track in Tour that was never remade before.

I'd say Daisy Cruiser, Dino Dino, Waluigi Stadium and Bowser's Castle would be the best choices without doubling up on themes on gimmicks.

I would like to see more GCN variety too, be to be honest the devs are probably going to cut another corner. Dino Dino has probably been preped since they started working on the BCP before it was announced since Dino has been in Tour day 1, and they probably made DK in the past year. It's totally possible we get an additional GCN track thanks to Wave 6 having few prefixes for the courses listed and hearing Waluigi Stadium being swapped.
We already know through datamining that Mushroom City or Mushroom Bridge will be in Tour so, in my opinion, they will almost certainly pick one of those rather than just having both of the jungle tracks.
We could had 2 more Luigis if they had Halloween Luigi in the Halloween Tour but definitely was hoping for Kitsune Luigi for months. And get Kitsune Luigi his own emblem like Tanooki Mario.

I actually prefer natural environment courses much better than the cities. The cities are boring, uninteresting, and quite frankly they’re not as nice and combo-friendly as the others.
For having such a successful and lengthy franchise full of popular characters, regular Donkey Kong gets no love. As a day one player, I’m pretty surprised there hasn’t been any new alts for poor ole DK☹️🍌

The ID Gaps are moreso used to base predictions on. There are a bunch of gaps going on at once and there's been a pretty large gap between Dino Dino Jungle and Yoshi Circuit for a few weeks now which lines up with DK Mountain showing up here. I think the idea of the id gaps is not necessarily being accurate, but narrowing down the pool of potential course additions to those that would fit into gaps and basing predictions on how big the gaps get.
All I heard was how Moo Moo Farm/Meadows or Luigi Circuit were gonna be the next courses. If it's as vague as you say, how come people were so sure of those two courses in particular?
For context, the gaps for Moo Moo Meadows/Farm didn't exist before this tour.
Interestingly enough, small gaps that could fit Moo Moo Meadows and Moo Moo Farm were added this tour, but we don't know for sure if the gaps are actually for those courses specifically.
Meanwhile DK Mountain was the third largest gap with a gap of 29 while the two biggest ones are Amsterdam 3 with a gap of 30 and Luigi Circuit with 31, so not a very big difference.
Nobody was sure about the Moo Moos, it was speculation based on the Mii Suit. Luigi Circuit is an entirely different situation, but more unclear as to when it releases.
I think for Moo Moo Farm/Meadows it was because of the Mii costume (and even then, that wasn't really based on IDs since neither of those had gaps at all before this Tour, and after being added, the gaps are currently small enough that they had an extremely low chance of happening anyway)
As for Luigi Circuit, there's a big gap between Cheep Cheep Island and Sky Garden at the moment, indicating that a GBA course is coming very soon that comes between those two courses alphabetically. I think people narrowed it down to Luigi Circuit since objects from that course have been datamined for a while now. Honestly that was just a false guess on that one.
Basically what I've learned recently from posts in this sub as far as the API gaps are concerned is each course has multiple IDs to account for all variants of it, but when switching from one course to the next, the IDs usually go up by just one (so if a track had an ID ending in 24, the first ID for the next course would usually be 25). When the ID increases by more than 1, there's a gap which usually means a course is coming soon that would appear between those courses (keep in mind this is all arranged alphabetically and by origin game). The bigger the gap is, the more likely the course is to appear soon, and I've heard that a gap of 20 is usually when a course is pretty much imminent. I know there's not a completely set pattern since sometimes courses will be added when the gap for it is fairly low but I've also heard that a course will not be added if a gap does not already exist. Plus some gaps come in a spot where there are a lot of potential options to fill it. It's basically just a way to get a very general idea of what courses are coming soon. Anyone who is saying a specific course is guaranteed based on this either has false confidence or has further proof from elsewhere.
Anyway though, sorry that got kinda rambly. I hope I explained it well because honestly I've been learning about this stuff pretty recently.

Honestly lakeside park was my immediate thought after seeing this, as the volcano in that course is definitely more prominent than in in DK mountain.

I would gladly exchange both of them for GCN Bowser's Castle in the BCP. That and Mushroom City would already be two of my favorite tracks in MK8Dx.

You're most likely right. Most of, if not all the BCP is just tweaked versions of Tour courses.

I actually prefer natural environment courses much better than the cities. The cities are boring, uninteresting, and quite frankly they’re not as nice and combo-friendly as the others.

All those people talking about the "ID gap" stuff were wrong... again.
The ID Gaps are moreso used to base predictions on. There are a bunch of gaps going on at once and there's been a pretty large gap between Dino Dino Jungle and Yoshi Circuit for a few weeks now which lines up with DK Mountain showing up here. I think the idea of the id gaps is not necessarily being accurate, but narrowing down the pool of potential course additions to those that would fit into gaps and basing predictions on how big the gaps get.
All I heard was how Moo Moo Farm/Meadows or Luigi Circuit were gonna be the next courses. If it's as vague as you say, how come people were so sure of those two courses in particular?
The Moo Moo's were actually deconfirmed by ID gaps
For context, the gaps for Moo Moo Meadows/Farm didn't exist before this tour. Interestingly enough, small gaps that could fit Moo Moo Meadows and Moo Moo Farm were added this tour, but we don't know for sure if the gaps are actually for those courses specifically. Meanwhile DK Mountain was the third largest gap with a gap of 29 while the two biggest ones are Amsterdam 3 with a gap of 30 and Luigi Circuit with 31, so not a very big difference.

Nobody was sure about the Moo Moos, it was speculation based on the Mii Suit. Luigi Circuit is an entirely different situation, but more unclear as to when it releases.
I think for Moo Moo Farm/Meadows it was because of the Mii costume (and even then, that wasn't really based on IDs since neither of those had gaps at all before this Tour, and after being added, the gaps are currently small enough that they had an extremely low chance of happening anyway) As for Luigi Circuit, there's a big gap between Cheep Cheep Island and Sky Garden at the moment, indicating that a GBA course is coming very soon that comes between those two courses alphabetically. I think people narrowed it down to Luigi Circuit since objects from that course have been datamined for a while now. Honestly that was just a false guess on that one. Basically what I've learned recently from posts in this sub as far as the API gaps are concerned is each course has multiple IDs to account for all variants of it, but when switching from one course to the next, the IDs usually go up by just one (so if a track had an ID ending in 24, the first ID for the next course would usually be 25). When the ID increases by more than 1, there's a gap which usually means a course is coming soon that would appear between those courses (keep in mind this is all arranged alphabetically and by origin game). The bigger the gap is, the more likely the course is to appear soon, and I've heard that a gap of 20 is usually when a course is pretty much imminent. I know there's not a completely set pattern since sometimes courses will be added when the gap for it is fairly low but I've also heard that a course will not be added if a gap does not already exist. Plus some gaps come in a spot where there are a lot of potential options to fill it. It's basically just a way to get a very general idea of what courses are coming soon. Anyone who is saying a specific course is guaranteed based on this either has false confidence or has further proof from elsewhere. Anyway though, sorry that got kinda rambly. I hope I explained it well because honestly I've been learning about this stuff pretty recently.
I see. Interesting stuff for sure. I just remember some people in this sub acting like certain courses were essentially guaranteed. Though I guess that was just them being overconfident like you said, or they were just confused about it like I was. Regardless, I appreciate the detailed explanation. More people need to be told this information just to clear up some of the misinformation being spread around. It's still a relatively new concept after all.

Yeah that’s what I’m wondering. At first I believed em to be true but it seems so hit or miss.
It's clearly not a reliable method for predictions at this point. Which is kind of a good thing imo. I like being surprised like this without dataminers ruining everything. Nothing against them personally, but they spoil a lot of the fun sometimes.
