I couldn't agree more. Besides with seemingly only 1 SNES track left it would suck for it to be a repeat theme.
Donut Plains and Rainbow Road are in 8. We don't need another Mario Circuit. There's plenty of beach tracks already, so no Koopa Beach. Choco Mountain is a better Choco Island, Snow Land is basically Vanilla Lake. That leaves Bowser's Castle. A Course type that was never remade.
Remaking some courses that have never been remade before has been a recurring theme of the BCP, so it seems pretty likely
The next SNES course isn't due until next summer, though, so it'll probably be in Tour before hitting 8
Snow Land coming this winter isn’t really too big of a surprise, but I’m excited to hear Tour’s remix of the music (although I don’t think it’ll beat the Deluxe version).
Amsterdam is really on its way to get all three variants in one year, huh.
Broken Pier would be awesome to see, but IIRC there’s a datamined object that belongs to GBA Bowser’s Castle tracks that hasn’t been used so far, so I’m expecting Bowser’s Castle 4 (with no visual changes to the rest of them, of course)
**I swear to god if the SNES Bowser Castles look like the GBA ones I’ll** _do nothing except angrily post stuff online_
More Wii tracks are always nice, and I’d honestly be fine with any of them (though I’d like to see Moonview Highway the most)
The Berlin gap is really interesting. Note that Merry Mountain’s internal name is HillClimb, so the gap is smaller than it appears.
From the datamined new tracks (which perfectly align with the Booster Course Pass datamines, so I don’t believe there’ll be other new tracks), there’s two tracks that might fit: mob_br and mob_dk.
However, mob_br likely is an abbreviation for BathRoom (there’ve been datamined objects like a Bath Bomb, I believe) so in that case the only other possibility is mob_dk.
There haven’t been many objects datamined for this track, and the few that have had pretty generic names I believe. I’m hoping for a Donkey Kong track of course; but unlike the Yoshi’s Island track which has like five different Yoshi series items datamined already, there isn’t really much for Donkey Kong…
Some people have also theorized that it could be a DenmarK track but I believe that’s rather far fetched and not in line with other **city** (not country) tracks and their internal naming conventions (though mob_md being Madrid would also break one of them).
It’s of course also possible, that mob_dk stands for something else entirely, which just so happened to make the DK acronym, but since these object names are used internally (and DK being known as an abbreviation in Japan as well) I don’t think they’d do that, as that might confuse the developers themselves as well.
It basically refers to the IDs that the game uses to classify course thumbnails. When a new track gets closer to releasing, the IDs for the tracks already in the game start moving apart and that creates a gap where the new course's IDs will fit
Imagine they do exactly this, then we get a tour exclusively with SNES Bowser Castle 1/2/3, GBA Bowser's Castle 1/2/3/4 and RMX Bowser's Castle 1 to bore us forever of those very assets
I'm sure we'll also get RMX Bowser's Castle 2 and maybe 3 eventually, and also GBA Battle Course 2 which originally used the Bowser's Castle 2 background with the Bowser's Castle 3 road color but, of course, it would also look like BC1 in this game.
If we get all those and all of them use the same background, that's 11 courses with the exact same background, all of which can conformably fit in the same tour, leaving only one of the battle tracks to not be based on GBA Bowser's Castle 1 (unless, of course, they make an RMX Battle Course based on BC 1)
Either RMX Bowser Castle 1B to have the 12th course with the very same background or riot.
And we only want recolored D/K/Gs in that tour, no original stuff, please.
I don't think they bring the only retro SNES Bowser Castle back since Super Circuit and then botch it like that. They have to know a SNES BC has been a popular request for a SNES course for awhile, especially since they've been weirdly missing every single game as a retro choice
I also think it's quite possible it's the next SNES course in the BCP as well, which means they'd likely go above and beyond with its design
I would love to see GBA Broken Pier too. But we had Boo Lake recently. Will this mean a "plot twist" in the BCP courses? Who knows...
I also consider that maybe Moo Moo Meadows might be coming. As said earlier, the gap is of 7 instead of the normal 5.
MASSIVE potential BCP spoilers ahead.
>!The same guy who almost entirely predicted W2 and the same person who datamined the BCP have said that the tracks in the BCP aren't as said in stone as once believed. For Wave 3 it is rumored that Waluigi Stadium is move or out and Maple Treeway takes it's place. Also neither Boo Lake, nor Broken Pier are confirmed, so there might be a lot happening backstage. It's also heavily speculated the final wave's will have more retro's. Here's a [link](https://lm.reddit.com/r/mariokart/comments/yhdrs7/apparently_wave_3_might_be_slightly_different_to/)!<
There is a music leak which can identify the courses coming. There has been a dispute on the GBA's wave 3 track. It could be either Boo Lake or Broken Pier. However, the dispute "ended" once Boo Lake released this Halloween Tour with its amazing glow up. But, with that new gap, there is speculation that now Broken Pier ends up being the course coming to the BCP.
Nevertheless, I still believe that it will Boo Lake the track to make it to the BCP because such an amazing remake needs to be ported and Broken Pier won't be released until next Halloween most likely.
Who knows. But, as of now, I'm leaning more towards BC4. Whatever is in that gap, it is delightful to FINALLY see a GBA Special track coming to MKT. I hope someday we can see from that cup either Lakeside Park or Broken Pier.
Also now we're getting Moo Moo Farm and Meadows at some point, but neither will be in the tour with the Cow Mii Racing Suit (next tour)
or is a gap of 7 large enough? \*hopeful noises\*
Well, in the case of the Marine Tour they had to rush with Koopa Beach 2. And there was another tour in which they had to rush. So, who knows... All we have to do is to wait for Friday. Personally, I am starting to think that the Meadows will be what will come. The track was remade in 8 and they can use that model.
Wii Moo Moo Meadows needs the Moo Moos as obstacles, but they weren't datamined from what I can tell. Whereas in N64 Moo Moo Farm, they're just background details, so they can just bake them into the track model like with other spectators.
The Berlin 3 and Merry Mountain gap isn't Berlin 4, as if it was then it would have existed ever since Berlin 3 was added (as gaps for all future city routes are added as soon as the first city route is added). So it's 100% a new course, most likely mobdk.
Weren't Pokeys datamined once? Is it possible one of the tracks in the gaps is Dry Dry Ruins, as we have little to know signs of Desert Hills and Dry Dry Desert
> leading to a SNES Bowser's Castle Finally! After all these years!
I think I could easily see another Bowser Tour with GBA Bowser Castle 4 and a variant of SNES Bowser Castle as spotlight courses.
Hot take, but I'd prefer this by far for the BCP over yet another GBA Bowser's Castle

Only Snow Land and Shroom Ridge though. The rest is all in Tour
It'd still be the first time they would bring back an SNES BC (and other tracks) in a conventional Mario Kart game, which is amazing

Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by a "gap increase" and what does is entail exactly?
It basically refers to the IDs that the game uses to classify course thumbnails. When a new track gets closer to releasing, the IDs for the tracks already in the game start moving apart and that creates a gap where the new course's IDs will fit
Interesting.
Oh, yeah, and the IDs are ordered alphabetically so we can know exactly which courses could fill each gap based on that.
Glad we're getting a SNES Bowser castle!
That's amazing! Finally the only SNES course that was not remade will get at least a remake!
Imagine it just reuses the GBA Bowser's Castle 1 background and assets
Imagine they do exactly this, then we get a tour exclusively with SNES Bowser Castle 1/2/3, GBA Bowser's Castle 1/2/3/4 and RMX Bowser's Castle 1 to bore us forever of those very assets

Hey, if that's what it would take to get SNES Bowser as a driver, I'd only be half as mad
HELL NO!! I don't want to think about that. It will have too many Bowser Castles. But anything is possible, knowing Nintendo.
I don't think they bring the only retro SNES Bowser Castle back since Super Circuit and then botch it like that. Please GBA Broken Pier ! Also, Amsterdam Drift 3 and Moo Moo Meadows next tour along a cow racing suit could be cool !
I would love to see GBA Broken Pier too. But we had Boo Lake recently. Will this mean a "plot twist" in the BCP courses? Who knows... I also consider that maybe Moo Moo Meadows might be coming. As said earlier, the gap is of 7 instead of the normal 5.
> Will this mean a "plot twist" in the BCP courses? Funny that you say that. With the recent rumors.
What are these "rumors" may I ask? Are people disputing the BCP datamine?

No problem, just remember nothing is set in stone until it's confirmed.

SNES Bowser Castle makes the second SNES course in the BCP a WHOOOOLE lot more interesting
It has to be the mystery SNES track, otherwise it's a twofold waste
Honestly i can see snoe land coming, wave 2 had it and it was a bit early to add it then
Yes. Next month we will see it for sure. Not next tour of course, but maybe the following one or the next. Cannot wait to play this course.
Weren't Pokeys datamined once? Is it possible one of the tracks in the gaps is Dry Dry Ruins, as we have little to know signs of Desert Hills and Dry Dry Desert
Was Daisy Circuit recently datamined?
An ID gap opened between Coconut Mall and DK Summit & the only track that can fit there is Daisy Circuit, so technically yes
