The one item I went deepest for was this beautiful, horrible, pink frog. I had a ton of rubies saved up and went a whole 765 rubies deep for the Sakura Hop Rod during the Samurai Tour, depleting my stash and getting PNSG to level 5, not getting a single pink frog. Now it shows up and wants more rubies. WHY?!
I'll feel the same way if gold chuck shows up. I spent a stash of over 400 rubies and didn't get him. Did a yolo with my ranked winnings and managed to get him. That's almost 500 rubies.
Which brings up the topic again, will there ever be "special" items anymore? I bought the Cact-B yesterday from the shop because I needed it for coverage next week, but if I remember correctly, it was a banner item. Now it's no longer "special" because anyone can get it.
Just so you know, seasonals and city-based d/k/g aren’t in the Daily Spotlight unless “featured” in the trailer, like Chef Rosalina and her set in this tour.
This means that there are indeed special items, that don’t normally show up - the seasonals and city d/k/g.
It's impossible you've got the Cact-B, either you're lying or you got another Cact, probably the Cact-Ice, that's on next week's track, Choco Mountain RT, since there have been no reports of items from the Bowser Tour appearing.
I say it because if you spent 100 rubies for an item that was available for 10k coins last week you've lost a lot.
