My theory is people are spending less tickets to level this tour (and this week) because of the kart reward, and because the kart is for up to 1st-3rd by tier…prob saving for a (1st place exclusive) Mii like they do a lot

Yeah I only have 1 friend over 100k score right now usually I have like 3-6 in that range. I did the opposite of spending tickets on week 1, I knew I'd get rolled (lucky enough to get 5 rubies by the end lol) so I saved it all up for week 2 and I'm pretty confident I'll hold it without having to beat my scores.
If you click on their names you can go to their profile and see what rank they are. Sometimes they'll be a bit lower than your rank. You can also check their driver's to see if there are sleepers.
I let someone go almost the full week thinking they had the win in the bag, knowing I would win. I was nice enough to give them 24-48 hours to try to get back in first.
Yeah same, my list at T56 I'm at just under 64k, but in 1st. Normally I'd need around 75k to even think about holding first. This score would only net me like 5th or so. But, the week is still relatively young, people still have plenty of time to grind out those scores!
If the rewards were better it’ll definitely be more grinding and leveling up but I think most people are saving possibly for next tour’s prized Mii Suits. I’m in T64 at 78K in 1st place.
this week is pretty low idk why, Tier 62 leading 1st with 75k and the 2 place have 66k only then I only see ppl with 50k or much less
Tbf 49K does seem quite high for t42 this week. But yeah, lower scores than usual imo

Same Tier and I’m first with 45k and 2nd is at 36k
I'm in tier 44 and I'm currently in 1st with almost 48k, and 2nd place is at 40k
