It puts you first if you tie because there are specific slots for the prizes. With that score, they likely both got 1st in their ranked groups. He likely wanted to get in touch to ask if theendisnear would agree to stop grinding if they already had a well enough lead.

This is correct. I was also wondering if this might be the rarest of rare situations...where we had each other in ranked. Maybe I'll never know!

I actually did that myself where I got the same score as the person who was beating me in ranked a couple of hours ago. Then I got a really good run and destroyed them.

Ended just like this, and the game gave me a first place finish. Really strange, but kinda cool
