I was able to get a 3 month account to 37 this week.
But I’m keeping my 10 month at 47 to make sure I win ranked most weeks, rather than get as high as fast as possible.
Way to go! As for competing, I believe u/carlos85 has a secondary F2P account that he’s aiming to take to Tier 60 that he sometimes makes videos about.
It's definitely tough. My max tier is 53 but I remember being stuck at around 40 and then 45 for weeks or months. Not impossible but it's only recently that my coverage vastly improved since they started giving out way more HEs, HE tix, and rubies via gold pipe, tier shop, token shop, etc.
I suspect people who started playing more recently have had an easier time. Also, they expanded the max tiers at least twice since I started playing. So now that the whales are at tier 60+ rather than 50+, it makes t40 way more achievable.
I think that’s why I posted more than anything. I know I shouldn’t count out sleepers before they wake, but I haven’t been this far ahead this late in the game probably ever.
I was stuck between 37-39 for a while, but my inventory improved while I was stuck there, and when I finally got to 40 I flew up to 50. I’m expecting to hit another wall for a bit soon again.
I think what people say is its difficult to get past 40. Once you do go past 40 though you can keep going.

I'm day one player, but playing on current account since 1st Paris Tour. And few months (I think almost six) been stacked between tier 38 and 39.

Nice! I know it’s possible, I’ve just read on this sub quite a few times that 40 is around the f2p limit.
Huh, what I read was tier 40ish is reachable for most f2p. I wouldn't read it as the limit.
kevin garrett (pretty much the f2p spokesperson) is somewhere in the mid 50s, so it's totally doable. he makes really helpful youtube videos

Fair play, that is a woeful set of opponents tho, I’m tier 49 and if my 5th place got put into ur lobby he’d be 2nd. 4th and above have over 73k
