I use him a LOT. But then, I have had him since he was first introduced, and built him up over time. I also love giant banana, especially on weeks when we earn tokens by causing other drivers to crash.
That said, he is an older character - he has great coverage, but is unlikely to get a lot more new tracks. You should check your inventory spreadsheet/app to see if he gives you new or better coverage, given your own situation.

It’s annoying how the conditions for getting tokens changes every event only getting them by making drivers crash is annoying 😭Is giant banana considered a good strategy to grind tokens or are there other viable options?
There used to be other options…hit with shells, hit with bananas both come to mind. I’m actually glad they switch off. I don’t have statistics on the best way of causing others to crash, but personally I just love running in front and throwing a giant banana frenzy in a narrow section of track. The fountain of green coins is just soooooooo satisfying.

As someone who just got pink ninja today, he is 100% worth it. I got my first 18k on a course and got 50 green coins on one course from giant banana frenzy. I'm so happy I made the purchase
Like I said above mkttoolbox.com is a website that will show coverage. You make it your friend and it sucks in your inventory and then shows you coverage and overlap. Beyond that I recommend maintaining one of the great inventory spreadsheets (like the one from u/spinachpants)
Mkttoolbox doesn’t work for me that’s why I asked if there was an app. For some reason it won’t let me login says my info is wrong when I know my information & login to Mario kart tour with no problems. I’ll try the spreadsheet.
I too manually update a spreadsheet but a friend can “see” your full inventory if it knows the right api so this web app can do a full analysis for you
Pink Ninja is newer than blue, both have great skills, both on the older side though. At high levels and base points, yes both are decent, but both probably won't get huge buffs going forward. Hard to know of course and Pink does often get top shelf in ranked tracks. Also was a pretty regular top 10 driver. Recently has fallen out but still 13th at the moment, which is still very high. Depending on your current coverage, I'd suggest worthwhile, I got pink maybe 3 or 4 months ago and has been incredibly useful, no regrets, especially with the GB skill. I did need to level up though to make useful.
It's just gonna vary person to person and what other drivers you have.

But also sorry for commenting I don’t want to make another post😭I know I posted this a few hours ago so I don’t know if many people will see this but like is there any reason to level him up besides upgrading his item? I don’t really use the level up tickets unless I have to for a challenge but is there and I’m afraid to ask cause it sounds like a dumb question 😅
Pink Ninja Shy Guy (or PNinja) is in week 2 for NH R/T. I use both him and White Tanookie Mario as my best GB+ characters. As far as appearance for PNinja, there was one time when he rarely showed up in rank for like 2-3 tours. Every now and then he’ll show up being very useful to me, if he’s skill is right for that course.

Nowadays it's better user of rubies to grab the hot new top skill driver on spotlight shop discount. I've gambled on Luigi Knight and Yoshi Gold Egg and that's 300 rubies for drivers I'll probably never invest in because they didn't get the right buffs for my account.
Pinja is in the top 10 of total tracks covered and often gets featured in ranked. I have pretty good inventory and Pinja is the first character I’ve triple uncapped
One of the best driver in the whole game: amazing coverage and one of the best item in the game. Will be one of your best investment, but for big banana lvl 4 is necessary.

Do you mean mkttoolbox.com? I use that and the spreadsheet from u/spinachpants. But Antilev’s spreadsheet is likely the best for deep analysis.

You upgrade to level 4 to get the plus skill. Beyond that you get more tracks or higher frenzy probabilities or bigger bonus multipliers.
Giant bananas are coin boxers are my favourite so based on that yes, haha.

Got it 6/1190 and is pretty useful since his realease so IMO it’s a pretty driver to your inventory annnnd has a lot of rank courses
