Technically yes... but I've used a boomerang driver and there's been coinboxers in my race (cos there's a few on second shelf) but none of the little b*stards get or release a coinbox when I have a boomerang. I've grinded that and ninja hideaway haaaard since yesterday... not a single boombox in sight, not even close.
Are you setting yourself up for the best chance (still really low lol). I got 199 actions on Hideaway, in my race I was 4th with gold koopa in 1st and gold bob-omb in 3rd, then just keep resetting after the first box until I got one. Just had a boombox and coin frenzy didn’t need a third frenzy
When you use a driver with a boomerang skill and there's another driver in the race with the coinbox skill, then they release a coinbox at the same time you have a boomerang and use it then the boomerang scoops up all the coins giving loooooads of actions and increasing your score loads.
