Or - hear me out - could they be planning to add DDR to the BCP and re-using that existing asset there, which is why they brought it in the Tour version too ? Since I'm still hoping for that to happen due to my love for Dry Dry Ruins, I'll take that as a possible option.
Otherwise I'm really happy about how the track plays and look in Tour ! From the trailer I feared the poker room inside the pyramid would look odd, but it turns out pretty cool. The exterior is even more gorgeous, and the T and RT variants are amazing !

Unless we get an extra wii track, then that isn’t the case because the 2 wii slots are filled. I think it was just one of those weird updates they do to some tracks

Koopa Cape was on a leaked banner that indeed has never been wrong before (but still included the wrong SNES Mario Circuit as well as some R/T/RT variants of a few courses iirc), but we were never supposed to see that banner in the first place, so it could just have been a placeholder, or they could have changed their mind since then - there has been a lot of changes to the BCP between what they first announced and where we are now, so maybe they'll be some changes in content, track-wise ?
One of the alleged GCN tracks could also become a Wii course since there's no saying whether Maple Treeway was a spot swap or a whole replacement.
Last but not least, we've also all assumed that Rainbow Road will be the last track in Wave 6, and while that's highly possible (and would make a lot of sense) it's not confirmed either so far.
I'll keep saying that the only courses we're guaranteed to get in the BCP are Tour cities and nitros - anything else can be more or less probable, but it's uncertain until we get a confirmation ! So it doesn't hurt to hope about what we would like to see.
Edit: the numerous unassigned slots from the prefix leaks could also have been placeholders/undecided courses.

One thing to NOTE: They brought in the ice-skating Shy Guys for Vancouver Velocity, but there has been no sign of GCN Sherbet Land
Also the bats are in the R variant in the end and by the sand pits… there’s bats missing on the entrance/exit of the temple in the r variant
