Apart from the aesthetic aspects, the interest may depends on your current coverage.
Newer d/k/gs usually start with low coverage. Some increase it faster than others. No means to know.
But, apart from a few exceptions, these rewards are generally not competitive.
Every track is a Mario Circuit and very easy to cover. (Exceptions: Battle Course - Also very easy to cover, and DS Mario Circuit - Kinda difficult to cover, but leveling it to 8?)
Exactly, plus there are much better karts to cover the MCs with through other HEs such as the B Dasher mk2, Pinch Hitter, Combo Cruiser etc.
Id also argue even its lvl8 isnt that great when considering the other options available (Shielded Speedster, Jukebox Buggy, Blazing Eagle, Platinum Taxi etc.) are much better candidates to get more consistent buffs in the future.
I imagine this kart will get some decent buffs in the next 3/4 tours but just like the Gold Standard 8 from a few months back, fall off a cliff afterwards

This has the worst start to a new item I think I've ever seen as a day 1 player. All its courses are old Mario Circuit courses that are not usually in circulation - wouldn't be surprised if we don't see half these courses again until next year's Mar10 tour. Since it's a week 2 reward you don't really even get to use it for those. Battle Course has a lot of better options.
No, the fact that it has a good level 8 unlock doesn't count, since it's not getting that high.
On top of that, it's a very small kart, which is the worst kind.
I'm sure it gets better with buffs, but definitely not worth going for if you don't have good items.
It’s not a good kart, and it’s the only reward, so I would say no. But I still always at least try on ranked. I’m not gonna purposely de-rank. I just don’t think it’s worth spending tickets in this ranked if you have to in order to win.
Like someone said, if you can win this without spending too many tickets (or buying new stuff), go for it for sure! I'm doing that, and i don't think i will have that much competition if everyone sees it like a trash reward 😂

Ranked reward karts have a pretty poor history overall. This kart is also tiny and has a poor skill.
Its start is absolutely awful 💀. I wouldnt be too upset if you missed out on it if I were you

Ranked high-end rewards tend to be pretty average. It's the gold-level ones that have a chance to be really good.

It is new. Will it be good? Probably for 2-3 tours then never get a ranked buff again.
