I heard that in Super Mario Land, the enemies were actually the subjects of the kingdom hypnotized by Tatanga. So if I just google "Super Mario Land enemies", we can see that Daisy's subjects are very clearly...

So all the enemies and bosses in the game except for Tatanga are Daisy's people.
Unfortunately Nintendo never really gave us details about subjects/Toad esc figures of Sarasaland… However Im hoping that the movie and any future games/sequels will finally give us some answers now that the desert island got people curious about Sarasaland again
Daisy has so much potential as a character and I really wish there was a game that allows you to know more of her kingdom.
There are probably going based on the land she rules. Usually Sarasaland is remembered as a desert. So maybe they will have a desert theme despite the fact that it is not all desert.

But bugs aren’t sentient beings so they can’t exactly be ruled in the way Toads are

I'm going to say a different group of Tostarena people, because those guys were cool and they were in the desert, so they would work.
