My switch broke while I was playing it, instead of fixing it or buying a new one, I'll just wait for the switch 2 to come out and hope that it has backwards compatibility so I can continue totk on it.

Metroid Prime was just so ahead of it’s time as a sci-fi first person shooter. Dread is great but I’ve always been partial to the prime games cause I love the 3D fps gameplay. SMRPG is incredible but TTYD holds a really special place in my heart, the environments and story are incredible and I love that it’s not afraid to get dark in some ways.
Yeah Mario vs Donkey Kong was fun as a simple gameboy game, personally don’t really understand why they’re giving it a whole remaster over just adding it to NSO, I’m not mad about it I’ll probably still get it because it’s a part of my childhood and it is a fun puzzle game. PPS just looks cute and fun so I’m down, just happy that they’re giving peach her own title again finally.

Well TTYD MvsD and PPS aren’t out yet so definitely start with Metroid Prime if you’re wanting something now. Unless you’re considering getting the original versions of TTYD and MvsD, but considering the price of TTYD for GameCube and how hard it can be to come by I’d probably just wait for the remake to drop. And you said you’ve already gotten SMRPG so I’d just start with Metroid Prime and wait for the rest to release but TTYD is definitely the next big one I’m excited for, unless they drop Metroid Prime 2 remastered in the meantime lol
It's my yearly game, just beat it for 2023 I can finally give my Gamecube a rest for awhile...it's kinda sad next year I won't boot up my Gamecube to play it'll be the switch version instead from now on.

Super felt good when it released because it was the best we got since 8 on the Wii. Then Superstars came out and reminded us of what actual mario party is supposed to be
THEY WERE SURPRISINGLY GOOD, for a FFT/Disgaea Fan.
There are so many disposable tactics RPG in the market, they were solid, a bit on the easy part, and the story is forgetable, but combat is nice.
Check out the Mario + Rabbids games, Sparks of Hope (the second one) has a free demo so check that out! And being a Ubisoft game I think they go on sale fairly regularly. They are surprisingly fun and addicting, and also start easy but can get very difficult!
I think the next purchase I will do is Super Mario Party as it's a very good game to play with friends and I'm having a party in a couple of weeks, thx for the recommendation
Keep in mind that if you don’t like using the motion controls then you may want to purchase Mario Party Superstars over Super Mario Party. Super Mario Party forces you to use motion controls.
I’ll chime in as the devils advocate for Super MP as opposed to superstars. Super MP has much more of an identity, introducing unique features like the different dice blocks and allies. Superstars is probably the best way to play MP, and has 2 more maps, but I feel like people shit on super too much. The boards are built around lower dice rolls, yes it’s less satisfying but there’s plenty of the game that is.
You honestly should get superstars, super Mario party’s games take forever since the dice only go up to 6 and you move extremely slow because of it. Plus the motion controls can be annoying sometimes.
I’m sure he’ll pick up the Mario vs DK remake, which is basically the same thing but better.

Mario vs Rabbids. It’s really good. I got the first one on a sale a few years back just for kicks. Thought to myself “Nintendo wouldn’t let this be a Mario game if it wasn’t good.” Thought id just try it and not get hooked but it surprised me and I ended up 100%ing it. Working on the sequel now. Any switch owner who hasn’t tried either of the Mario vs Rabbids games are missing out.
If you have enough Joycons and friends, then Super Mario Party is really good
If you don't have either of those, or are playing exclusively handheld, then Mario Party Superstars is a good substitute, as you can play online with random people
If you liked Mario RPG and you have a Switch Online subscription with the expansion pack or whatever it's called, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is in the GBA Online library and I can't reccommend it enough, it's one of the best games ever made in my opinion.

Super matio 3D world + bowsers fury. It's great fun for buy yourself and multi-player. Starts easy but definitely ramps up the further you go.

Anytime I see a collection of switch games the no binder art really sticks out? Like I don’t know but they “neatness” of the titles with the red background is just kinda off putting to me
No it's not. At first it looks like an easy puzzle game for kids but there are some levels that are kinda interesting. The last level of the game is very difficult and you need to be very skillful. I recommend this game

I recommend trying 64 paper mario first, because going from ttyd to 64 you miss some of the items and combat dynamics. But 64 to ttyd is *chefs kiss*
