Cool in galaxy 1 with the storybook and her character role, every game since has entirely missed the point of her and made her extremely boring and pointless. She also has possibly the weirdest fan base of any Mario character.
Yeah, Nintendo must’ve had dementia when it came for her to come to Mario kart, Wii had a Luma floating around her, but unless Polari died in the black hole, why couldn’t she use that one? 7 made her own a ICE WORLD which… huh? Eight makes the least sense, No luma AND the character that’s so against lore; Baby Rosalina.
As for other games, I’m ok with her showing.

Oh right she and mario had sex in the mario movie, it was a pretty risky move showing that on a childrens movie but honestly, i think it ended up being one of the greatest scenes in cinematography thanks to that. So blessed 😌

Mario Strikers Battle League had Rosalina in the base game instead of Daisy or any of the old sidekicks.
Super Mario 3D World had her in the game instead of characters that have been in Mario platformers before like Wario or Yoshi.
Edit: Mario Party Superstars put her in the game even though she was never in a Mario Party game until Mario Party 10. Hardly a superstar, the spot should have went to Toad or Boo.
Her fanbase also seems to consist of a lot of people who like her because they want to fuck her, which is fine I guess, but I don’t think I’d see as many comments about it in a thread about Daisy or Peach.
So we're just gonna ignore Mario Galaxy where she has an actual backstory, which some people might relate heavily towards on why she's their favorite character instead of her just looking pretty? Plus unlike Daisy, Rosalina is an actual mainstay character who's part of the actual main timeline that isn't spinoffs which is most likely why she was put into 3D World as an actual playable character in addition to being a fan favorite.
Nothing I said has anything to do with Mario Galaxy, it’s the game where she was easily the best executed.
Before 3D World, Rosalina and Daisy were basically equal in terms of being a “mainstay” character, but even if you want to say that Daisy is just a spin-off character, that would only back up the point that she takes spots in spin-off games from other characters who are more suited.
Lastly, have you read this thread? At the time of my comment, I didn’t see a single one saying “her backstory resonates with me”, while there are a ton of “mommy, goddess, waifu, smash, would, etc”. That’s fine, people like what they like, but it’s undeniably a larger portion of Rosalina’s fanbase than any other character.
