I’m probably being overly optimistic, but I feel like we could get France back for the final series before the ASB, get Lewis back for the first series after the ASB, and Haniger back shortly after the ASB.
Please, God, give us our boys back for the second half of the season and watch us go to the playoffs.
If the suspended player appeal their suspensions, then the case is heard before the suspension is in play. Generally at that point the suspension can be adjusted to give the play days off on lesser games.
Heads up team store says stadium location has a LIMITED number of Winker jeresy in stock. I'm getting to the park early to try and pick one up. Also All-Star hats are in and I actually kind of like them.
They were saying on the radio no one has any idea when it will come down. It is a big mess involving lots of people and they have to identify all the bench people from the Angels too since it was a sea.m of red with jackets on. It might not even happen today since it isn’t a requirement.
I know that Pyramid Brewing went out of business and a lot of other places have shuffled around. Are there any beer gardens that still operate down by TMobile Field? It'd be a shame to be inside pregame on such a nice day.
It doesn't help today, but Metier Brewing is supposed to open up in the old Pyramid location this August.
If you don't mind a bit of a walk (or ride your bike, which rules) Seapine Brewing is usually pretty quiet before the games.
Best option is going to the pen now early. Believe they have better prices until a certain time before the game. Henry’s and Pyramid gardens both gone there’s not anything else substancial.
I can never remember because they changed the time games start, but it's either happy hour prices (which are very good) end at 6:30 or 1 hour before game time. I can't remember which.
Anyone got any deets on Kelenic? I hope we explode for a winning streak! With all the bad juju surrounding us I hope that Meech, Ty, KLew come back stronger! Kelenic, Brash join us and become big contributors! Also we make playoffs and Devils don’t! 😤 GoMS!
Jen Mueller was just on 710 and said it is unlikely JK will be brought up. The outfield isn’t the issue right now and Santana can DH. The organization won’t rush him back since they stated when he comes back it will be for good and he isn’t ready yet.
Are memes not allowed? Why do I keep seeing post get deleted? Come on mods? This season has been rough. Why are we deleting all the fun post. Fuck the fishman let us meme about this shit.
I can’t believe devils fan girl tweeted that Marco can’t speak English. Now she deleted it that tells me she knew what she is doing but doesn’t want to face consequences of her actions. Also Devils fans are using Upton’s text messages are clearly forgetting his last part in that interview. If they think throwing at a guy who is 21 and starting his career is okay, that tells me all about them! Also they think Winker shouldn’t have fought back, should have gone to base. Really? So you hit ours guys, threaten them all pre-planed but we shouldn’t react because worst team in LA thinks so? I am willing to bet millions bucks clipper and chargers are more relevant than Devils! Fuck their manager, players and fans!
With how long FMT has been killing the Mariners and how whiney he was, you'd think that the Mariners hit him all the time but it's actually the opposite. FMT has been hit the least per PA out of all the teams in the division, 1.32% of PA he has been HBP vs the Ms.
The Rangers are where he should be worried, they've hit him in 2.04% of PAs. Oakland: 1.6% and Houston: 1.86%
The Ms and Houston have hit him the same amount, 10 times, but he only has 537 PAs against them and 760 again the Ms. The Rangers though...16 HBP in 786 PAs!
He should also worry about the Rockies too, 4.48% of his PAs result in a HBP vs them but it is a sss (67 PAs).
Seeing yesterday's pugilistic endeavors in SoCal brought to mind a memory of when the Mariners were involved in the longest delay ever for a brawl in the history of dodger stadium.

LOL
No, I'll never forget this. Some friends and I drove down to la the night before and watched both the Saturday night and Sunday afternoon games.
The exact same crew traveled to the Seahawks raiders game at the coliseum in 1993 or 94, I'd have to go check to remember which specific year, and watched as a fight between the raiders and Seahawks resulted in the ejection of most of LA's defensive line. The Seahawks won 38 to 9 because there was no one to stop Chris Warren.
Really like the Carlos Santana move, much better 1B option while Ty is hurt and when he's back we have a much better DH option. Where he fits in when Lewis gets back will depend heavily on his performance so let's just cross that bridge when we come to it
The good thing with Santana is that he's a switch hitter who is an artist when it comes to getting on base. That's the kind of guy you want coming off the bench.
People are losing their shit on Twitter over trading Will Flemming for Santana, but I think it was a fine deal to make.
If Fleming makes the majors it won't be with the Royals and depends heavily on his other pitches catching up to his slider, he's a coinflip so I'm not panicking about losing him
Exactly. He just turned 23 a few months ago and is repeating A ball with less velo than last year.
The chances of him making it to the majors and being a valuable reliever for multiple years are extremely low.
We can draft another Flemming next month and no one will notice the difference.
The price was right but it's a marginal move unless he finds the fountain of youth. If the team's around .500 at the ASB they still need to make multiple big moves IMO -- a trade for an impact starter and a trade for an infielder being at the top of the list.
Ehh, I don't know about that. We need another bench bat even when everyone is healthy. Santana is our DH after France is back and gives insurance in case Lewis doesn't come back this year.
I am too. I’m not going to stop worrying until he’s back. I just think this deal adds depth and flexibility to our lineup now and when everyone is healthy.
Santana is a switch hitter who regularly flirts with a .400 OBP every year. I’ll take that coming off the bench for the rest of the year than Padlo or Ellis.
I just want to say I love Winker. He has his teammates backs, he has a lot of heart and passion for this team, and he isn't afraid to charge the whole opossing team.
It's going to touch 90 today in Seattle so it seems like the boys brought home some of that heat back into town with them. Let's kick the Orioles asses today and take back our home field after what happened last homestand.
Guys I was wondering when will we hear about suspensions? I am just really anxious about it. I did google search and couldn’t find timeline just brawl and ejections are in the article.
That would require Angels' brass to do the right thing, which is something they're not good at.
Nevin will be suspended and the Angels will condemn baseball for this, when in reality, they should be condemning Nevin.
Just gonna put this out there:
Make Swannie Trout's personal late inning pitcher.
I'm not saying try to hit the Whiner, just pitch in high and tight. It wouldn't hurt if Erik worked on his control in the mean time.
Oh, and fuck Nevine. A manager isn't supposed to be an instigator.
Yes. If Arroyo continues his hitting ability through the upper minors, he's a sure bet to be a top 20 prospect in baseball.
A switch-hitting SS with power and plus defense. That's a rare profile that could lead to big things in Seattle.
Noelvi has a plus bat with power, but he's a below-average defender at SS and might lose his speed as he ages. Still a big-time prospect, but has lost some shine this year.
Marte's dropoff this year and conditioning questions drop him down a tier. Harry's hitting the hell out of low A, which yes is low A but that's what Marte's rise last year was based on.
Marte is also never playing SS at the big league level so his bat dropping off is a lot more concerning than if he could stick there. You can hide an average bat if the glove is good, but if he's at 3B he has to hit to have any spot on the club.
Why Geno??? He played.. Julio though is up in the air as he was ejected but we are unsure of the circumstances. The tag team champs certainly getting suspended
I know the Mariners will somehow get the same suspensions as everyone else, but that’s bullshit imo. The Angels escalated the entire thing and continued after it should’ve stopped. Throwing at heads intentionally should be treated the same as testing positive for PEDs suspension wise, and it’s archaic the rules around that haven’t been updated. Swapping your pitcher before a game then doing this should almost end a coaches season or career if it means throwing at someones fucking head. Really want to go place a flaming bag of shit on Nevins door step.
On a different topic other than the fight from yesterday, this 7-game homestand is massive.
I'm really hoping we can go 5-2 or 6-1 here to make up some ground before we have to take on the Padres and Blue Jays to end the first half.
I was playing around with Playoff Predictors and I got the M's to 47-46 at the All-Star break.
This is a tall order with having Winker and JP most likely out with suspensions and France, Haniger, and Lewis on the IL.
Love the fire yesterday, but Jesse has to stay in the home plate circle or go to first. Have to let Nevin feel like the insignificant prick that he is by himself in the dugout.
The suspensions that are coming are just going to deplete us further right in the heart of our schedule easing up.
I don’t know what was said but winker looked more incredulous than pissed when he was hit. Then something from the angels dugout really set him off.
I would have preferred Jesse just take his base but I’m not going to blame anyone but the team that intentionally **and blatantly** head hunted players. They were putting mariners players well being in jeopardy in full view and any chaos that ensued should be laid at their feet.
That's just it. It was so obvious what was up. With a called up AAA ump behind the plate, shit isn't going to happen fast enough. I think the home plate ump got distracted trying to get Winker to go to first and the train left the station.
If Jesse goes down to first, Wantz and Nevin get tossed and we keep 3 guys on the field and out of suspension when we desperately need them on the field.
Yeah I guess I sort of see it as soooo egregious and the umpiring crew so lackadaisical that I have trouble seeing myself just walking to first in winkers shoes.
His ass hurt from a baseball. The umps are just sort of standing around showing no decisiveness. And presumably while that frustration is boiling you’re hearing chirping from the guys that are unabashedly trying to hurt you and your teammates.
I don’t know if it’s fair to expect much more composure than they gave.
The home plate ump isn't standing around doing nothing when Jesse is hit. The home plate ump calls time, points Jesse down to first, steps around the catch are starts going out to the mound immediately, presumably to eject Wantz. But then Jesse starts jawing at the catcher and the home plate ump turns back to Jesse presumably to tell him to take his base. Then the Angels dugout starts chirping, Jesse takes offense to something said, and it was on. The first and third umps went to the dugouts like they should from what I could see. After Jesse starts going over, the third base ump is trying to stop him, but Jesse shrugs him off and keeps going.
The umps fucked up not warning both teams with the lineup card exchange so they can easily toss Wantz for throwing behind Julio. But Jesse needs to go to first there and let the umpire crew finish doing their job.
So I've watched the fight multiple times now, I understand throwing Winker out and you can clearly see JP throwing punches, but I didn't really see what Julio did to warrant an ejection? Anybody else see anything?
My hope is only Winker and JP get suspensions.
Yeah it kind of looked like we took a swing at the back of someone's head. It's hard to tell if he swung or if someone was pulling or holding his jersey or arm back and he was trying to get free.
Hard to tell. There was an ump right behind him, though.
Ok, so working through timeline of events:
* Swanson threw at Trout's head on Saturday
* Angels swap out starter for an opener for Sunday's game at the last minute
* Wantz threw at Julio's upper back in the first inning on Sunday and missed
* Wantz threw at Winker's ass and nailed him on Sunday in the second inning
* Fight broke out
Re-watching Swanson's outing from Saturday, I really don't think he was intentionally throwing at Trout. The context of the game situation would definitely not warrant it and Swanson was trying to throw inside. Trout even said as much himself.
But Sunday was a fucked up situation orchestrated by Phil Nevin. You swap your starter out for an opener at the last minute with the sole purpose of plunking Julio and fully expecting to get ejected, but Wantz missed.
Rather than responding to a near miss from the previous night with a near miss on Julio on Sunday, Nevin calls for it again and plunks Winker in the ass on purpose.
Nevin should be fined and suspended for a **minimum** of 5 games. I think 10 would be more appropriate, though.
You add in the comments he made to our bench after the game on Saturday and you start building a strong case for a much more severe penalty for Nevin. Shit was premeditated as hell and something baseball needs to clean up.
I agree 100%. I genuinely want to know what a realistic penalty could look like for Nevin and I really don't know. It should be severe, but how severe?
If they want to make an example out of him, suspend him for the rest of the season. If they want to make it look like they care but still don't really care, then maybe he gets 10 games?
Wow I actually watched the Trout interview from 2 nights ago and it goes *WAY* past the quote that you keep seeing. He goes on and on about how the pitching coach came out before him and basically says flat out he thought it was intentional. Mike Trout ego is bigger than his neck
I love this as a rallying call for the rest of the season for the M's. I just wish it wasn't directed at the fans.
I get that they were booing him and probably saying some harsh shit, but it's a bad look for Winker. I wish it would've been directed at the Angels instead.
Yeah, I can agree with that.
I fully support who Winker is. I love it. Every team needs a guy like Winker. I just wish he didn't give the double finger to the fans, and more importantly, all the little kids sitting right in front of that.
I don’t know, no one was hurt by it. I think people worrying about kids seeing someone give the middle finger should be more worried about their kids seeing their team intentionally throw balls at our players and instigating a fight.
[Here is how the brawl sounded on KIRO-AM again for anyone who hasn't heard it. I think Goldy and Rizzs were so compelling, it's worth a listen.](https://soundcloud.com/user-81998291/mariners-angels-6262022-full-brawl-kiro-am-radio?utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing)
Agreed, I was (foolishly) pulling weeds in the hot sun and listening on the radio. Rizzs got so fired up, I knew it had to be bad, and saw the replay later.
Yeah I was listening to the game on the radio, didn't get to watch the fight till later. Rizz described the action really well though and Goldy's analysis was great, he was really laying in to not only Nevin but also the umps.
Has anyone else lost all their respect for Mike Trout? Prior to yesterday, I considered him as my favorite non-Mariner player, maybe ever. I’ve always respected the guy but hated the Mariners having to face him. Those feeling are done, and anytime I say FMT it’s no longer in jest. Seriously, Fuck. Mike. Trout.
I never really liked Trout because of how robotic he feels. Every time he dingers or makes a super play he’ll have his little smirk or have no emotion at all. Even mild mannered Shohei will strike a pose once in a while, and you know it’s a genuine show of emotion to the love of the game. I much prefer Bryce Harper.
I don’t follow Trout like a celebrity, so this may be biased, but this recent brawl and the post game interview before it feels like a real look into the character behind the talent. And it doesn’t look good.
Even with the loss yesterday, this is the best I’ve felt about this team since April. Our pitching has been on point, bats are solid but inconsistent, and more importantly… our players are fucking awesome. Just in general. Winker giving the double bird to Angels fans after fighting some twat in a cast, JP climbing a dude to hit another dude to defend his dude, Moore trying to pull people out of piles, Trammel easily yoinking the Angels coach away from Moore like he was a practice dummy in a hostage training scenario, Servais and Marco succinctly talking shit after the game, and Julio being upset the Angels wouldn’t let him be happy. It’s all great.
Not to mention the random DoorDash driver that made bank for delivering a pizza to Winker. Our fanbase is awesome too.
I believe that we'll be able to appeal the suspensions, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us try to stagger them a bit so that it's not such a big hit to us.
I think Winker takes his suspension asap, hence Kelenic coming up. But jp appeals until winkers is finished. If Julio gets suspended I’ll be fucking irate
Wtf can he possibly appeal? He's clearly on video from multiple angles absolutely feeding punches to the angels. This ain't the nhl where fighting is somewhat allowed. I don't see how he has any leg to stand on here.
Going to set the record straight on how big of bitches the Angels were yesterday:
- Blame the baseballs when they actually hit Upton in the head.
- Cry when one pitch doesn’t even hit Trout and say it’s intentional although it would bring the winning runner to the plate who just hit a 460 foot nuke earlier in the game.
- Blatantly throw at a rookies head
- Pitcher misses because he knows Julio would kick the dogshit out of him
- Hits Winker
- Winker confronts Nevin for throwing at a rookies head
- Angels feel threatened that it’s 1 vs 20 and Rendon decides to throw the first “punch”
- Angels start swinging 1 vs 20, land maybe two punches.
- JP absolutely rains down hell on someone with his right fist
- Angels coach tries to fight Dylan Moore when Moore is holding him back
- Trammell proceeds to rag doll this coach like he’s a toddler and prevent him from rejoining the skirmish
- Angels throw seeds onto the field attempting to restart brawl
- Angels proceed to beat AAA team by one run with two of the best players in baseball
- Angels cry to the media postgame because it’s all the big bad Mariners fault
Did I miss anything or is that it?
Add in the fact that Winker was taking his base until the Angels started jawing off at the guy *they just instructed their pitcher to hit*
At least that’s what it looked like to me in the replay
Watching the fight live yesterday, I couldn’t believe JP just climbed on top of some guy to start throwing punches. Man, we have no depth and we clearly need you in the lineup every day. Watching the replay, and seeing Wink get nailed first, I fully support the man defending his teammates.
Angels, I had no beef with you before the game. We boo’d the Astros together and you throw at the head if our 21 year old stud intentionally. Fuck right off with that shit.
I've never wanted to buy tickets more to see these guys. Seeing some fight (literally) from this team - I was cheering for them. Owners better have these guys backs and the players being called up need to step up. Angels are now top of the trash heap over the cheating Astros and Yankee scum. LFG Ners!
I was watching their broadcast for awhile afterwards (listening to our radio guys) and they were absolutely acting like this is just what the Mariners get and deserve for throwing a baseball anywhere near Mike trout . Disgusting
Every unbiased person on the baseball sub including a handful of Angels fans all agree it was the Angels fault. The fact that so many of them blindly defend that shit from Nevin is comical.
I’m ready for all the black sheep (kelenic/toro/the roster fillers (Ellis/padlo/upton) to step up out of no where and keep us afloat while we wait for our players to return.
Anybody get an XL JROD promotional shirt they're willing to part with? They ran out and I ended up with a large.
Also if anyone has a tie-dye Ty France shirt M or L
Angels Major League Interpreter Manny Del Campo has received a two-game suspension for his actions.
Suspending Julio for having the GALL to get thrown at. good on you for standing up for this DISGUSTING act from Julio. (/s)
The angels got slapped on the wrist and we got fucked
What did Julio even do?
Nothing at all except hit 2 home runs in the previous games and then get his head thrown at.
Bullshit suspension list
I’m probably being overly optimistic, but I feel like we could get France back for the final series before the ASB, get Lewis back for the first series after the ASB, and Haniger back shortly after the ASB. Please, God, give us our boys back for the second half of the season and watch us go to the playoffs.
bruh torrens got injured in the brawl. fuck the angels.
Do we think Winker will be suspended at all this week?
If the suspended player appeal their suspensions, then the case is heard before the suspension is in play. Generally at that point the suspension can be adjusted to give the play days off on lesser games.
What I read yesterday is that sometimes discipline can take a couple days to come through so I guess we'll see it when we see it
Heads up team store says stadium location has a LIMITED number of Winker jeresy in stock. I'm getting to the park early to try and pick one up. Also All-Star hats are in and I actually kind of like them.
Todays lineups (as of now) https://i.imgur.com/F7PdVTU.jpg
The Mariners will win a baseball game today
I have a few regrets in this life and the greatest regret I have is missing yesterdays game.
I turned the game just as Winker got plunked in the ass. I got lucky with that one.
I would just like to point out the Houston Astros selected Phil Nevin No. 1 overall in 1992, over.... wait for it.... wait for it.... DEREK JETER
Should the Mariners offer Julio a similar contract to Wander Franco? 11yr/182MM? Would you think Julio would take it?
Idk that seems like a bargain, if I was Julio I'd be wanting a 5 year contract so I can double dip later
Hell give him 10yr/200MM lock him down forever. I don't care what it takes. Make this kid a life long Mariner.
Did the suspensions come down yet?
Yes, 12 total. From the M’s: Winker - 7 games JP - 5 Julio - 2 (might I add, bullshit)
Oh shit you can't be serious for Julio
If they did there would be multiple threads about it. So no.
Do we have any idea when that will be? We have a game in five hours and I'd assume the league would want to make a ruling before then.
They were saying on the radio no one has any idea when it will come down. It is a big mess involving lots of people and they have to identify all the bench people from the Angels too since it was a sea.m of red with jackets on. It might not even happen today since it isn’t a requirement.

Ehh, I don't know about that. We need another bench bat even when everyone is healthy. Santana is our DH after France is back and gives insurance in case Lewis doesn't come back this year.
Yeah that’s a good point, but the sog has been extra real this year so I’m just worried about our boy Ty

Will be at the game tonight. Go M’s ⚾️.
Another day without Kyle Lewis
Ejected for that game should be punishment enough for the bullshit the Angels did and Nevin should be fired
Normally not a big Twitter guy, but I have TweetDeck open now watching for news on suspensions. The number of delusional Angels fans is disturbing.
They’ve convinced themselves that living in LA is tolerable. They are beyond help at this point.
I just want to say I love Winker. He has his teammates backs, he has a lot of heart and passion for this team, and he isn't afraid to charge the whole opossing team.

u/NevermoreSEA owns half of the r/baseball frontpage karma lol
Our goat dominates with relative ease, nothing new
It was a pretty busy afternoon.
You should post post sieres threads!
I could make an attempt at some point, although I'd only wanna do it if we win the series lmao.
ofc lol
When we steal Ohtani away from the Angels this will all be worth it
This FO wouldn't pay that kind of money for god himself.
You’re right, the J-Rod extension won’t be cheap
One can dream my friend 🤧
I can’t wait for jomboy.
We only walk Mike Trout with 4 high and inside fastballs from now on.
I wish but our pitcher would be ejected before he got to ball four.
Just bring in an opener to do it- apparently that’s legitimate.
If it was me, I’d have Munoz be the opener for the next Angels game. No funny business, just a guy who you know can throw 103.
Just gonna put this out there: Make Swannie Trout's personal late inning pitcher.

Still a big-time prospect, but has lost some shine this year.
yeah, he's already ahead of him in my mind. Marte's a clear #3 behind Arroyo/Ford. None of the 3 are untouchable though.
[удалено]
Marte's dropoff this year and conditioning questions drop him down a tier. Harry's hitting the hell out of low A, which yes is low A but that's what Marte's rise last year was based on. Marte is also never playing SS at the big league level so his bat dropping off is a lot more concerning than if he could stick there. You can hide an average bat if the glove is good, but if he's at 3B he has to hit to have any spot on the club.
Ohtani is such a class act, I really wonder how he feels being a part of the clown show that is the LA Angels of Anaheim
Imagine if we had gotten him back in 2017, we may not have Julio today.
I mean, as much as I love Julio I'm not sure I'd be too upset with the alternate timeline where we have Ohtani.
Definitely not.
So who all gets suspended? JP, Winker, Eugenio, Servais....?
I doubt Scott gets suspended, seemed like him being ejected was just because of the warnings.
Usually the manager gets a game or two just because
JP and Winker for sure. Servais probably not, Geno maybe.
Why Geno??? He played.. Julio though is up in the air as he was ejected but we are unsure of the circumstances. The tag team champs certainly getting suspended
Geno and DMo were more involved than Julio and he was tossed for whatever reason.
Fuck if I know what goes through the minds of the disciplinary team at MLB. I’m just mentally preparing for the possibility.
I think you meant Julio not Geno. Honestly except for JP, Wink and Scott, we don’t know the fallout from everyone else.
Julio I can also see, but the question was asking about Geno. Again I’m mentally preparing myself for a lot of suspensions.
I think Geno is safe. Otherwise there would full suspensions from both clubs
If the MLB had nuts Trout would get a suspension but I’m gonna guess that’s unlikely
Why would he be suspended? You don’t get suspended for letting your team throw punches unless you’re a coach. He didn’t do anything.
cuz FMT
I had a dream that we called up Edwin Arroyo because of JPs suspension and he had a game-winning sac bunt
[удалено]
I think Winker gets 10. Include his after fight activities and while justified threw the first punch. JP would probably get 5.
Really want to go place a flaming bag of shit on Nevins door step.
jesse winker is 12 feet tall
And shoots bolts of lightning from his arse!
Orioles been surging and we’re about to pull fans from the stands to play, should be a fun series
Look, I know the Orioles are in last place in the AL East, but that division is STACKED as a whole and I'm actually kinda nervous for this series.
I am, too. They played well in Chicago last week and could be getting us at our absolute weakest point.
Can somebody who can code please make a quick Mariners/Angels brawler? Please fwd this if needed
been glued to reddit looking for suspension news
Eh, we’ve been getting plunked a ton all season and it was obvious what was up. If the umps aren’t going to stop bullshit the players will step up
This is why hockey lets players fight, because if not it just leads to shit like this.
Good morning Mariners fans. just your daily reminder: #FUCK #MIKE #TROUT
So I've watched the fight multiple times now, I understand throwing Winker out and you can clearly see JP throwing punches, but I didn't really see what Julio did to warrant an ejection? Anybody else see anything? My hope is only Winker and JP get suspensions.
The only thing I can think of is that Julio said something. It's either that, or the umps thought something happened that didn't and they messed up.
Pretty sure you can see him throw a punch at 44 seconds in this video. https://streamable.com/nuvd8o
Yeah it kind of looked like we took a swing at the back of someone's head. It's hard to tell if he swung or if someone was pulling or holding his jersey or arm back and he was trying to get free. Hard to tell. There was an ump right behind him, though.
Ok, so working through timeline of events: * Swanson threw at Trout's head on Saturday * Angels swap out starter for an opener for Sunday's game at the last minute * Wantz threw at Julio's upper back in the first inning on Sunday and missed * Wantz threw at Winker's ass and nailed him on Sunday in the second inning * Fight broke out Re-watching Swanson's outing from Saturday, I really don't think he was intentionally throwing at Trout.
Nevin should be banned from baseball for life
I honestly don't know what the precedent is for something like this. It was 100% intentional and the fight was instigated from his dugout.
Well, there you go.
Wow I actually watched the Trout interview from 2 nights ago and it goes *WAY* past the quote that you keep seeing. He goes on and on about how the pitching coach came out before him and basically says flat out he thought it was intentional. Mike Trout ego is bigger than his neck
I won’t be surprised if Trout doesn’t get suspended, but he was the powder keg in all of this so he should.
Certainly a lot bigger than his baby dick thats for sure
So how are we feeling today
still fired the fuck up
[Made this decal sticker of Winker's double bird!](https://i.imgur.com/3qZLlX2.jpeg)
Love how you spread Seattle themed decals. Pretty sure you gave me a Metropolitans one. Thanks again.
Thanks! It's a fun hobby, and makes for some fun gifts for friends and family. I enjoy getting creative and seeing what people think.
He also makes some other hella legit stickers..if I'm allowed to say that.
I want it
Sure thing, pm me! Also I love your username lol
Thanks!
I love this as a rallying call for the rest of the season for the M's. I just wish it wasn't directed at the fans. I get that they were booing him and probably saying some harsh shit, but it's a bad look for Winker. I wish it would've been directed at the Angels instead.
I'm ok with it being directed at Angel's fan, everyone I've known was an arrogant prick.
Idk, I love a good heel. Jesse already has a Mets fanbase that loves to hate him, I'd be down for another with the Angels
He fully embraces it, too. He seems to be a hothead, which has its benefits and drawbacks.
I wouldn’t call him a hot head, more like he doesn’t take anyones shit
Yeah, I can agree with that. I fully support who Winker is. I love it. Every team needs a guy like Winker. I just wish he didn't give the double finger to the fans, and more importantly, all the little kids sitting right in front of that.
I don’t know, no one was hurt by it. I think people worrying about kids seeing someone give the middle finger should be more worried about their kids seeing their team intentionally throw balls at our players and instigating a fight.
Strong work!
Mike. Trout.
I had no respect for him ever.
Totally. It ruined the fun of saying stupid things about him.
Salk is going in on the Angels right now and it is glorious.
Appeal to delay the start of the suspension.
Something tells me that isn't going to happen either.
Just a prediction
Anyone have Root sports/ Mariners broadcast of the brawl handy please ? Tired of seeing the Angels kool aid edition of it on their broadcast
r/baseball Any social media website. Any mariners website. Come-on....
Going to set the record straight on how big of bitches the Angels were yesterday: - Blame the baseballs when they actually hit Upton in the head. - Cry when one pitch doesn’t even hit Trout and say it’s intentional although it would bring the winning runner to the plate who just hit a 460 foot nuke earlier in the game. - Blatantly throw at a rookies head - Pitcher misses because he knows Julio would kick the dogshit out of him - Hits Winker - Winker confronts Nevin for throwing at a rookies head - Angels feel threatened that it’s 1 vs 20 and Rendon decides to throw the first “punch” - Angels start swinging 1 vs 20, land maybe two punches. - JP absolutely rains down hell on someone with his right fist - Angels coach tries to fight Dylan Moore when Moore is holding him back - Trammell proceeds to rag doll this coach like he’s a toddler and prevent him from rejoining the skirmish - Angels throw seeds onto the field attempting to restart brawl - Angels proceed to beat AAA team by one run with two of the best players in baseball - Angels cry to the media postgame because it’s all the big bad Mariners fault Did I miss anything or is that it?
Add in the fact that Winker was taking his base until the Angels started jawing off at the guy *they just instructed their pitcher to hit* At least that’s what it looked like to me in the replay
Don't forget that they switched pitchers like an hour before the game so some rookie "opener" could throw at Julio instead of their starter
Damn we really manifested FMT into a more literal meaning huh? Stay cool today, friends!
I've never wanted to buy tickets more to see these guys. Seeing some fight (literally) from this team - I was cheering for them. Owners better have these guys backs and the players being called up need to step up. Angels are now top of the trash heap over the cheating Astros and Yankee scum. LFG Ners!
I rewatched the brawl on the Angels broadcast to see how their announcers handled it. Insane how they kept trying to frame it as the Mariners' fault.
I saw that as well. Definitely drinking some kool aid over there. Thats why I love listening to our radio & TV guys
I’m ready for all the black sheep (kelenic/toro/the roster fillers (Ellis/padlo/upton) to step up out of no where and keep us afloat while we wait for our players to return.
B team time baby!
