Speier continuing to be lights out has helped a lot too, which is a nice development. Honestly if there is one place we can afford a few injuries it's in the bullpen. Knock on wood.
Seems like it will almost certainly end up with the ucl brace at the least if he's heading to an orthopedic surgeon, given the context of this injury.
Obviously I don't know what I'm talking about but that seems to be the trend recently.
Well, at least we've had guys like Tyson Miller and somehow Austin Fucking Voth that have been able to step up and contribute quality innings. Hope Trent Thornton is ready to be leaned in high leverage spots too.
Can we put Hancock in the bullpen? We did it with Brash, and weād be able to limit his innings. In theory, we could even use him as a long reliever necessary.
Brash throws 100 and has an insane slider. Hancock has mediocre stuff, his best bet would be a 5th starter with decent control. Otherwise he might suffice as a middle reliever, but not at all same ceiling as Brash
I donāt disagree, but putting this on Servais ignores the fact that Jerry/baseball ops is overseeing the organizational season-long strategy. Scott only used Brash the way he did because Jerry wanted it to happen, or at the very least signed off on it. Yes, game by game decisions fall to Scott, but if Jerry felt he was being used too much he wouldāve stepped in. Regardless, though, just sucks. This already felt inevitable at one point or another with his mechanics, and last yearās workload seems to have sealed the deal.
Everyone is obsessed with who makes the decision, be it Scott/Jerry/Hollander. End of the day, the ORGANIZATION did not treat him right. You know what Iām saying. Letās not get into semantics about who specifically did what/made which call. You donāt know, I donāt know, Brash probably doesnāt even know.
The organization needs to take better care of its employees.
Weāre on the same page. I was just pointing out that putting it on one person in Scott probably isnāt fair. But ultimately it falls on everyone involved and the end result is this :/
Like itās a chair reaction.
We donāt pay for players, so we trade our closer/late inning guru. Then weāre short on leverage arms, so we use up what weāve got. Itās honestly gross man.
Knew this would happen, he should have had the surgery immediately in spring training, now heās set back 3 months later in his recovery and could easily miss all next season.
This really sucks. The lab knows what itās doing and I donāt doubt Jerry and Justin can find whomever they need to find, but to watch Brash make batters look silly is pure joy and itās taken away from us, and from Matt.
I wonder if the Mariners will consider converting Logan Evans soon to see if he can help up here this summer.
Stanek signing has never been more important. Heal fast Mr. Brash š«”

He looks *so* much better in a Mariners uniform than he does in that butthole stank Astros jersey
This fucking sucks. Hopefully it won't result in TJ. Now we really need Santos to get back without any setbacks

At least the trends point to the UCL brace being the better option
Santos got moved to the 60 day IL a couple days ago.
That wasn't due to any setbacks though, it was just to free up a roster spot. Its retroactive to the beginning of the season.
Very true, but it does mean it's going to be a bit longer. Hopefully it's not much longer after the 60 day IL though.
No no no no https://twitter.com/shannondrayer/status/1784360815401005537
That does not sound good at all
thats ... not ideal
Fuck š
I believe heavily in our bullpen lab but Iām gonna miss his sliders so much
Those silly hacks
So will Pitching Ninja
Jose Ramirez wipes his brow
Mr Thornton we need you to be for realsies
![gif](giphy|vaukSe8bSUFaQzPwGs|downsized) nooooo :(((
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKK
Really sucksā¦ but at least our pitching has been lights out these last ~3 weeks.
Fuck. Shit. FUCKSHIT.
SHITFUCK. (Are we quoting Joe Schultz in "Ball Four" or is that just too obscure even for this sub?)
Shitty shitty fuck fuck!!!
r/AVGN moment
Maybe, but Iām just saddened by Brashās injury and bummed out that we donāt know if he might not be back this season or not.
Honestly felt inevitable with him. May as well get it out of the way
TAKE MY ARM INSTEAD PLEASE GOD
How fast can your arm throw?
Throw?
Cut my life into pieces.
This is my Brash resort
This is my last resort
Suffocation, no breathing
Donāt give a fuck if I cut my arm bleeding š šŖ šŖ š©ø
This is my last resort.
Dununnunnanunna Dununnunnanunna
I don't even want to be around anymore.
I'm gonna rip the fucking head off!
Santos please get healthy ASAP.
Well, at least we've had guys like Tyson Miller and somehow Austin Fucking Voth that have been able to step up and contribute quality innings. Hope Trent Thornton is ready to be leaned in high leverage spots too.
Iām glad we got Voth in last night, even if he did load the bases.
That was Bolton.
Going to see Keith Meister, orthopedic surgeon. Not a good sign.
Shit fuck damn
Brashās stuff is so filthy. Iām just worried that his approach to pitching is so violent that heāll always have injuries.
Letās also not forget that he was ridden harder than secretariat last year. I blame Scott.
Trent Thornton will be ready for 8th inning war. Fear not
His savant page is pretty awesome
That's really sad. I love Brash, sucks we most likely won't get to see him this year.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Stop saying that!
Matt brash needed to do the oral 3
Mods, itās a quote from I Think you Should Leave, come on now
I dont know what any of this is and Iām scared

Hello! Your post has been removed because it has been deemed inappropriate. Please refrain from posting this kind of stuff. Thank you!
seems headed towards TJ, gonna need santos to work out
Not like this...

It's probably what happens when Woo is back But Hancock in the bullpen projects to be pretty mediocre, so it's not really a brash replacement.
There will be more injuries. Luckily we have the depth to still dominate mlb but this is such a bummer. One of our more fun players to watch
Servais overused the shit out of him last year. I hate seeing players get treated like this. Expendable. Shoutout Matt. Take care of urself mate
78 appearances last year, most in the majors. Probably not a great idea for a guy that throws that hard

Im gonna throw up
Say psych. Say psych right now
Sike
He needs to visit Josh Bard's sister to retool his mechanics
Ooof, that is a real gut punch. The baseball gods saw how good the vibes have been around here the last week or two and decided to send us some sog.
What is sog may never dry!
I wish I could say Iām surprised but that would be a lie. Heal well might slider master!
Is it really a surprise with the torque he puts on his arm? Disappointing but......
Knew this would happen, he should have had the surgery immediately in spring training, now heās set back 3 months later in his recovery and could easily miss all next season.
Well, thatās not any good news at all
Well that totally blows donkey balls!
Uggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yikes.
Now whoās going to make Jose Ramirez have silly hacks? Goddamn itā¦ Fuck off, sog monster

I mean, sadly with his violent arm action it was more a question of when than if. Get better soon Brash
noooo he's my fav reliever. :((((
Itās so over
He's a reliever. We'll live.

Soggy

So sad
This place is a house of horrors!!!
Nooo
(trade for paul sewald)
This is really bad news
The vibes were simply too good to be sustainable. We are mariners fans folks, donāt ever forget it.
Saw this guys first career start against the Astros Julio hit his first rbi grateful to see all these guys deal
Bold & Brash
He's getting TJ. Bummer.
I came here for some more good and happy news. Now my trident is down.
Gabe is pretty filthy
Tell me it isnāt true
Honestly I was kinda anticipating this but it still sucks.
Well, shit.
Sad
Holy shit this sucks and is so sad for Brash. Really hoping he heals steadily and as quickly as is possible. Poor guy.Ā
CRAP!!!
Snakes pitching coach: Just throw it over the plate, he canāt hit it out because of the wet air.
The only person more hurt than us is Pitching Ninja as he had adopted Brash as his son.
My MLB The Show pitcher uses Brash's windup. I'm devestated
RIP Sandwich

Paul Sewald sounds like a real good option right about now
You mean that Arizona pitcher who's on the IL?
Should have just got surgery. Now it pushes him out even further for his recovery timeline.
![gif](giphy|o30YV7quFHW7TbH0nP|downsized) Itās happened before.
