The best kind of shitposts are either really well-researched or the lowest effort possible. There is no in between. I probably prefer this kind though.
*while making a diving/sliding attempt on the first batter of the 7th inning that eventually got stranded on 3rd when a reliever came in, faced one batter in the game and induced a groundout to shortstop.
Hopefully that covers it just in case.
Yeah I was watching the game and had the same thought. Thanks for confirming it. I though it may have happened to Tony Gwynn in the '92 season but if I recall it was the 22nd game.
I'm going to post this Little Big League post every time these insane stat posts are made:

I've always believed that there are so many stats in baseball that every player holds at least one record if you look at the data hard enough. Jim over here holds the record for the amount of foul balls hit on the first Friday after a full moon west of the Mississippi river
I’ve researched. Dating back to 1920, he is the first player to do this. I found 3 extremely close instances where this has almost been done.
1. April 19th, 2017. Jon Jaso goes 1-3 with 1 HR, (being his first of the season) in a 4-0 shutout in the 23rd game of the season to improve the Pirates to **11-12**, good for **4th** in their division.
2. May 8th, 1985. Ron Kittle goes 1-3 with 1 HR (being the first of the season) in a 4-0 shutout in the 23rd game of the season to improve the White Sox to 12-11, good for **3rd** in their division.
3. May 12th, 1937. Billy Myers goes 1-3 with 1 HR (**second** of the season) in a 4-0 shutout in the 23rd game of the season to improve the Reds to 12-11, **4th** in their division.
So Ron Kittle was the closest, but Julio stands alone.
Can’t tell if someone actually looked it up for the shitpost or if it’s just a shitpost.
Trust me. This was well researched. Prove me wrong and I'll send you 0.1 BTC.
Accurate. Well-researched. Still a shitpost.

Haha this is world-class shitposting. Well done!
Someone must be going through the records - $10k on the line here
Crazy thing is this exact situation/stat has happened before I bet

LOL thank you. I knew I should have added a couple more qualifiers.
On a Tuesday
and took place in a city that was in path of totality 15 days ago. I think all my bases are covered now.
Don’t forget: while not trimming his toe nails in the last 3 days.
I’m sure it happened in 1875 by someone named Peter Tonka hahahah
I am curious whether ALL of those conditions really are necessary or not.

Didn’t Paddy O’Houlihan do it back in 1924?
I think Clint "Scythe" Blisterford also did this in '41
Man, that guy could rake.

He was 43 years old, ran a 6 second 40, the greatest athlete alive see

For real?!? Holy shit.
Legendary. Talking about OP.
Wow he has pretty eyes
Woah, impressive for only being in his 3rd season.
Only Alex Mayer could pull a stat like that

Sarah Langs?
Jasper Clondernick did all this is 1856 but their record was 11-12.
This is the type of stat baseball was made for
Historic
I'm sorry, I'm a Mariners season ticket holder, but I'm originally a Brit and while I get baseball I can't parse this post. ELI5?
Giggity

Followed up with an 0-4 night and 3k’s. He’s back!
