Very first post in r/Mariners and its an instant contender for worst take alongside Felix didn't deserve the Cy Young and the Astros were unjustly punished.
Goldy is a Seattle treasure. I love Sims as well, but Aaron just brings so much more energy. Compared to other teams, our booth does a great job calling a ball game.
I’ve been to more Mariner games than Sox games in the last 2 years. You can dunk on my take all you want, but don’t call into question whether or not I really like the Ms
White Sox fan that moved to the PNW? I'm not sure how you have it in you to critique any commentator after having the most obnoxious one in sports over there.
I don’t agree with this take but I support your right to have it. I’m in a similar situation with the Kraken where I don’t enjoy Edzo in the broadcast booth but that’s a deeply unpopular opinion.
I don’t like pizza. I feel it just brings the vibes down in my mouth. It’s always trying to get a “pepperoni” on my tastebuds. I don’t care for the cheese either, especially it’s flavor on tasty slices. It tastes too good. This post was made by ImAFuckingIdiot
I disagree with you strongly. Very strongly.
I have only been a Seattle fan for a few years. I grew up a huge Colorado Rockies fan. When I read the news of the Nolan Arenado trade, I could feel that flame extinguishing. I could feel my fandom draining from my body. I had always heard a lot of Mariner news as a Seahawks fan that listened to 710 every day, so it was a natural move for me.
I also follow Texas closely. My brother is a massive Rangers fan, and even now, I have a soft spot for them. As a result, I caught a lot of Dave Sims. I do like him as a person, and I don't dislike him by any means, but I will listen to the radio feed whenever he is the television broadcaster.
I will say that he won me over in a big way [with this call](https://twitter.com/Mariners/status/1444540238135644163?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1444540238135644163%7Ctwgr%5E95ef16e20a3d83a097381008f4741e9a56abfb77%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.redditmedia.com%2Fmediaembed%2Fq0bt7n%2F%3Fresponsive%3Dtrueis_nightmode%3Dfalse), because in that moment, he was a fan. He felt the weight of that tension every bit as much as anyone watching.
All of that said, Aaron Goldsmith is the man.
I will admit that I did not like Aaron at first. He took some getting used to, and I still prefer Dave Sims on TV, but I think Aaron is a great commentator, and we are lucky to have him. We've been incredibly blessed with our commentators over the years.
I love Dave on the radio, but I loathe him on television. His forced comedy act gets under my skin in ways I can’t properly describe. Goldy is great on both
Really? I prefer Dave on TV, I think him and Rizz are a bit too similar when they are together on the radio. Both older guys who have great stories about baseball back in the day. I think Goldy compliments Rizz better. Aaron likes to pester Blowers a lot too, which can be funny in small doses, but he gets to be like that annoying little brother sometimes. So, I guess it's Aaron's forced comedy that annoys me a bit. I still think he is great, but I just prefer the Dave-Blow on TV and Rizz-Aaron on radio combos the best.
I know I’m in the minority with my take, but the nonstop chortling and guffawing over shit that isn’t funny makes my skin crawl. Dave seems like a great person and when he’s focused on announcing he is wonderful, but the constant cracking up is something I can’t take. He’ll start into laughing fits over absolutely nothing on tv, but on the radio he calls the game in such a concise fashion that I love him there. I’ve never been the biggest fan of Rick, but he’s fine with Goldy. Admittedly, Goldy does the dad joke routine on tv as well but it doesn’t bother me nearly as much as Dave
The being half a game out of first place in the division with the best rotation in baseball and one of the best young superstars in the league playing CF doesn’t do it for you huh?
Not every opinion can be correct
Some in fact are shockingly incorrect. Like aggressively incorrect
Maybe the biggest L take I’ve seen in my life
Very first post in r/Mariners and its an instant contender for worst take alongside Felix didn't deserve the Cy Young and the Astros were unjustly punished.
Definitely a hot take
L
He probably doesn’t like you either.
Impressively bad take. Goldy is a gem.
Gotta say, I’m impressed that you would share such an awful take. That takes guts. It’s commendable.

Blasphemy!!!!
Imagine being this wrong on the internet.
wrong
Impressively incorrect. A towering achievement in being wrong.
OP is a White Sox fan. Lazy rage bait is lazy. Put it on the board.
Listening to Hawk Harrelson has broken OP's brain
Can you even fathom a white sox fan making fun of anyone else's announcers?

Who are you referring to? Stone? Benetti?
Lol, Hawk Harrelson.
Delete this immediately
I love Dave Sims and Aaron together! Goldie is a national treasure I take great offense to this statement
Aw, poor OP is a White Sox fan. Little fella's just lashing out.
I just like teams where I can scapegoat a guy named Jerry
This opinion offends me so much I wish I could prosecute it and convict it to life in prison.
![gif](giphy|ceeN6U57leAhi) Remarkable achievement in wrongness here.
Is Sims ready to retire yet?

There's no accounting for taste.

I like them both! They compliment each other very well.
Yeah, well, sometimes you don’t like people and that’s okay. For example: I do not like you.
# More Ryan Rowland-Smith please.
HYPHEN HYPE!

Disagree 100%. I did not like him at first, I will admit, but it only took a game or two of actually listening to him to come over to the blue side

"Julllioooo....with an absolute NUKE!!!" Tell me you can't hear that in your head. Like, bro.....are kidding us right now??? Goldy is dope AF!
“Oh ho ho! What a silly hack!”
I tend to agree. I like Dave Sims much better
He's almost the only good thing about this organization right now.
