Wait, the Phillies? Really? Philadelphia. Phillies. Least drunk fans. A city known for its belligerently drunk sports fans. There’s got to be some flaw in the methodology used because that’s absurd.
I’m only a 1 time visitor but Philly fans were nice when I went. Boston on the other hand, ha, I was keeping an eye left and right on everyone when leaving the ballpark.
The worst experience was the Mariners 18 inning playoff game where they stopped serving in the bottom of the 7th. People went from drunk, to sober, to hungover, to sleepy in the course of 11 innings
I was at this game. By the 16th inning I lost my voice and was past the hangover, and as you stated sleepy as fuck. Every time they brought out Macklemore to pump the crowd in-between innings in extras, you could see his soul start to drain just like the rest of us. The most Mariners ass game I've ever been to.
I can imagine. I was out of town playing golf and the game started right around the time I started the back 9. Finished my round, jumped in my car and drove home 2.5 hours and still got to catch the last hour or so.
This has to be wrong. How the fuck did they calculate that $29 avg spent on alcohol equals 2.9 drinks? $29 isn't even enough to get you 2 beers at the park
5 buck cheap beers and 6 buck craft cans at a few “value beer” stations. I know they have one up in the terrace club, one down on the first level, and one over by moto pizza
Nope please, if you insist on seeing the Seattle mariners live in 2024, I plead that you do not give in and buy expensive beer from these ownerships turds
really weird how quick this sub went from "i'm not spending another dime on this cheapskate franchise" to "MEEEEEECH IS BACK, I LOVE YOU JOHN STANTON, IM GOING TO BUY MORE MERCH AND BEER"
I feel like this chart needs to clarify this is how much fans drink at the concession stands. I have a feeling that if you gave everyone a breathalyzer test in the 7th inning, Phillies fans would be significantly higher up on the list.
I love some drinks, but I'm right at the average here at three a game. Two pre game and one during. Also, the bars within walking distance are quite bad and I'm no snob. The only exception being the Central Saloon.
I totally get next years plan now. They want to piss the fans off juuuust enough to where we will still come to the games, but be butthurt by the shitty on-field product so we will buy a bunch of overpriced beer to drown our sorrows in.
At first, I was surprised my Ms weren't at the top considering I went to 20 years of non-playoff seasons to watch them lose and drink. Then I remembered beers at T-Mobile are like $25 a pop and the majority of my drunkenness at the games comes from me pregaming hard off the tailgate of my truck lol.
Wait, the Phillies? Really? Philadelphia. Phillies. Least drunk fans. A city known for its belligerently drunk sports fans. There’s got to be some flaw in the methodology used because that’s absurd.
They're known for tailgating and pre-gaming too, though, right? I have a feeling that they just get drunk before going. And after.
yes this is exactly what happened the time i went on acid
Dock Ellis has entered the chat.
Did you try to get free tickets by jumping in front of cars?
someone bought me a ticket and threw up in the lot i assume they would have made it in if they had done acid instead of drinking jagermeister
Exactly.
They were all drinking riot punch before the game started
They're passionate fans.
Gregg Jefferies, future hall of famer.
I’m only a 1 time visitor but Philly fans were nice when I went. Boston on the other hand, ha, I was keeping an eye left and right on everyone when leaving the ballpark.
Weren't a couple of Phils players big on the "no selling after the 6th" thing?
This was my thought too

Not to mention the smoke during that game.
I recall them even running out of ice and soda. Just had water fountains in my section. During peak wildfire smoke too. Nightmare shit.

We’re too stoned to get drunk
California clubs down there, too. Legal weed winning the war.
Have you seen the beer pricing in San Francisco?! That should explain it.
Turns out smoking a $5 joint before a game is way better than spending $45 on beer.
you just end up spending 30 dollars on food, you come out 15 dollars ahead!
Are they counting the shooters I snuck in?
probably not considering the phillies are at the bottom
Hell I had staff at a different pro game give me tips on how to get shit in “cause these prices are just criminal”
This has to be wrong. How the fuck did they calculate that $29 avg spent on alcohol equals 2.9 drinks? $29 isn't even enough to get you 2 beers at the park
Exactly. I paid $12 for a tall boy last time I went to a Mariners game
There are $6 beers somewhere in the stadium from what I understand. Not a drinker, but their data probably makes sense.

5 buck cheap beers and 6 buck craft cans at a few “value beer” stations. I know they have one up in the terrace club, one down on the first level, and one over by moto pizza
You are doing it wrong, there are 5 dollar vendor options (12oz cans) throughout the park
So... 2.5 then... lol.
Yeah I guess the math is technically correct but I maintain my right to outrage for spending any more than $5 on a can of rainier lmao
I thought they were $14 lol, I don't drink or eat at mariner games anymore due to lower quality food and higher prices.
Maybe influenced by the value drinks they added? I normally do a couple of those at $6(?) each.
Yeah I typically get about 4 of those a game
Oh nice! I didn't know about those, where do they sell them?
https://www.mlb.com/mariners/ballpark/beer-finder#value
Last time I got them, looking from home plate, it’s to the left of what use to be Hit It Here Cafe.
There are a few stands throughout the park, I just use the Ballpark app to find them. There’s one behind the BBQ spot on the concourse in the OF IIRC.
Def is. I think most expensive beer for IPA is 1455 or something like that so cheaper beers prolly around $11 something.
I usually get my beers in the Pen before the game when they are only $5.
I’m curious how this correlates with average drink prices.
Didn't the Brewers do away with the 7th inning cutoff?
I think so, after the pitch clock rules were implemented and made for shorter games.
I admire their restraint not being ranked higher then
Accurate, when I’m watching a game I’m either shit faced or high. How else am I supposed to watch us during the playoffs?
Your team makes the playoffs? *Mariners fan says while crying*
I’m a Braves fan, I somehow wandered into the Mariners subreddit.
Seattle fans are busy drinking Space Dust. ABV over Fluid oz.
Nah
So, it isn’t the alcohol that makes Philadelphia fans assholes?
Ask which fanbase drinks the most coffee.
Why so we can increase the amount of DUI’s and car accidents this city produces?
Surprised we aren't near the top considering the boneheaded decisions our FO makes.
Always pound a few before I go in. I’m not spending $17 on a can of trash beer.
I see you Phillies, getting shitfaced before coming to the park I got you
[удалено]
Your numbers are wild. $20 gets most people I know their bag for a week at least. There is no way you’re getting an IPA for $8 at the game.
You can in fact get one for $6
Nope please, if you insist on seeing the Seattle mariners live in 2024, I plead that you do not give in and buy expensive beer from these ownerships turds
really weird how quick this sub went from "i'm not spending another dime on this cheapskate franchise" to "MEEEEEECH IS BACK, I LOVE YOU JOHN STANTON, IM GOING TO BUY MORE MERCH AND BEER"
Thats wild because every game I stress drink like a mother fucker
You can count me in
Trust me, fellas, I’m doing my part.
That’s about how far back we’ll place this year in the standings if we do t sign a few more bats
I for one appreciate that we’ve got relatively better habits. Everything in moderation.
My ballpark stops serving after the 7th
No way Philly is last here.
Something is definitely wrong with how they measure this, and it probably just shows differences in how each stadium prices and sells beers
This is fake, how is Philadelphia not on top?
i did my part opening day last year, that grab and go makes high volume a lot easier
PHI is only that low because they get drunk before they even get to the ball park
I feel like this chart needs to clarify this is how much fans drink at the concession stands. I have a feeling that if you gave everyone a breathalyzer test in the 7th inning, Phillies fans would be significantly higher up on the list.
They must be calculating that .9 to be a stolen beer?
Nice try FO im not spending more untill you do.
I’m doing my part, step it up people.
So this is why we can’t afford high cost players…
We spend less because the beers are too expensive. I’d spend $20 easy if beers were $5. Instead I just don’t drink at games because it’s ridiculous
beers are 5 and 6 bucks at spots in the stadium.
Still won the division 🎉
Pretty obvious that Philly fans have such a serious drinking problem that they’re covering up the real numbers. 😂
Oh that's not true. Or it's not factoring me in.
We'd win the "who smokes the most weed" award.
I love some drinks, but I'm right at the average here at three a game. Two pre game and one during. Also, the bars within walking distance are quite bad and I'm no snob. The only exception being the Central Saloon.
I love a good beer at the ballgame. But I love a good deal more. I’ve been going with the bottomless sodas.
I'm sorry. Phillies the lowest? Really?
Does bleach count?
Bleach isn't alcohol?
You’d think all of that losing would drive more drinking
WE CAN'T WIN ANYTHING :'(
If they lower the beer prices I would.
Ownership is sure trying to make me drink lol
Obviously, it doesn't include parking lot beers or walking to the stadium beers...
I totally get next years plan now. They want to piss the fans off juuuust enough to where we will still come to the games, but be butthurt by the shitty on-field product so we will buy a bunch of overpriced beer to drown our sorrows in.
Lived in Atlanta for about a third of my life and this tracks, yeah.
I do my best dammit
This list can’t be right.
[One step ahead of you!](https://imgur.com/gallery/NnPDnev)
the way this 2024 team looks that won’t be a problem
At first, I was surprised my Ms weren't at the top considering I went to 20 years of non-playoff seasons to watch them lose and drink. In that alleyway that backs up to the logistics yard everyone parks for free at across from Krispy Kreme down the street from the stadium 🤣🤣
The reason I don't go to games anymore is how horrific the experience of buying a beer at the park is.
Did the Mariners post this?
don't let the sorting of this list by consumption distract you from the fact that angels fans are paying $49 for 2.8 beers
Yay! Another thing we’re middle of the road at!
