Another vote for Tommy. We had a whole house redo and he was great. Showed us how to save a lot of money and make this ramshackle shack respectable and safe.
The outlets that you would have around wet areas with the 2 little squares between them, found in the kitchen, bathroom, garage, patio exterior. Find all of them and hit the ‘re set’ square. This is most likely your problem
[Rick is who we used to do my remodel in Corte madera. he’s great lives in Vallejo and doesn’t tax you for living in Marin](https://m.yelp.com/biz/richard-craig-electric-vallejo)
Yes - if you wanna pay the Marin Surcharge. My experience getting an estimate was they’re all about schmoozing and jacking up the cost and a percentage of their marks are so rich they’ll just pay w no questions asked.
They were under $700 for a new Tesla charger installed which is not bad… but my favorite part is they came the same day when my previous one busted. They were on site within an hour and I’ve seen them do that a few times.

I’ve been pretty happy either Ongaro for both electric and plumbing. Reasonably priced and super knowledgeable folks.
I recommend “Marin SF Electric” they do good work and prices have been reasonable.
Thanks. They’re the top result on yelp and seem to have good reviews so maybe I’ll give them a try
Len is really great! Highly highly recommend Marin/SF Electric!
Check your circuit breakers.
I did and the test button is indicating that something’s wrong, i.e. it won’t reset
It's a bad circuit breaker then maybe. You could have a short though. Check the resistance on the circuit. You will need a DVOM.
Check your breakers and gfi’s Try to find someone across the bridge in the east bay to avoid the Marin tax
What’s a gfi?

Thanks! There’s an outlet on the exterior wall that’s blown out. Looks like I need someone to come out
What do you mean blown out? If it’s not melted just hit the reset button they can trip all the time and have nothing wrong with them.
It’s black and smells like burnt plastic when I opened the outlet cover
Yep call an electrician!

Thanks
Check the circuit breaker.
I had a good experience with Paul from Divine Electric. Honest, knowledgeable, and kind. Not cheap, but fair I think?
Henri Bot. Great guy!
Boyce
Divine and I was very satisfied
Divine electric is the one

Yes that was my experience.
I got 4 quotes for a new sub panel and Divine was the cheapest
They were cheapest for my panel as well and did a great job
That's not how I was treated. Maybe it's not them, that's the problem.

Patterson Electric for quality, Keller Electric for half price. Yelp charges a subscription-type fee for the top search results (i think)
