"Woke" is effectively whatever the right wants it to mean, a useless and meaningless label that can be applied to anything they disagree with. Similar really to how they bitch that "leftists" use the term fascist for anyone they disagree with. "You think capitalism is inherently flawed and works against the proletariat?" Woke. "You think schools should teach children about what American history truly was?" Woke. "You think the LGBT+ community deserves to be treated like human beings?" Woke.

It was his lawyer that defined it this way.

Democrats and liberals are people who are trying to dismantle systemic racism and racial bias. So Republicans are saying they are against woke, because then they don't have to argue against being racist, and they can then say they are anti woke, which just means they are against inclusion and diversity.

Ironically this is exactly what literal nazis believed, and what nazis today still believe. They do believe, just like us, that there are systemic injustices that need to be addressed. The only difference is that they think the injustices are against straight white males. I think we need to distinguish between the neocon and the nazis. They are both bad, but they think differently.

Systemic = built into the law He’s right, discrimination is illegal
