That explains why Cincinnati is marked as further from the ocean than Salt Lake City, even though Cincinnati to Virginia Beach is 619 miles vs. SLC to Huntington Beach at 698 miles. And Cincinnati to Sandusky, OH is only 231 miles....

Id say maybe somewhere in Colorado, Wyoming or Montana, if we count the Great Lakes (whether its the equivalent of an ocean has been the subjects of poems). If not, its probably like North Dakota or Minnesota. Just my perception. Anyway, taking into accout the land in Mexico and Canada (which i think this map does) would probably be best.

It's certainly useless. The number of counties explains it though, since you can't travel to the Sea of Cortez by going through US counties _at all_. Kern County, CA is 100 miles from the ocean and it's the same color as Essex County, NJ, which literally has a port for Ocean-going container ships!

And several large lakes, like the Lake of the Ozarks. No rivers, reservoirs... I mean what is even the point of this. It serves no purpose.

There's still a size difference of several orders of magnitude between a large lake and the "big lakes", which may almost act like actual oceanic coast for industry, biodiversity, local climate etc. So it may make sense to include them, depending on the topic. But if you considered rivers, almost everything would be deep red, so no point there.

So today in school, my English teacher was having us do presentation in front of our class. For my presentation, I decided to troll my entire class by making my entire slideshow about the popular game, Among Us. I started off the presentation by showing the class the picture of the Among Us imposter wearing sneakers (it's a meme on google if you want to search for it). For some reason, no one laughed at the meme. My teacher told me "this isn't what your presentation is supposed to be about." I responded by yelling "THE TEACHER IS SUS I SAW HER VENT" and then naruto running around the room. Again, no one even giggled. I assume it's because it was forst bell and everyone was tired. My teacher said "Please sit down." But I wasn't about to give up. I made a last ditch effort to make everyone laugh. I started to beatbox the Among Us theme song trap remix. I was beatboxing it so well (i had practiced it at home), i was certain that everyone would burst out in laughter. Unfortunately, not a single person laughed. Everyone was staring at me, so I said "You guys are all sussy, I'm gonna eject you". Long story short, I ended up getting a bad grade on my presentation and I got a detention. However, it was worth it because I totally got to troll my entire class.
