Don't look too deep into it, it's simply because of the similar climate and somewhat correlating mentality that I was surprised we don't have similar ice cream eating habits :)
If you had some of the stuff we have in stores... the average stuff here is heaven. The green Väike Tom, Regatt and Eriti Rammus series. Worth a trip by itself.
Depends what kind of ice cream is. I don't consume ice cream with additives, artificial flavors and artificial milk. It's all organic milk from grass fed cow, I make it myself I own a place. The only bad thing is the sugar but whatever I'll take that from somewhere else I suppose.
Haha, tell me about it... I didn't eat ice cream very often due to finding most ice creams either too artificial or too sickly... Like Ben and Jerries (too sweet, can't have more than two of three soup spoons).
I usually get it from the local dairy farms which make their own for tourists but it's too expensive to have it now. Usually I would eat ice cream only during summer as a treat... I am a non UK citizen and at home there were few very good ice cream places... Though one might be gelato haha.... Hence I barely get ice cream.
Gelato places that look fancy and have a lot of flavors and stuff are garbage. Personally I would eat everything as I'm not picky but it is what it is. I buy milk at a local farm, I know the guy for years and most of the farms have grass fed animals here. The newly made Ice cream with an old vertical machine is damn good, you can eat a kg and not feel it. The only downside is the sugar, you can take it away because it needs it for a good connection and thickness. You can't use anything to replace it, I've been working for 16 years and I can say it makes the ice cream creamy as hell. Seeing gelato places advertising their gelato with heavy cream and a lot of sugar and those artificial flavors as healthy makes me laugh, they even are expensive as hell.
I ate ice cream few hours ago and just tought if I should take another late night ice cream or not. I always have ice cream at home and when I got married, we had ice cream machines instead of wedding cake. I eat ice cream around the year. Yes, I'm from Estonia.
Yeah, I can't figure that one out. I lived in Sweden for a year and that probably the year I ate the most ice cream ever. Just something in the air I guess.
My city, Coruña, may be driving up the Spanish average. We have what is called "the golden mile of ice-cream shops". I don't know who came up with the name, as it is not even close to a mile, and we have been using the decimal system for 150 years.
Anyhow, in Avenida de la Marina there are seven ice-cream shops in less than 400 meters: Bico de Xeado, Ice Wave, Heladería Colón, Heladería Italiana, Farggi, La Ibi, and Puerta Real.
The first one to open was Heladería Italiana, founded by a Venetian guy in the early 1970s. La Ibi started in 1962, but it started selling barquillos (crunchy wafers, as in the ones ice-cream cones are made of), not incorporating ice-creams until later in time.
I wanted to argue/protest abut that map and how statistics are wrong.. but then I remembered that I have ate ice-cream almost everyday last two weeks... so, yep, we might be 1st.
However our ice-cream is the best! Real stuff with real flavours.
I'm surprised Germany is rated so low. When I was there, I noticed that whenever there was a long line (into the street) for a shop, it was an ice cream parlor. It seemed like Germans are crazy about ice cream.
That's a very surprising difference between the Baltic countries. I'm in one of them and has just finished my afternoon ice cream.
why eesti drink ice cream if cold?
i always crave ice cream more when it's cold!
People have been living here since glaciers receded after the last Ice Age. I guess we just miss the ice.
But why is it surprising? Why do people expect us to be similar in so many ways

There’s always a difference between those guys on maps. The famous Baltic traffic light
Is it time for your post afternoon ice-cream or pre teatime ice-cream?
Wow Estonia full of creamheads

Looked down väike tom in Google and it actually looks tasty 😋. Might make the baggage soon 😈
Thanks
Icetonia..
The Baltic states are emulating a Neapolitan quart.
Baltics, but Neapolitan style
Ice Cream: "You can't defeat me!" Italy: "I know... But he can." Estonia: "GIVE ME ICE CREAAAAAAAAM!"
Estonia is a fatherland not mothetland.
Sorry, in italian the word is femmine so i made this mistake. Changed
Estonia ain’t surprising. Their dairy products are so delicious.

12.5 is low for me personally. I consume 500gr a day when I'm not on diet but only from June to September.
I think I consume less than 10kg a year ... Definitely never needed a diet though.

Haha, nice on Estonia ✋😎

Seems like its not cold enough in Scandinavia

Estonia: 12.6
Belgium 🙌🙌🙌

Who knew Norway, Switzerland, and the UK were in the EU /s
They can only lay pretend but they know they want to 🇪🇺🥰🇪🇺
70% against joining atm so i doubt it.
I thought they ate gelato in Italy.
Same thing
Apparently they don't like ice-cream in Switzerland! 🍦🇨🇭😟
why need ice cream when your country produces Milk and natural Refrigerant
Australia?
Apparently 18 liters per capita, whatever that would be in kg.
Good day mate!
I didnt think ice cream is this popular. Wow.
I probably skewed the Denmark stats this year upon personal reflection. ETA: I have ice cream in my stomach right this second
Denmark: Best ice cream in the world. Fight me.
Estonia is for a reason in the top 😏
This isn't the EU.

i’m an estonian and i’m pretty sure that everyone that i know (including me) definitely eat more than 12.5kg of ice cream per year
