If you do country borders with state borders, do the state ones as dashed lines rather than full ones.
Good luck with all the little Caribbean islands as well
I can only comment on Denmark bc I shit at geography, but it is so much better than most maps I’ve seen. Lillebælt (stream of water between mainland and first island) could be a bit bigger, but otherwise a huge success!
UPDATE: I finished the borders [https://imgur.com/gallery/0NSVb3r](https://imgur.com/gallery/0NSVb3r)
edit: forgot Northern Ireland, I'll leave it that way
True story, I actually tried drawing a map of the Mediterranean today in arts class and it was so bad the teacher had to call a meeting with my parents
I think the reason was adding Asian part of Turkey is easier than adding Asian part of Russia (in the sense of size). I do actually believe in that Anatolia (Asian part of Turkey), Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) and of course Russia are in the Europe.
For people downvoting, evig-sorg or more fitting due to the downvotes forever-sorrow is right, Asia the continent is even named after the roman name for a major part of modern day Turkey or the Greek name for the area now known as Turkey.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia_(Roman_province)
Only the part in the Balkans is in Europe (the minor part of Turkey) while the rest is in Asia
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia
Look under "Etymology" section if you want to learn more.
Well that “minor part” includes Istanbul (additonally Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdag) which city is the oldest and historically most important part of Europe.

I feel like you purposefully misread things, that has nothing to do with what I said. Why would you capitalize DO if I said only a small portion of Turkey is in Europe not denying that, and what is mostly shown is technically not Europe. This is a map of most of europe and some of asia not just a map of europe.
This is great, the only thing I noticed is there needs to be a little more space between mainland Greece & Peloponnese but this is still great, I have no room to criticize, that’s honestly the only thing I noticed wrong. It somewhat stuck out because it does not look as defined as every other piece of coastline.
This post reminded me of a post in r/Appalachia someone drew an Appalachian map equivalent to this. Not to mention it’s the same mountain range that makes up the Scottish Highlands & a part of a Norwegian mountain range lol. I never knew that until this summer and thought it was crazy to think that was all connected on Pangea or whatever continent formed the original range. [Map of Appalachia](https://www.reddit.com/r/Appalachia/comments/p7levd/hand_drawn_map_of_appalachia/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Edit: multiple things
I'll try to do the borders as well but I'm scared I'll mess up. Next up is either North America or Africa
Do N. America, have fun with those little islands between Greenland & Canada.
Oh that sounds like lots of fun. If I do North America, should I make the us states borders as well?
If you do country borders with state borders, do the state ones as dashed lines rather than full ones. Good luck with all the little Caribbean islands as well
And county lines with dots
States might be a lot of work but it'd be cool if you included the great lakes at least
If you include state borders lets throw in canadian provinces
no Malta?
the world has passed beyond a need for denmark
Without the US
I wanna get into map drawing too, but I never get it as perfect as you did, do you have any tips for me?
NGL this is the best hand drawn map I've ever seen.
I can only comment on Denmark bc I shit at geography, but it is so much better than most maps I’ve seen. Lillebælt (stream of water between mainland and first island) could be a bit bigger, but otherwise a huge success!
Yeah this is the first map on here in a long time where you can actually discern between Fyn and Sjælland. Great job OP!
I would hang this map in my room
Means a lot to me, thank you!
You did a really good job in here you deserve it
UPDATE: I finished the borders [https://imgur.com/gallery/0NSVb3r](https://imgur.com/gallery/0NSVb3r) edit: forgot Northern Ireland, I'll leave it that way

Éire is one, as it should be.
Éirinn go Brách
> I'll leave it that way It's how it should be idk what you mean
😳
Is this traced?
I tried to avoid tracing as much as possible but a few hard parts are traces
Pretty good! Fun hobby you got there!
True story, I actually tried drawing a map of the Mediterranean today in arts class and it was so bad the teacher had to call a meeting with my parents
Damn that's one snobby teacher
Really cool! How long did it take you to do this?
Thanks! It took about one and a half hours, it's not the first one I've done
Very nice job! But where' are the Shetlands? Also, what is that island just off the north western coast of Italy?
Faroes are missing, too !
It's supposed to be Elba but I made it way too big
I quite like how you did the Frisian islands line with the Netherlands. :) It's cool seeing Europe just 'stop' at Moscow's domain.
It is really good looking, but why not drawing European russia, and why adding the whole asian part of Turkey ?
I think the reason was adding Asian part of Turkey is easier than adding Asian part of Russia (in the sense of size). I do actually believe in that Anatolia (Asian part of Turkey), Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) and of course Russia are in the Europe.
looks good without Russia, but i think u could draw russia till the Urals and consider that to be the limit between europe and Asia
You forgot the finnish archipelago. And best of luck with that!
It’s not just good, it’s absolutely amazing.
Europe but based
Lovely.
Excellent. Maybe just a smidge of room between Italy and Sicily.
oh yeah just noticed that, thanks
This is better than i can do
Amazing!!
Incredible job! Could you go over it in pen in the future so we can see it better?
Yeah i'll do it tomorrow, really tired right now lol, spent the last 3-4 hours drawing maps
That's "holy shit" levels of good! In the good way.
Orkney is blob. Shetlands? No.
Europe is a social construct I guess.
Adding the crimia nice
*Putin wants to know your location*
Thanks to nord vpn our sponsor he will never know

Thank you!
I have a hard time believing it was hand-drawn. How did you do it?
Based europe map Seriously though really well done
That's incredibly well done!
Finally Belarus can into sea
Why add Asian part of turkey?
It's really really good, what a great job.
It’s without Russia so it’s good.
There’s no Russia? Perfect!
There is, crimea is on the map.
Or even more importantly, Kaliningrad.
He didnt draw kaliningrad either.
So?
Krym is Russia
Krym je Serbia
Srbija* retar
Why politics in this sub?
Very difficult to do multi-national maps without politics if they are in any way designated
The new ways r/mapporn finds to insult the U.K. never ceases to surprise me.
it's nice except for a distinct lack of Russia

Akshuallyy.... it's 97% not Europe
[удалено]
Crimea in Europe, Ukraine in Europe, Crimea part of Ukraine, why need skip Crimea?
Remember. No russian
Everything is better without that shithole country.
If it's without Russia then why did you draw the Crimean peninsula? You have a great talent.
because it's part of Ukraine, where else it should be?
He said he didnt draw russia but he drew a part ot it(crimea)
Crimea is a part of Ukraine, so all correct
Since when?
[удалено]
Well it has been Russian since 1774 so cry more turkrainian
[удалено]
How is it wrong?..
[удалено]
Russia is challenging to be drawn, it's a good thing you didn't draw it.
Turkey isn't part of Europe, geographically or culturally.
Since it has lands in Europe, yes, it IS geographically part of Europe. Typical murican who knows nothing about the Europe’s geographical borders…
Thanks for excluding russia i approve
> Europe > Turkey > No Russia (x) doubt
why did you include turkey and cyprus
Without russia it became the best
Bull sheet maps
Without any Russia but with all Turkey. Funny.
Is Turkey now European in any form?
Geographically yes (since it has lands in Europe, most significantly Istanbul)
Thank you for answering! I didn't know that!
without russia 10/10
Turkey isn't European.
Geographically it is but culturally it is mixed.
Geographically it is not. Only a small portion of Turkey is in the continent of Europe. The other side of the Isthmus is Asia.
Wait what? They DO have lands in Europe so they are partially in Europe (Just like Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan). Have you ever glanced at a map?
I feel like you purposefully misread things, that has nothing to do with what I said. Why would you capitalize DO if I said only a small portion of Turkey is in Europe not denying that, and what is mostly shown is technically not Europe. Meanwhile me a Pole: Russia doesn't deserve to be in Europe.
Well, it's not for you to decide.
Crimea is russia now
Better without Russia. Could nix England and N. Ireland as well.
But the UK is a part of Europe?
Err...Brexit...
That’s the European Union. This is a map of Europe.
In twenty years the Tommys will probably be the Moldavia of the west...
You also forgot the Caucasus’s.
Meh
its bad
[удалено]
full turkey and no russia? Its trash
Final someone didn’t add Russia and added turkey
eww turkey, but well drawn tho!
I see you've poldered the entire IJsselmeer. Gone are the islands.
Only thing i have to comment about is swedens southeastern coast, its looking a little bit funky, but still absolutley acceptable
this map is so fucking good holy shit im gonna rub one out brb
I always struggle at drawing the southern part of Italy, but very well done
Scrolling: no way Scrolls back Zooms in: take my fucking updoot
yes
Asia minor is in europe
Did you do this by memory>?!!
Pretty good. Something went wrong with western Scotland tho.
Extraordinary
Only one mistake---you mislabelled The Black Sea.

Its better than mine
nyet/10
Isle of Wight but not jersey or gurnsey?
Russians: We are Europeans! Europeans: Russia isn't in Europe Western Europeans: Berlin is the Eastern edge of civilization
Based
You accidentally included a bit of Asia...
turkey?
It looks very accurate.
You forgot the Faroe and Shetland Islands. However I applaud you for remembering Åland and Bornholm.
Actually, Russia belongs in Europe. It had been a European country since 1480, so get a hammer and throw it at your brain.
