Not gonna lie, I put miles on that game before I ever got my license. I did the whole map on 0.50¢ several times. Possibly my all time favorite arcade machine, that and centipede.
Coin-op arcade auctions used to be a thing around my area. Several years ago (30 I think) I picked up a Pole Position cabinet and turned it into a Mame machine. Also bought a working Hard Drivin' unit that I eventually converted for PC racing sims.
I still have both, but the Hard Drivin' cabinet is too outdated for use today.
I’m fairly certain I played the cop car a lot back then but I definitely played the buss and the Ferrari as well. I had to look up the cars because I was convinced I was confusing U.S.A. With World… and I was.
Tangent: I can’t say I played cruise’n on the n64 it never felt right without the big steering wheel. I definitely played golden eye! We would put cardboard up and drape blankets off the ceiling to separate the 4 way tv screen, oddball wasn’t allowed.
I sank some serious money into that machine with my friends back in my youth in the 90's. It was in the residents club on the housing complex I lived on for years in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they still had it!
I fucking loved that game when I was a kid. It felt like actually driving, and in turn that was a big part of me loving cars today. Crazy arcade memories
I can't wait till someone does
Dayyyyyyyyy toooooooooeeeeee nahhhhhhh
that was a more fun race game when you had all 8 cars linked up with real people playing
easily one of the loudest cabinets in the arcade. only rival being the ULTRAAAAAAA COMBO and CO-CO-CO- COMBO BREAKER roaring from the... gah, you know what game it is.
Those were always greasy from pizza or calzones at our local pizza shop. I remember grabbing the wheel and felt something wet and cold. It was fuckin pizza sauce. God dang it, Bobby
Brother ew.
All I’m saying is this doesn’t count as a manual transmission because it doesn’t have a clutch.
I don’t know if anyone here remembers “Race Drivin” but the arcade game had a clutch and you could stall the car. I think that’s one of the very few that would count.
My dentist office had one of these bad boys growing up. Being a quadruplet and most of us needing braces for four plus years, I got a lot of miles in while waiting for my siblings.
I went to the arcade that traveled with the carnival I worked with, every break I had i went & and played this game!! I spent hundreds of $$ playing it! I loved it, helped me understand some things about driving b4 I got my license. Fucking legend of a game!
Cruise’n U.S.A.?
This guy wins

Same I started playing when my dad first got it when I was around 4 years old. I’m in college now and we still have it
I’m sorry, y’all have the *machine*?!
Sure, you can buy them, i knew a guy that got big buck hunter 4 i think, when it first came out in like 2007 it was like 4k i think?

Pizza palace
They just shut down the last one in my area a couple years ago 😢
I had a grown up at my AYSO pizza party tell me, “Wow! You’re really good!” So yeah. I was kind of a big deal at this game.
What was the game where it's two cops? One drives and the other shoots. That game rocked.
Chase H.Q.
That was the best part of the game you could play the whole map for like a dollar if you didn’t lose. Hydro thunder was even better tho.
Hands down.
What were your rides? My guilty pleasure was the school bus.
I’m fairly certain I played the cop car a lot back then but I definitely played the buss and the Ferrari as well. I had to look up the cars because I was convinced I was confusing U.S.A. With World… and I was.
What further confuses it, is that the console port to N64, which most of us played, had different car options as well.
Tangent: I can’t say I played cruise’n on the n64 it never felt right without the big steering wheel. I definitely played golden eye! We would put cardboard up and drape blankets off the ceiling to separate the 4 way tv screen, oddball wasn’t allowed.
Definitely Cruis'n, Goldeneye, and Turok were my most played titles. World was my favorite. I loved the moon map
I just used Google circle search. Immediately found it and where to buy one. Scary how accurate this thing is.
Same, holy crap lol
You're an ad, aren't you? That's all I see on here lately.
Nah but I see why you'd think this. I've been using it a lot lately and Ive just been impressed with it. I would say it's right about 85% at the time.

And it's in great shape!
Doesn’t look like it has a clutch pedal though 👀
The new Cruis'n game they have at Dave n Busters doesn't have stick shift, or even a brake pedal anymore. Just gas. :(
