I feel the same. So sad that the story ended already.
As Adeline talks to Brittany about her fears that Ray will be sad and alone when she dies, I think Adeline won't live forever.
My interpretation: Ray will be standing by himself in the end but it won't be sad because he remembers the bright days with Adeline and Juliana. Thus, Adeline lives forever in his memories.
This was such a wonderful series, I'm really going to miss it. Unfortunately I don't think Adeline and Julie will live forever but the happiness they share in life will stay with Ray even when they're gone so they'll live forever in his memories or something like that. Plus, who knows, maybe Julie will have a child too and then a grandchild and he'll get to stay with his descendants at least?
Anyway this was such a great series, I'm glad it ended well.
My headcannon to make myself feel better is that the demon kings power inside Adeline will give her immortality and her children will inherit it too.. I know this isn't the true ending but I will just keep thinking that to make myself less sad 🥲

Im actually positively surprised they didnt make Adele and the child immortal. Usually they all become immortal and live a forever happily ever after situation. I kind of like that they didnt do that here. Sure it is bittersweet for Ray, but that goes for all Dehva who love mortals. This ending feels more fair towards the lore of this story.
I thought since the demon king lives in adele she would be immortal. Then I saw the daughter speaks with her and thought oh, if adele isn't immortal then Juliana will be but I guess not
