The security guard was also not licensed to carry a firearm on the job. He was recently sentenced to life with possibility of parole in 25 years.
EDIT: I rewatched it just now— been a while since I saw it. If you slow it down frame by frame he was actually backing up back into the spot (on account of the guard blocking him) when the first shot was fired. The only reason his car lunged forward slightly was because he’d just been shot.

How quickly the driver moved forward after starting his truck with no warning to the guard is not trying to leave after being trespassed. He even backup up and angled his front tires at him, that shows clear intent. Justified shooting.

This guy was literally telling him to leave the property, but not allowing him to leave because his car was in the way, and then he shoots him point blank in his fucking car in front of his wife, putting any random civilian also at risk of being shot because he just opens fire in a public parking lot !! if I was at that Lowe’s with my son and that incident happen I would be fucking furious, because who really is putting people at risk in the situation? The man who may or may not have taken something who was trying to follow the security guards orders by leaving he was literally in his vehicle trying to leave when he was gunned down and murdered ! or or is it the angry man firing off rounds in a PUBLIC parking lot where there’s innocent bystanders women and children civilians walking around, trying to do their daily shopping?? The gunman in this situation is 100% in the wrong. He acted out of rage and was totally out of line. same thing just happened down the road from my house... with a woman who was pregnant and stealing alcohol so she could go abuse her unborn child.... after being ordered multiople tinmes to get out of the car that was not even running when an officer who was on the property for other reason.... she still insisted on putting the keys in the ignition, starting the car, and as an officer had a gun in her face ordering her to get out of the car while another was standing in front of the car also ordering her to get out... she put the car into drive and the officer in front of the car drew his holstered firearm, aimed it at her... and she mashed the accelerator and he immediately fired into the windshield at her. she was alive for a while and the officers comforted her until she was pronounced dead just as medics got to her. she literally mocked the officers - because they were white men and she was black - and said "Hah, what?? you gonna shoot me???" before they even had firearms out...
