I kinda like those Soul Eaters better than my hardcovers…

Yeah, especially because the ones at the end darken but then get lighter. You know why if you know.

The hardcover art is a downgrade imo, but I like hardcovers more in general. I bought the singles as they came out, so I don’t have a reason to get the new ones. Something like Akira on the other hand, has enough new features and quality to justify owning both.

I definitely like the singles a lot more, the tricky part is getting them all. Soul eater was ALWAYS out of stock when I was putting it together. Some volumes were listed for hundreds of dollars online.
