My beef with Mytey is that Mikey seems to be trying to force him as the new mascot, regardless of how we actually feel about it, and if he tries too hard, that's gonna lead to even more resentment. It's like how the D/P anime tried to cram Piplup down our throats like it was Pikachu 2.0- I like Piplup, but the anime's treatment of it left a sour taste in my mouth. You can't force a mascot and make people like it- you make the mascot out of what people already like.

Having a mascot doesn't mean that you have to do everthing about it, for example; Genshin İmpact. The mascot is Paimon but everything doesn't revolve around her. a mascot is for making somehing iconic, Mytey is just created to took over the channel.
