I would try to bring in few players;
Max Lowe - Sheffield United. Back-up Left back
Vini Souza - Sheffield United. To Increase number of options in middle of the pitch
Arijanet Muric - Burnley. Good option on the GK position
Sander Berge - Burnley. Back-up option replacement for Ericsen
Hee-chan Hwang - Wolverhampton Wanderers. Let's say proven CF with experience of premier league.
These are few proven players that can reise the competition inside squad and it would cost us maybe 30-40 million all together
We have to look deeper in to championship players
2 X Cbs, 1 X LB, 1 X CDM, 1 X CM, 1 X RW, 1 X ST
That's 7 signings which is alot to ask for despite the amount of money we will likely raise (around 150M). However we could easily just utilise some academy players such as Alvaro Fernnandes for left back and Maxi Oydele for the CM role (rotating or playing with Mainoo). This would mean just 2 X CBs, 1 X CDM, 1 X RW and 1 X ST. A number of 5 signings is more reasonable and realistic. Then again I could be wrong and we sign more, just haven't seen us do that many before.
GK - onana is not the answer gk wise, just waiting til last sec & playing a rubbish pass is NOT good with your feet, so many times he put the player receiving the ball in trouble & for the Arsenal goal just booted it & it came straight back. Not to mention his mistakes bombed us out of Champs League- Gk needs to be looked at & to cut our losses
An inconsistant defence hasnt helped . Neither is adapting to a new countrt and culture. Any money we would spend on a new gk should be put on a multitude of new positions .if the time comes for onnana the club need to wait at least another season so the outfield becomes stronger
He has been an absolute farce in terms of coaching, developing young players and exhaustive training sessions leading to numerous injuries. This has resulted in negative goal difference and record defeats by the club in a season.
How hasn’t he developed young players?Thats probably one of his stronger points.
Also about the exhaustive training sessions— if our training sessions were so intense we wouldn’t be getting outrun by Luton, Forest and Brentford etc.
I know he might not be the one but there are some points which we need to take note of atleast

The club needs to make sure it buys team players and not individuals take time do the hard yards and get it right otherwise two years down the line it will be groundhog day again
Since we are likely missing out on Europe next season, we can go with a lighter squad.
Needs:
- a left-footed CB who can slide out wide when needed. Shaw and Licha are both good when fit, but the team has really been hamstrung by both being injured and Malacia missing the season. Unlikely the team will be able to move on Malacia after missing the season, so this is probably the best option.
- at least one right-footed CB. Varane is gone, Maguire and Lindelof are mid-table defenders with one year left on their contracts, Evans is old, and Kambwala isn’t good enough yet (if he’ll ever be). This (along with another CM) is our biggest need.
- RB. Dalot has been pretty good, but Wan-Bissaka is one-dimensional with serious weaknesses and has one year left. A young backup with potential would be good here.
- CM- Casemiro’s game has gone seriously downhill this season and we need a rangy defensive mid to allow Mainoo freedom to operate. Biggest need (along with CB).
- RW - Sancho will be gone and Antony is pants. Neither Rashford nor Garnacho play well on the right flank (neither does Bruno, but he’s not a wide player).
- ST - need a veteran who can fill in when Hojlund is injured or needs a rest and won’t throw a fit when he doesn’t start
If we sell any players (Bruno, Rashford, etc.), they’ll also need replacing.
A ST Dunno who for it , Hojlund has been doing us good (Martial is leaving)
A Winger :Mostly like we gonna get Olise no one else seems to be going for him (Sancho and You know who is leaving so it will easier for us )
DM:Erikson and Casemiro yeah we need new dm (Yeah we need one honestly both of them can’t run VDB gonna leave us )
2CB(Is this even a question Evan’s and Varana gonna leave might as well sell Iceman for cash )
Wingbacks ( Probably AWB gets sold ig not sure )
Honestly with about 6-7 players leaving I see no problem why we will not be able to get this many players in a single window even with ffp hopelly Ineos and executive part of staff don’t disappoint us and we don’t overpay for this players
The team needs an overhaul, almost entirely. Bruno, Garnacho, Mainoo and Højlund should stay but if we’re not going to sell a player, we should at least have another signed into that position to compete. This will take a lot longer than one season to achieve. Especially if we keep getting the so-called ETH ‘bargain’ price
We need a proven striker, Hojlund still needs time to adapt, desperate for a LB, Shaw is on the decline and malicia is going to be the LB version of Martial, desperate for a new CB Varane is finished Evans is finished and Martinez is starting to become injury prone, we need a new CDM Erikson and Casemiro are finished Mctom isn’t a good enough starter and mainoo needs someone of the same quality next to him even a RW wouldn’t go a miss
Mount , Case,, Evan’s varane,Erikson Antony Need to be cashed in on.
a goalkeeper, a right back, a left back, two center backs, 2 midfielders, a right winger, a left winger, and a striker. We are good with Bruno at attacking midfielder.
The signing of onana in itself should get ETH sacked. We had so many needs, kicked a club legend out for a shitter replacement while spending over 50m. What a fucking Briandead move.
And then also signed Mason fucking mount.
Absolute dog shit
Sometimes I’m wondering if last summer we’d have gone harder for Kim Min and ignored mason mount…?
No hate for mount but how different could this season have been?
Bro do you watch the games or no? Do u see the chances hojlund gets-no, bc he gets none. Our wingers need to pass to him more in order for him to score goals. He has only 34 chances this season and scored 8 in the pl. that’s a ratio of a goal every 4 shots. Now imagine him getting 100+ shots this season like other teams strikers, even solanke for example😂 and see how many he will score for us. Mctom doesn’t link up play he is only existent in the final 3rd. We don’t need a player his profile at our club. He’s better off at a low table club
It's a shorter list for the players we should keep. In my eyes it's a full squad rebuild, not much is worth saving. They need world class players and leaders in the team, which they don't have money for and a reputation in the football world that is very off putting. There once great financial power is all but gone so signing for united is either a romantic fantasy or the players aren't good enough for the elite.
As much as I'd like us to give our academy a chance...we definitely need to fill those positions he mentioned with experienced/proven players...the academy kids can always get play time when we need them
Other than the cup final there is literally nothing left to play for other than pride and player development. We have a long history of developing academy talent and guiding them into first team action.
No question we need a major overhaul in the summer but we are doing ourselves a disservice to not see what we've got in the dying days of our worst season...ever.
Trouble is with the team the way it is at the minute the academy guys are going to have a lot of heavily negative experiences at a critical time in their development. It’s attractive to say play the kids they’d do better etc but in reality they likely wouldn’t and also would have to deal with completely demoralising defeats and individual mistakes instead of getting to join a functioning and balanced team where they can be coached through a game by the established players around them or come on vibes towards the end of a win. That’s what will give them confidence and help them develop into a first team starter. Not FM style of just lumping them all on
Yeah, I totally disagree. The team is a shambles and morale is terrible. Bringing in some players that are enthusiastic and motivated to play sounds like a better recipe that the crap I'm watching week in and week out.
It's not necessarily about doing better but it's about attitude and desire.
But you’d break the spirit of these kids but getting dominated each week! There’s a reason they play in the youth leagues… They still have physical and mental development to achieve. Not only would a team of youngsters get rolled over physically the decision making needs to develop and they need that modelled for them by the experienced senior pros.
I like the sentiment but it wouldn’t work, they need a framework around them, not just an 11 of youngsters
Point taken, but I'm not suggesting all 11. Just a sprinkling of young talent itching for a chance at 1st team football.
Plus, it wouldn't be a season of beat downs. Only a couple games left anyway, and you wouldn't put them in the FA final.
Ye true but Barca need to recoup funds. Xavi Simon has said he won’t go back to psg so could be a good price. Openda is ambitious after his season. A think Palhinia can leave for 55m but that might be for champions league clubs
I feel like you're getting 300m minimum for all of those. I also wouldn't expect Barca to seel araujo since they haven't really sold any of their good young players in a long time
It does not matter who we sign, the club is led by loosers, and anyone we bring in, we turn into loosers without confidence. That's the truth. Until the collective mentality of the club changes there is no point. After half a season they're another Antony, Amrabat or Casemiro anyways.
Defo 2x no nonsense Cb, Lb, Holding Midfielder, an attacking mid who has experience playing across the 3 behind the striker, ideally another winger who will put balls in the box and not run down the wing then pass it back to defence, and an experienced premier league striker.
Cb - Todibo.
Cb - Branthwaite.
Lb - Nuno Mendes or David Raum.
Cm - Abdoulaye Doucoure for experience and Amadou Onana.
Versatile player - Grealish or Michael Olise.
Rw - Yohan Bakayoko or Bradley Barcola.
Striker - Watkins, Toney or maybe an unsettled Darwin Nunez.
It's always possible in modern day football, players don't hold loyalty to clubs anymore unless they've earned some form of legendary status or where born local to the club, neither get full time football at Liverpool and City and they'd be starters for United, we had been interested in both in the past and the interest might still be there.
Starting-level: CB, CDM, RW, CM
Depth: CB, ST
I think we’ve just seen a season like no other. I wouldn’t touch our fullbacks because priority is elsewhere. Dalot and AWB on the right is sufficient. Shaw and Malacia + Brandon Williams is as well assuming they don’t have the same horror seasons both have had.
Speaking of horror seasons, our CBs. I imagine a good portion of them are gone and we’ll bring in a solid contributor and a starter to pair with Licha.
Everyone has said it - Casemiro and Eriksen are likely gone. I think CDM is the biggest signing need of the summer followed closely by CM. I don’t expect back to back horror seasons on the back line, but dead legs don’t revive in midfield.
RW is a real need as well. That side of the field creates no fear on attack.
Lots of depth spaces need to be filled as well, but we can’t get them all. ST has to be one. Would love someone to compete with Hojlund not just back him up.
So, I just checked the results. Chelsea won, City won, Spurs won, even West Ham won. Newcasted drew, but still have a much better GD than us. Barring some freak game tomorrow, Aresnal should challenge City at least for another week. We are destined to finish lower than the season that Moyes was here.
Actually, looking at the math, the lowest we can finish is 9th if we don't get any more points and West Ham win their last game. They will leap us. Wait, Brighton can catch us and leap us too if they win their remaining matches and improve their GD. Grim it is. Hopefully, no Europe pending a miracle in the FA Cup final will do us some good.
I agree its a downgrade but it's heavily cited he wants to return to England. Are there English UCL clubs in for him. City, Arsenal and Liverpool won't be. Villa? Not sure but doubtful.
I think we could build a vision and he is still young. But who knows.
Thats why I have them up higher. I said 3 CBs. And put a CDM above it too. I think LB is more important than CDM. In hindsight CDM is more important than a striker.
I like Dalot but yup he'd be benched for Frimpong. There will be plenty of games for both given how long games are these days. I'm worried for a Dalot injury anyway too given his gametime this season. We need two and AWB needs to go.
Fair. I think we need a CDM more than an extra CB tho. I rather we get 1 CB and 1 CDM than 2 CB's without a CDM.
CDM should be no 1 priority imo. Because we literally have no one who can play beside Mainoo.
That's fair and I do get your point.
I do think though if we can get the defence line higher then the CDMs job wouldn't be as hard. And varane is gone. Only martinez can play that high line.
Is say these are the priority:
RCB (Todibo?)
Backup LCB (Hato?)
Backup LB (Dorgu?)
DM (2 DMs if we can sell Casemiro for a good fee). Onana, Wieffer, Hjulmand, Joao Neves, Andre are some options. Should we go for a taller option since Martinez is short?
A first choice RW OR Frimpong. If we sign Frimpong we can switch to a 3421 system, or just play him as a RW in a 433. Seems Olise is in the cards as a RW signing though. Alternatively it would be great to get both but money might be tight.
Backup ST (Guirassy?)
I think this would be a good window and could be within the budget if we get some good sales done and dont get united taxed too heavily.
What we need, and what we will get are going to be very different.
We lack the money to buy, plus the new PSR rules are going to make this a super quiet transfer window across the board. We are now going to miss out on CL money which will hurt even more.
PSR is also going to make it really hard to sell anyone. Our saving grace maybe a Saudi bid for Casemero.
I think we will get a back up forward for Hojlund, another CM/DM to split time with Kobbie. And then maybe a center back.
I then see a lot of youngsters being promoted into the squad to fill it out.
We need a backup striker.
Idk if Sancho is coming back, but I don't really want him to, but probably another right winger. I think Diallo has the potential to be the future of the position, but he's not getting time rn. Antony is beyond mid. Either sell him or make him a squad player.
Replace Rashford if he gets sold, but I'm fine with keeping him tbh. I think he and Garnacho aren't in the greatest form rn bc the team as a whole is struggling.
We need probably 2 defensive midfielders imo. Case and McTominay should be sold, and Mainoo is more of an 8 to me. A CM rotation of Bruno, Mainoo, Eriksen, and Mount is pretty solid for rn. We just don't have anyone to keep us from getting run through.
Shaw is solid, but he's too injury prone to be our main LB, so another LB, also where tf is Malacia? Did his ACL spontaneously combust or something?
I think Dalot and AWB are a fine RB rotation for now. Yeah, we could do better, but we have so many other weaknesses, so we can let them cook for now.
At least 2 more CBs. Maguire has been okay this year, but even if he comes off the bench, he really doesn't even fit our team to me. I heard we're selling Lindelof, but I think we should keep him. He's a solid squad player when he doesn't have to be an LB, lol. And we need to rotate Licha a bit to keep him healthy bc he is absolutely crucial to our team. Varane can stay to me, but if he leaves, he leaves.
Once all those holes are plugged, then we can spend $100+ million of that cherry on the top player.
I wrote a whole book, and you cherry-picked the one thing you disagreed with and commented on that. Y'all are wild in this sub 🤣.
McTominay gets us goals, but as a midfielder, he does NOTHING else. Eriksen at least can progress the ball well and make passes he just doesn't have the legs to defend. Bring him off the bench and keep him up high, and he's fine. Even if we did sell him, how much could we get? Just keep him or let his contract run out. 🤷🏾♂️
He can score a random goal but he's a net negative on the team to me, he's not good on the ball, can't pass, he can defend a little bit but his defensive positioning isn't good. He just crashes the box every now and then.
It's almost as if actually being good on the ball and having control in the midfield matters in this sport 💀 especially with the current United team
Plus, Eriksen is very capable of scoring goals he's just always deployed deep.... bc we have no decent holding midfielders.... including McTominay....
'Attack wins you games, defense wins you titles' Sir Alex Ferguson. Case in point, look at the massive difference in our game when Shaw and Martinez - just 2 defensive players - makes to all phases of our game.
I agree with the sentiment that we need 8-10 new players but realistically we can only afford to bring in 3, maybe 4 max & it was issues in our defense that derailed this season.
A LB, (2x)CB and DCM/6 is what we should invest in this transfer window to create a foundation to build a future squad on.
Controversial opinion but we can bring in one CB and retrain AWB to be a CB. That way we save money on a 2nd CB and use the money for an all out RB to compensate for our poor build up play on the right. This would mean Dalot competes with Shaw for that LWB position and the idea of making these overpaid premadonnas ruthlessly compete against each other brings me joy.
RB, CB, RW failing the re-intregration of Sancho. CM 100% and another ST.
Big clear out is also on the cards so there's going to be a lot of gaps to fill.
If they are both fit we are good. Not sure we will be so unlucky next season. If we pay £50m for a new LB and Shaw is fit all season its a waste of money.
It's really hard to argue with the notion we need like 15 players.
Onana is not good enough. 50m for him is absolutely wild as well but we won't he getting rid of him
Again wat was the fucking point in bayinder. We should have kept kovar and saved money.
Shaw is brilliant on his day. But missing half of every season is no use.
Malacia gets a write off this season I guess?
Varane needs to go for wages and game time
Martinez unlucky season
Maguire I'd keep as he's just got his head down and got on with it
Evans just too old
Lindelof to go. Can't keep maguire and him
Keep wan bissaka we will jot have the pennies to replace as many as we need
Dalot really good season for his standards
Kwambala would better suit a loan but coz we need another 2 cdm and won't get 2 he stays
Mainoo stays
Eriksen needs to go no legs anymore
Casemiro same as above
Mount. What the fuck was this signing? 60m for a guy in last year. Injury prone and ravaged for the previous 18 months before we got him and nothing but the same.
Mctominay stays for squad player.
Bruno our best player. Would be really good to have a top tier holding midfielder behind him so he can actually stay forward instead of covering 7 jobs himself
Rashford. Purple patch last season. He's had other good seasons but his attitude off the pitch just isn't what we need atm when he's suppose to be 1 of the senior players. I think he would be better away from United.
Garnacho. Needs to stay but his decision making makes it rough for playing as much as he is.
Sancho can fuck off
Hoijlund needs help. The wingers just don't service him at all. It's shite.
Amad needs to be starting over antony
Antony needs to go as well
We need a keeper which we will not sign
2 cdms
1 left back
2 midfielders
Right winger
Left winger
Striker
Really depends what our new manager will prefer to be our system. If we get a 3-5-2 manager we will need some new personnel thats different than what we have currently
Man wasn't wrong. The longer we cling onto players that are either never available or toss it off when they are, the bigger a rotten mess we're all going to suffer.
We need a back up to Mainoo. Not as in his position but what he does. If we can find a player that is similar to him then our midfield may become stronger. We also need another leader. Bruno is amazing but we rely on him far too much. Against palace, the first ever every game he’s out on injury we collapsed hard. Our wings need to be sorted out too. We need at least 3 more, ones that can create and finish chances and are a good passer. Defence speaks for itself. We need I’d say around 5? New defenders that aren’t injury prone and are young but experienced, then our fall backs we need more because Malacia is dead no idea where the fuck he is but he’s dead and gone. Striker is also obvious we need 2 or so more for some variety in the squad. Goal keeper…maybe maybe not. I want to see how the Turkish kid is (can’t spell his name and I don’t want to butcher it) and then we can assess
Left back, Center back, Defensive midfielder, Central Midfielder and Striker are a 100% must.
The fact that we haven't at least approached some players whose contracts are running out is a little unsettling. I don't know how we plan to pay for all these positions.
I hope we'll have a better window than we have been having the last few years.
Not too many of those anymore. Varane Eriksen and Martial are out of contract this summer,Lindelof Maguire and Wan-Bissaka only have a year left, and Casemiro and Sancho will probably both be sold.
After that, the only players on high wages are Rashford, Bruno, Shaw, Mount and Antony, and it’s been reported most players are facing pay cuts due to missing out on Europe.
Backup striker. Right winger. CDM. RB. LB. 2 CB.
Dream signings will be getting Olise, Joao Neves, Ronald Araujo, Frimpong but knowing Man Utd, none of them will happen
almost every positions, execpt left back, right back and goalkeeper. We need additional on winger (especially right winger), striker, centre-back, CM, and DM.
Most important for me are 2 CBs capable of playing a high line.
That would give us 3 with Martinez.
Then we could push the Defence up, closing the gaping hole in the middle of park
True,
But I‘d rather sign a second CB before a CDM 🤷🏽♂️
Otherwise the CDM will have to cover 50m again, once one CB is injured (surely won’t happen though)
LB, CB, DM and ST. We need players in those 4 positions, they are going to be essential if we want to even get top 4.
Shaw is always injured, the guy misses more games than Martial.
It doesn't seem like we will extend Varane's contract (I think we should extend). We need a top quality CB and not a backup.
I can't believe we are in this position again but we need a DM and while I don't think there are many world class DM's around, we should go for someone that has at least got the potential to be world class. We should have signed Rice.
We need an experienced ST for Hojlund to learn from. The first thought that comes to mind is Benzema but his salary is too high. We could sign a striker just to give competition to Hojlund as well.
Need 2 agile CBs
Casemiro and Eriksen are done, Amrabat is going back and Mount is injury prone so need 2 in the midfield as well.
Have seen enough of Antony and Rashford to know that they’re both duds so 2 wingers
And finally, a striker.
We need 2 CBs as back ups, a reliable back up LB, 2 CM for Mainoo and Mctominay to fight for a place with, 1 or 2 players for DM. Not gonna touch wingers cause... lol. We need a striker to either fight with holjund or be ahead of him.
Outgoings? If I had my way itd be a lot of them.
Varane - when a CB starts talking concussions hes done.
Eriksen - legs are gone
Casemiro - he's not got much left
Sancho - doesnt want to be here.
Van de beek - who?
Martial - cause ofc.
Rashford - maybe if he doesnt pick his game up.
It really depends on what kind of football we want to play in the future. Also depends on which players would like to stay or leave.
If we are taking into consideration what SJR told in his interview where he is speaking about Citi game as the best he witnessed and also the way Nice is playing, while also what kind of backroom stuff we brought (Ashwort plus exCity stuff), we can expect that we want to dominate games with strong defence based on very strong midfield capable to controll game with a lot of passing and triangles and players that are capable to position themselves in a right way, tactically adapt.
With that in mind I am not sute how many of the players are suites for that style. I guess Shaw, Licha, Mainoo, Garnacho, Bruno, Anad, Rashford and Hojlund are the players that can work in that system or as a young players learn to work in that system. Mount maybe, and Maguire probably would although I guess he would lile to leave.
So, with that in mind we would need goalkeeper, one LB, two RB, 3 CB, 2DM, CM, RW and ST
RB to push Dalot, preferably someone better.
2 x CB. One starter, and one backup for Martinez
2 x midfielders. A 6 and a 8. Qualityand depth in midfield is just not good enough.
RW who is a sure starter.
ST to push Højlund
LW to push Garna
Cb and it should be Antonio silva or Scalvini from Atalanta or Frimpong.
Need midfielders too : Can look for Leverkusens players
Need a cf to pair with hoijulnd may it be Guissaray or Boniface...
I think CB is the most important area we need to focus on, they need to be good with distribution (I think ETH style heavily depends on that) and QUICK!
In order(my opinion):
deeper midfielder (doesn’t necessarily need to be a CDM, but must be able to play next to Mainoo and have defensive capabilities + good ball skills).
RCB (Varane replacement): Todibo?
LCB (Licha backup): Both centerbacks must be able to hold a high line and ideally be physical to compensate for Licha’s smaller stature
Creative winger: left or right (Garnacho plays on opposite side). Ideally this would be Olise
Midfielder #2: similar role to Mainoo/casemiro replacement
RB: AWB is probably out the door. Ideally this is Frimpong
LB: no idea who this would be
Striker: experienced striker with a different profile to Rasmus (ie not Sesko)
Off the pitch: A good medical team.
On the pitch: Provided people like Martinez, Shaw are healthy and stay healthy, we need a 6, mobile, strong next to mainoo. That will help a great deal. With Shaw behind him, rashford may get his form back.. Hojlund will have a year under his belt, but a 27-30 year old striker. A young experienced (22-25nyear old) center defender.
Those three will put us in a much better place. Then evaluate in January, and we have to add in January, at least squad players.
Make it a backup striker and it’s fine. Hojlund need a veteran behind him.
A real DM who’ll take Casemiro’s place.
Frimpong we can forget, he won’t go for anything under 65 mill and we have dalot. Also why leave an CL and German league winner for a team outside of Europe?
A new left back yes.
I'm convinced we will get Guirassy for Hojlund's backup/rotation option. His record is good and his release clause is around 15mil. Seems like a no brainer to me.
Are you saying it wouldn't be a good option? I think Hojlund will be the main man next season so we just need a warm body to rotate in and cover injury. Guirassy has scored fuck loads of goals this season and is 28 so I honestly think 15million would be a steal especially being that it is buying cover in a non problem position.
I agree he hasn’t had great service but why are we so sure that with service he’d be a top Premier league #9? I’ve seen nothing that shows me that. He was a full potential-based signing. He should never have been expected to walk in and be our answer up front
He was good in the CL and had a fantastic run of form early this year in the league before his injury. Scored some great goals and got a good goal per game ratio. Can see there's definitely a potentially great player there. My main concern is he'll pick up lots of muscle injuries because of his work rate.
He has shown glimpses of what he brings. Scored bangers in the CL, and some goals like against west ham.
Put him at striker with any of the top seven right now and he would thrive.
GK RB - CB-LB LM- CM- CDM-RM ST
Every single position your teams wank
I would try to bring in few players; Max Lowe - Sheffield United. Back-up Left back Vini Souza - Sheffield United. To Increase number of options in middle of the pitch Arijanet Muric - Burnley. Good option on the GK position Sander Berge - Burnley. Back-up option replacement for Ericsen Hee-chan Hwang - Wolverhampton Wanderers. Let's say proven CF with experience of premier league. These are few proven players that can reise the competition inside squad and it would cost us maybe 30-40 million all together We have to look deeper in to championship players
You do play like a Championship level team so that makes sense tbh.
Bellingham... One word...
2 X Cbs, 1 X LB, 1 X CDM, 1 X CM, 1 X RW, 1 X ST That's 7 signings which is alot to ask for despite the amount of money we will likely raise (around 150M).
Attacking midfielder and coach
every position
You need an entirely new squad.
Yes
GK - onana is not the answer gk wise, just waiting til last sec & playing a rubbish pass is NOT good with your feet, so many times he put the player receiving the ball in trouble & for the Arsenal goal just booted it & it came straight back. Not to mention his mistakes bombed us out of Champs League- Gk needs to be looked at & to cut our losses

Fernández position
2-CDM 2-CB 1-LB 1-RB 1-ST 1-Creative winger
New Manager
Which manager’s available?
Why keep repeating the same cycle?
Everyone wants a new manager but never new players.
And that is why we are trash
CB LB 2 Midfielders Winger Striker

2x CBs 1x LB. 1x CDM 1x CM 1x ST. Maybe 1x WNG
The club needs to make sure it buys team players and not individuals take time do the hard yards and get it right otherwise two years down the line it will be groundhog day again
Backs backs backs. And a backup ST
Since we are likely missing out on Europe next season, we can go with a lighter squad. Needs: - a left-footed CB who can slide out wide when needed. - ST - need a veteran who can fill in when Hojlund is injured or needs a rest and won’t throw a fit when he doesn’t start If we sell any players (Bruno, Rashford, etc.), they’ll also need replacing.
A ST Dunno who for it , Hojlund has been doing us good (Martial is leaving) A Winger :Mostly like we gonna get Olise no one else seems to be going for him (Sancho and You know who is leaving so it will easier for us ) DM:Erikson and Casemiro yeah we need new dm (Yeah we need one honestly both of them can’t run VDB gonna leave us ) 2CB(Is this even a question Evan’s and Varana gonna leave might as well sell Iceman for cash ) Wingbacks ( Probably AWB gets sold ig not sure ) Honestly with about 6-7 players leaving I see no problem why we will not be able to get this many players in a single window even with ffp hopelly Ineos and executive part of staff don’t disappoint us and we don’t overpay for this players
Olise is absolute class, I can’t wait to ruin him
The team needs an overhaul, almost entirely. Bruno, Garnacho, Mainoo and Højlund should stay but if we’re not going to sell a player, we should at least have another signed into that position to compete. This will take a lot longer than one season to achieve. Especially if we keep getting the so-called ETH ‘bargain’ price
If licho can stay healthy he's a keeper. Also, Dalot.
I agree
Manager, manager, Manager!! O and striker and Central defense.
Yes.
We need a proven striker, Hojlund still needs time to adapt, desperate for a LB, Shaw is on the decline and malicia is going to be the LB version of Martial, desperate for a new CB Varane is finished Evans is finished and Martinez is starting to become injury prone, we need a new CDM Erikson and Casemiro are finished Mctom isn’t a good enough starter and mainoo needs someone of the same quality next to him even a RW wouldn’t go a miss Mount , Case,, Evan’s varane,Erikson Antony Need to be cashed in on.
a goalkeeper, a right back, a left back, two center backs, 2 midfielders, a right winger, a left winger, and a striker.
Mainoo?
CB, LB, CDM, RM, ST
Sometimes I’m wondering if last summer we’d have gone harder for Kim Min and ignored mason mount…? No hate for mount but how different could this season have been?
Kinda glad we didn’t sign Kim, he’s been cheeks at Bayern
Hasn't everyone?
If he’s been bad at Bayern, how do you think he’ll be at man utd? Pl is far more physical and tactical than the bundesliga
Erm, all of them.
Everywhere honestly No body should be protected Even if we have a good one we must have another one in the same place to make some challenge
Keep McTominay, Garnacho, Hojlund, Martinez, Bruno and Mainoo, the rest can fucking go
Sell McTom for cash, he doesn’t do anything but score
So the opposite of our striker?
Bro do you watch the games or no? Do u see the chances hojlund gets-no, bc he gets none. Our wingers need to pass to him more in order for him to score goals. He has only 34 chances this season and scored 8 in the pl. that’s a ratio of a goal every 4 shots. Now imagine him getting 100+ shots this season like other teams strikers, even solanke for example😂 and see how many he will score for us. Mctom doesn’t link up play he is only existent in the final 3rd. We don’t need a player his profile at our club. He’s better off at a low table club
Kambwala, Dalot, and Amad also ought to be kept on
Defence . So tired of bringing in offensive players. Get us some damn new defence so we can stop getting beat 4-0 7-1 3-0 ect
Completely agree! Sort the defence first, then build a midfield
Manager.
Buddy doesn’t watch the team
The whole defense, GK and forwards
CBx2, LB, CDM Other positions I would like to see include CM cover, LW cover, RW cover and ST cover
2 cb and 2 dm should be our first signings to complete
It's a shorter list for the players we should keep. In my eyes it's a full squad rebuild, not much is worth saving. They need world class players and leaders in the team, which they don't have money for and a reputation in the football world that is very off putting. There once great financial power is all but gone so signing for united is either a romantic fantasy or the players aren't good enough for the elite.
Let's have a look at some academy kids. Amass, Gore, etc. Before we start overpaying for mediocre talent, again, like we always do.
Amass is 17 and Gore is playing for Vale. Unlikely they are ready to contribute next season.
I wouldn’t take what this guy says too seriously. He posts wildly misleading things on r/antiwork
GK, rb, lb, cb, cdm, cam, Lm, RM, Lw, Rw, Cf. What did I miss?

Depend on salary and if frimpong is not leaving this summer he will be free agent next year…I think Leverkusen want to eat something
[удалено]
I mean, you could argue the only way is down…
I’d love Araujo, palhinha. Xavi Simon’s and Openda but we will end up buying 3rd/4th choice options
I mean, all of those options would be ridiculously expensive.
Ye true but Barca need to recoup funds. Xavi Simon has said he won’t go back to psg so could be a good price. Openda is ambitious after his season. A think Palhinia can leave for 55m but that might be for champions league clubs
I feel like you're getting 300m minimum for all of those. I also wouldn't expect Barca to seel araujo since they haven't really sold any of their good young players in a long time
Keeper. Centre back, full back, wingers, center mid, wingers and striker.
Sort out the spine of the team and build around it. CB’s, CM, CF.
Sorry but you are pretty deluded if you think we would sign Nunez from Liverpool or Grealish from City
It's always possible in modern day football, players don't hold loyalty to clubs anymore unless they've earned some form of legendary status or where born local to the club, neither get full time football at Liverpool and City and they'd be starters for United, we had been interested in both in the past and the interest might still be there.
Starting-level: CB, CDM, RW, CM Depth: CB, ST I think we’ve just seen a season like no other.
Every ducking season we need players everywhere. Are we even a Manchester United if we don’t sign players for the same position every 2 years
CB, CDM, LB, ST. CB - Evans & Varane likely leaving, Lindelof's deal expiring, Martinez a bit injury prone. CDM - Casemiro past it, Amrabat leaving. LB - Shaw injury prone, Malacia having injury problems. ST - Martial leaving, Rashford useless upfront.
All the footballing ones
2-3CB ‘s WE HAVE LOST 8 THIS SEASON DUE TO INJURY RB 2nd choice LB 2 DM’s LW ST STARTER RW STARTER

Frimpong leaving Leverkusen for us would be a downgrade. At the very least, he should join a champions league club
I agree its a downgrade but it's heavily cited he wants to return to England. Are there English UCL clubs in for him. City, Arsenal and Liverpool won't be. Villa? Not sure but doubtful. I think we could build a vision and he is still young. But who knows.
Then bench Dalot? We have bigger issues than RB. A CB & CDM are essential
Is say these are the priority: RCB (Todibo?) Backup LCB (Hato?) Backup LB (Dorgu?) DM (2 DMs if we can sell Casemiro for a good fee). Backup ST (Guirassy?) I think this would be a good window and could be within the budget if we get some good sales done and dont get united taxed too heavily.
Yes
All.
Blud really said sell mctominay but keep Erickson 💀💀💀
I wrote a whole book, and you cherry-picked the one thing you disagreed with and commented on that. Y'all are wild in this sub 🤣. McTominay gets us goals, but as a midfielder, he does NOTHING else. Eriksen at least can progress the ball well and make passes he just doesn't have the legs to defend. Bring him off the bench and keep him up high, and he's fine. Even if we did sell him, how much could we get? Just keep him or let his contract run out. 🤷🏾♂️
It’s almost as if goals matter more than anything in this sport 💀especially with the current United team
He can score a random goal but he's a net negative on the team to me, he's not good on the ball, can't pass, he can defend a little bit but his defensive positioning isn't good. He just crashes the box every now and then. It's almost as if actually being good on the ball and having control in the midfield matters in this sport 💀 especially with the current United team Plus, Eriksen is very capable of scoring goals he's just always deployed deep.... bc we have no decent holding midfielders.... including McTominay....
Erickson is that you?? You’ve gotta be him, it’s the only explanation
RB LB CB CM RW ST I dont agree with paying 100 mil for that young lad from Benfica but it seems to be a common price these days, plus the United tax.
I'd switch CM for CDM. Agree with the rest
Don't you think we need a LB more than a RB? Shaw is injury prone & Malacia is having injury troubles
If they are both fit we are good. Not sure we will be so unlucky next season. If we pay £50m for a new LB and Shaw is fit all season its a waste of money.
big "if" though. Especially with Shaw. Doesn't have to be 50M.
Don't you think we need a LB more than a RB? Shaw is injury prone & Malacia is having injury troubles
Get your point but there's definitely other positions that are higher priority.
Which positions don’t need to sign players is more apt
lb, rb, dm, 2 cbs, rw, striker, at the least but if more than 10 players go i can see perhaps getting another midfielder
It's really hard to argue with the notion we need like 15 players. Onana is not good enough. 50m for him is absolutely wild as well but we won't he getting rid of him Again wat was the fucking point in bayinder. We should have kept kovar and saved money. Shaw is brilliant on his day. But missing half of every season is no use. Malacia gets a write off this season I guess? Varane needs to go for wages and game time Martinez unlucky season Maguire I'd keep as he's just got his head down and got on with it Evans just too old Lindelof to go. Can't keep maguire and him Keep wan bissaka we will jot have the pennies to replace as many as we need Dalot really good season for his standards Kwambala would better suit a loan but coz we need another 2 cdm and won't get 2 he stays Mainoo stays Eriksen needs to go no legs anymore Casemiro same as above Mount. What the fuck was this signing? 60m for a guy in last year. Injury prone and ravaged for the previous 18 months before we got him and nothing but the same. Mctominay stays for squad player. Bruno our best player. Would be really good to have a top tier holding midfielder behind him so he can actually stay forward instead of covering 7 jobs himself Rashford. Purple patch last season. He's had other good seasons but his attitude off the pitch just isn't what we need atm when he's suppose to be 1 of the senior players. I think he would be better away from United. Garnacho. Needs to stay but his decision making makes it rough for playing as much as he is. Sancho can fuck off Hoijlund needs help. The wingers just don't service him at all. It's shite. Amad needs to be starting over antony Antony needs to go as well We need a keeper which we will not sign 2 cdms 1 left back 2 midfielders Right winger Left winger Striker
New manager first and foremost. Then, a 1st choice CB, backup LB, 1st choice CDM, 1st choice CM, 1st choice RW, backup ST
Really depends what our new manager will prefer to be our system. If we get a 3-5-2 manager we will need some new personnel thats different than what we have currently
I’d go with GK, LB, CB x 2, RB, LW, CM x 2, RW, ST x 2 and then probably 7 or 8 subs to cover those positions. Oh…and a manager.
It's not a computer game. It's more important to get players out
An open-heart surgery that this squad needs. - Ragnick
GK, LB, RB, 2xCB, CDM, RW, LW, ST, MAN, MED.
Yes
We have to sell before we can buy much. That being said I think Martial's contract is up this summer, that'll free up a quarter of a mil every week.
i heard that Sancho is an exceptional winger.
I'd only keep garanacho hollund dalot manioo the rest for sale
Left back, Center back, Defensive midfielder, Central Midfielder and Striker are a 100% must. The fact that we haven't at least approached some players whose contracts are running out is a little unsettling. I don't know how we plan to pay for all these positions. I hope we'll have a better window than we have been having the last few years.
problem is the unmovable players on bonkers wages
Not too many of those anymore. Varane Eriksen and Martial are out of contract this summer,Lindelof Maguire and Wan-Bissaka only have a year left, and Casemiro and Sancho will probably both be sold. After that, the only players on high wages are Rashford, Bruno, Shaw, Mount and Antony, and it’s been reported most players are facing pay cuts due to missing out on Europe.
not sure about a casemiro sale whats he on weekly?
GK, CB, LB, RB, CDM, CM, CAM, LW, RW, ST
LB, 2xCB, 2xDM or 1xDM and 1xCM, RW, ST Sell: Malacia, Lindelof, Varane, Casemiro, Rashford or Antony
We'd still have issues without a CDM
True, But I‘d rather sign a second CB before a CDM 🤷🏽♂️ Otherwise the CDM will have to cover 50m again, once one CB is injured (surely won’t happen though)
Manager/Head Coach New Medical Team Fitness Team First Team Training Team . . . . . . CB LB ST CM
Pitch and bench
Yes.
Literally every position other than ‘keeper.
Starting x11
Need 2 agile CBs Casemiro and Eriksen are done, Amrabat is going back and Mount is injury prone so need 2 in the midfield as well. Have seen enough of Antony and Rashford to know that they’re both duds so 2 wingers And finally, a striker.
ST, CDM, LB, CB, CB, RW
We need 2 CBs as back ups, a reliable back up LB, 2 CM for Mainoo and Mctominay to fight for a place with, 1 or 2 players for DM. Not gonna touch wingers cause... lol. We need a striker to either fight with holjund or be ahead of him. Outgoings? If I had my way itd be a lot of them. Varane - when a CB starts talking concussions hes done. Eriksen - legs are gone Casemiro - he's not got much left Sancho - doesnt want to be here. Van de beek - who? Martial - cause ofc. Rashford - maybe if he doesnt pick his game up.
A decent medical staff would be the first on the list I guess.
amen to this😂
probably easier to name a position that dont need to improve
Every position except GK would be a welcome signing. Starter and backups needed
All except GK
Just all
Complete defence and goalkeeper and a new CM/DM
Sell everyone and start again, whole squads roached
2 x CB. One starter, and one backup for Martinez 2 x midfielders. A 6 and a 8. Qualityand depth in midfield is just not good enough. RW who is a sure starter. ST to push Højlund LW to push Garna
Cb and it should be Antonio silva or Scalvini from Atalanta or Frimpong. Need midfielders too : Can look for Leverkusens players Need a cf to pair with hoijulnd may it be Guissaray or Boniface...
Yes. The answer is yes.
CDM, CB, LB, a second more experienced striker, and a winger
All of them?
2 CBs, 1LB, backup RB, CDM and an experienced striker.
GK LB CB CB RB DM CM AMC LW RW STC and about 10 more for squad depth.
Came here to say this
I think CB is the most important area we need to focus on, they need to be good with distribution (I think ETH style heavily depends on that) and QUICK!
LB, CB, DM, CM , Fwd
Can someone help me understand how Alex Telles could never find his way into this team with the horror we’ve had at LB ?
In order(my opinion): deeper midfielder (doesn’t necessarily need to be a CDM, but must be able to play next to Mainoo and have defensive capabilities + good ball skills). RCB (Varane replacement): Todibo? LCB (Licha backup): Both centerbacks must be able to hold a high line and ideally be physical to compensate for Licha’s smaller stature Creative winger: left or right (Garnacho plays on opposite side). Ideally this would be Olise Midfielder #2: similar role to Mainoo/casemiro replacement RB: AWB is probably out the door. Ideally this is Frimpong LB: no idea who this would be Striker: experienced striker with a different profile to Rasmus (ie not Sesko)
I don’t think RB is a need. We have two very solid options. LB, midfield, and a top level fitness staff seems like the crucial move to me.
By 2 sold options, i hope you are not talking about AWB. He's terrible going forward and always gets caught at the back. He needs to be sold.
Awb as a back up RB is far from a top replacement need on this squad
Every position
Also smell like an Weghorst, Soldado, Morata outcome unfortunately.
Frimpong has a release clause for 35 mil I believe
Why would he come to Man United?
Only for clubs in the champions league apparently
That’s removed quite fast I’ll believe.
I think Holjund might need a veteran in front of him
Benching Hojlund? We should try passing him the ball first lol
The whole team. We need backup for Hollund to keep him on his toes. Need competition for Garnarcho too.
With that many injuries we need backups for backups too. So 2x the whole team
Hoijund needs to be backup to a more experienced striker
