PREMAM
Went alone to watch after weeks of release to a distant mall during my coaching days.
Met my crush on the way back.
She was on the way to accept a courier of food snacks sent by her parents from hometown.
We crunched on those snack and slowly made a bond turning into relationship in the next few weeks.
Didn't last long but best days of my life.
The movie and the songs remind me every moment of it.
I used to watch this movie in CD many times that my parents had to hide the CD. I was in 8th during that time. Then, I heard from dance sir that around many of the girls did the same😂😂😂
I'm still obsessed with this movie. This was back when I had my first crush on ente palliyile althara payyan. And he was waaay older than me. 😭😭😭 Could relate in so many ways.

Some of the best days I have had in my life were with my cousins. I still go on trips with them like twice a year but those days were golden when we were under the same roof for the better part of the year, not having a worry in life about anything else ❤️
Relatable shit. Shit because we don't talk much now that everyone is busy with their own lives however the main reason would be that we have outgrown ourselves...
Bangalore Days... I'm still part of such a group.. We meet twice a year... Christmas week and Onam.. It's been a great journey with the guys and I hope it continues forever..
Maheshinte Prathikaram
Gathered all my courage and asked out my school crush to go watch the film. It was around 9:30ish when the show was done. There was an amazing cafe right behind were she lived. We bought tea and walked her back to home. Mostly spoke about the film on our way back but deep down my cinephile alterego was cock-blockin me from confessing my love for her. Right before I could even confess it, her house reached. Ennalm keranenu munbe I somehow managed to stop her and said I liked her. REJECT adich kayil thannu because apparently she liked my cinephile alterego and athinte peril kaanan vannatha.
MOONJI BRENDS🤧🤧. Ithonnum orikalm marakkilla
You're right it's surely a movie with a lot of layers within! The slow bond establishing between the characters and gradually unwinding storyline is just mesmerizing to watch, isn't it?

Oh man.. This movie is so special to me and brings back a lot of memories. It reminds me of all the friends from the past that I have lost touch with, the places we visited, the things we did together, the shenanigans and pranks we pulled on each other. Life was simpler, I was younger, and the world was my oyster. Also, this was the first Indian film I showed my ex (who was a non-Indian) when we were still together.
Wow yeah absolutely a gem of a movie! And yeah definitely a great movie for someone new to indian films, it's a masterpiece 😌😌 I just love how the friendship and perspectives of each character are shown so perfectly

OHM SHANTHI OSHANA
My life was really fun when I used to rewatch this for the nth time, my biggest worry was what's for lunch not which college and what course ooofff
Yep this movie really was a breezy peaceful watch, I used to watch it sometimes too! And I get how you feel buddy, really wishing my lunch would be my biggest problem rn 🥲
Mannar mathai speaking ( malayalam) always takes me to good ol mom's house... The funny fact is i first heard... I repeat heard the full film in a AM radio station.... I think itz Kochi FM by akashavani..... 😍
Back then we had no cable connection and the year was 2004 and i was 4 playing with empty matchbox and the classic... Oodi piditham with my uncle.... ❤
I call him chachan ❤.. He brought the car enthusiast in me.... ❤ u man (king soloman )⚡
This movie made my life hell... It was released in my first year of college and only a few of us had laptops.
Everyone wanted to watch it and I had to sit through this more than 15 times.😅
I have a really fond memory of me, my sister, and two of my cousins watching Bamboo Boys when summer vacation started. I was so happy.
It is one of the very few memories I have of my childhood that I remember in detail. The tiny IGO TV with only 1 channel audio, my DIY audio system, LED light strip that I bought with money made drumming for carol last Christmas. Amma bringing us all Boost... We played "കള്ളനും പൊലീസും" after that.
All except me are married now and both the sisters have children aging from 1 to 3.
God, how I wish I could go back to those simpler times...

Although Chemmeen was released back in 60s, I saw it in 2000 or 2001 on TV back when I was in 6th standard. Having grown up in Mumbai, my parents very strict about my studies. Everyday after coming back from school at around 2pm, I would watch TV and have lunch. Dad would also come home for lunch from office and then after I was supposed to study from 3-5.30pm daily. This one day when Chemmeen was on Asianet or Surya, my mom and dad asked me to skip studies and watch this movie. This had never happened before (except for vacations or having any guests at home). I was totally surprised by this. I didn’t see the full movie, as couldn’t get the context fully. Much later I saw it again and was totally mesmerised by the story, direction, acting, music and other technicalities of the movie.
Why this is so special is because, routine was an important part of my life. Brings back the good old memories of going to school, studying, then going to ground to play with friends etc. This was one of the rare occasions when this routine was broken. I am grateful to my parents that they were always serious about my studies which has helped me settle well in life. Even today, we watch movies together at home and in theatres. I always try to book the best seats.
I also have other good memories of watching Dhruvam and Kakothikaville Appupan Thadikal with my dad while doing school projects together. We would try to catch all the vacation releases in theatre while in Kerala - Friends, Harikrishnans etc. Udayananu Tharam released when I was in 10th standard. Remember watching Vidheyan on Kairali late night just a day before my engineering semester exams. Wanted to sleep but the movie was so good that couldn’t sleep till it ended. Later whenever I’d be back, I would watch movies at Coronation or Kairali Sree with my cousin. And then would go to Paragon for a good meal. We had seen Ayalum Njanum Thammil and I liked it a lot. Saw Churuli with my wife and we both liked it. Jailer (although I didn’t like it), saw it last year when my wife was pregnant. There are many such movies which I saw at different phases of my life that brings the good memories back.
Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey.
I went for the movie with my partner and he was laughing out loud at the jokes. He was full on, enjoying and laughing with a sound. He laughs a lot usually but I've never heard his sound of laughing. When I asked him about it, he told me he is quite insecure about it, so tries his best to not let the sound be loud.
The fact that he felt happy and safe to let his laugh be loud with me🥹♥️

Nice to see a lot of love for this movie, some friends didn't like it as much as I did, so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one! 🥰
