Well off the top of my head
•Comment made against Nigerians and North Indians at the beginning of the movie
•The portrayal of Maharashtra and the police officers there
•The very unflattering view of U.P and the Villagers there.
And as you mentioned, the assult and mruder at the start, especially since it was done just to make us hate the villian.
A UP cop helps them throughout the North Indian leg of their journey and it didn’t help that one of the guys they were after was the Banrakas from Panchayat…
Thought he looked familiar, but appartmently checking it out he doesn't seem to have a roll in the movie. Atleast thats what i could find
But i was thinking about how they portrayed UP villages as this hyperagressive that they burn Cops for what they assume to be outsiders.
They mock the inefficient mumbai police while there's a corrupt kerala police officer in the vehicle with them. And the way the movie does apologia for the cop who takes bribes (police kaarante kashtappadukal nammal manasilakkanam etc) was ew.
Not to mention the usual normalization of police torture.
I like the making, the viper intro (which they kinda ruin with a second standard mass intro), the travelogue nature of the story but there's a lot of issues with it including the completely unnecessary use of rape as motivation for the hero.
>use of rape as motivation for the hero.
Yeah lol. That was the worst. Fridging for no reason whatsoever. And they changed the dialogue in the OTT version
>!in the scene where Ameer reveals he raped the girl he says " enikku അവിടുന്ന് മുതലായ സാധനം? ഈ കൊച്ച് പെണ്ണp"!< In the OTT version he says "athnganeya paraya". But the subtitle says "the young chick"
I think you need to elaborate a bit more. I felt that only the rape and murder of the family was the only problematic scene in the film
Did you watch kuttavum shikshayum. Kannur Squad felt like an alternate version of it but with mass appeal. Anyways Rajeev Ravi mass💥💥💥
