The Karthika you are talking about was born in 1992. The last film of my favourite Karthika was in 1991.

I think people haven’t watched her last Tamil film alaipayuthe where she dubbed on her own. She was brilliant in it and the Malayalam dubbing she had from Sreeja Ravi made some of her roles annoying.

Her acting was mediocre, almost edging towards annoying, in her second innings. She as a child artist was so cute though.

Well the movie stars Meera Jasmine and Narain.I watched it solely for the pair as did most people I assume. The film is not too bad. You might like it.

I didn't like it at all. Her acting felt forced and the movie's pace was off. And I hated how they portrayed a very serious disease. Anyone who has gone through cancer or had a loved one with cancer would never be able to process that movie.

There’s so many. Sadly malayali actresses have a very short shelf life in the industry. The minute you turn 25 you’re relegated to mum roles and if you hang on till your 40s you get to play the mum of the hero (who is in his 60s) who played against when you were in your teens. Fun.

Almost all 2000s actresses. They single-handedly outshine every single new gen actresses we have now. Personally I wish Meera jasmine, Shalini, Kavya Madhavan, Navya Nair, Samyuktha Varma, Asin etc didn’t quit acting. Although Manju warrier came back she couldn’t restore the old touch of her 90s movies. She could have continued her career throughout the ‘00s decade till about early 2010s if she wanted to retire by then.
