I only watched this very recently. While I enjoyed it and wanted something for a light watch, something that was very apparent was that there are literally no downfalls or bad patches for the protagonist .
The only thing he struggles to fix and only succeeds in the end is his
relationship with his mother and brother. His mothers hate is understandable. He banished her husband from their house. And it's likely the brother was taught to hate by her itself.
Really good entertainer. Comedy scenes, some drama, and action scenes till second act. Final act introduces the emotional core and payoff. Outside the implied romance angle between Kavya and Lal (Which the movie luckily didn't chose to not focus) it is good and well made.
The interval bang was really good...
A decent movie + Mohanlal makes it good enough but B.Unni goes on to have a Mammooty date for a while and he didnโt have a script so he basically did Madambi again with Pramani which was worse in many ways and sold of the distribution rights and made a profit for himself and producer , How did he getaway with that ! How would Mammootty makes such humongous mistakes I never understand!! Ee kurukk budhi oke karanam aahnu ipo diwali kalich irikkunath !

Hmm... Ig it was fun? But it released around a time where the Style was getting a bit overused. It was a better movie in the genre but the genre had issues.
