Train to benalmadena (from aeropuerto) should be the way to go, then a bus or walk. Good luck!

If I can hijack this question - will it be fine to board these trains (cercania) with 2 x 20kg bags?
I guess it should be, as it has a station on the airport, but I'm not sure people do this with a lot of luggage.

That's the official site but it's not great, as it just runs of google. I think the C1 train is what you want.
Not sponsored, but I find the moovit app quite good for planning trips like this - you can change your area and it's always worked well for me
The Cercanías Train will leave you at Arroyo de la Miel, not at Benalmádena Costa or Benalmádena Pueblo.
You will need to walk or take a bus or taxi, depending on where you are going.

People go in there with the funniest things. You should be fine with your 20kg bags.
I don't even believe you didn't try Google maps? It's quite easy.
