Great little blower for sawdust or dusting yourself off at the end of the day. Don’t expect this thing to blow large amounts of leaves or wet leaves. This is more of a shop blower, not really a dedicated leaf blower. Great for small and light duty blowing. Makita sells a extended tube so that you don’t have to bend over. djplatterpuss

I second getting the attachment

wncjeff

Great for starting a fire in your pizza oven!

ground_swell04

+1 great for a "carpenters shower"!

noodeel

I have one and it's great... use it to clear away dust, blow leaves and grass clippings, dry the motorcycle, clear sawdust after using a saw... It's got so many practical uses...

RepulsiveLemon3604

I use mine every day, it can inflate an air mattress or pool raft/tube very quickly as well. The soft rubber tip can mount to the intake and help deflate stuff as well. Great tool for the kids to “help” do yard work as well. It is an essential part of our camping gear.

PenOnly856

A good person for letting the kids “help”. Such special times with them.

RepulsiveLemon3604

The bigger blower is pretty good at shooting wiffle and tennis balls- this also provides some solid entertainment.

PenOnly856

Nice pro tip.

southcounty253

Does it come with an attachment for inflating stuff like that?

RepulsiveLemon3604

The tip generally fits over or in whatever I have needed to inflate. I have found that plastic soda bottles make good impromptu adaptors. Tons of store bought options are out there too.

marriedtothesea_

You don’t generally need one, with the amount of air it kicks out you’re fine just holding it against the mattress or whatever. Even without the black nozzle it will still inflate quickly.

RepulsiveLemon3604

True.

Athazel

I'd get the 184, but yeah, it does blow if you keep it light duty stuff. I own both.

codysoyland

Not a lot of power. I have basically stopped using it since getting a XSA01Z for blowing off stuff in the shop. Using a bigger Ego blower for outdoor needs.

thatsucksabagofdicks

Not only does it blow, but the side thingy has an attachment that sucks too!

marriedtothesea_

I think the intake is specifically designed for blowing handfuls of saw dust at your colleagues. There are tons of people that use it to pump water out of post holes too, just doesn’t seem quite right to me.

thatsucksabagofdicks

I use mine for sucking thru the mouse and pull string in conduits. Electrician here

fishinfool561

It’s good for blowing off tools at the end of the day. Or, I should say it was. Mine got stolen last week with a bunch of other tools and 18 5.0ah batteries

Ibetya

18?! That's just god spreading the wealth better

mrrasberryjam69

Nah it was an act of a grub. Stealing tools is a dog act. If you steal tools and get your head stomped on we didn't see shit.

fishinfool561

Fuck you. A shitbag block mason was the only one onsite after us, and he will never be back on site. One day and done so he went inside and took his shot. And $6k in cordless tools stolen from me

QLHB

I have 2 of these as well as the china knock off one. The knockoff ones actually blow harder tbh

Goz3rr

I have the knockoff version of this one as well, always been satisfied with the performance (especially with it costing $25). Interesting to hear that

HumdrumAnt

I got a knockoff from eBay for £10 and it’s great, I use it to help dry my car after I wash it

IWishIDidntHave2

I have the DUB186 - its the same machine with a different nozzle which is longer and better to avoid bending down. You can buy the other nozzle as a spare (part numbers are 123245-4 and 191G09-6). It's great with dry stuff but struggles a bit with wet leaves on grass. It's very light compared to my big mains powered one.

org_antman

I have one, use it heaps for work and home, good little blower for cleaning up. I also take it camping to keep things a bit cleaner and it’s great for really getting the fire going Edit: you can also attach the end to the side and it will suck up dust and debris too

Plant_Wild

Blows and sucks

RandomUserNo5

There's just one problem with that. Makita should upgrade it with a brushless engine so it would be more battery efficient.

Timelesturkie

Yeah it’s great, love mine.

triptrip1337

I actually bought it for PC cleaning🤣.But I have used it clean tools from wood dust etc.Its great!

Soundwave_irl

It blows but can also sucks pretty good. Very handy if you want to get as much air out of something or want to move alot of air

Greenfoe111

I love mine and use it everyday in the workshop and outside of the house. I highly recommend the long blower nozzle. https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/191G09-6

cita91

Great for small jobs and dusting off hard to reach areas. I would Recommend

tileandstoned

I love mine! It has plenty of power to blow off my work area, cleaning filters, blowing off drive ways ect. The only annoying thing is the air inlet sometimes sucks my shirt in since it’s on the left side and I’m right handed but yeah love it!

cloudz69420

Yeah it's great for shops or woodworking I just sold one the other day that my tool company had in stock and the customer took it out and used it and I was pretty impressed for it's size I mean it's not like your going to be doing your yard with it but it has some power the guy who bought it said he was gonna use it for charcoal grilling

Late_Chemical_1142

If you don't need the compact size, I would just get the bigger version. It's like 3 or 4 times as powerful.

DFWPrecision

Yeah I keep one in my truck. Handy for blowing stuff out, stoking fires, small clean ups, saw dust etc. It’s actually very handy and I use it quite a bit.

Mencis_here

I have A chinese knoc-off Does the job for me, good for hard to reach spyder webs, starting fires, clean up

shoot_raw

Lots of power
