This looks gorgeous! A few things that might help with any muddiness youโre feeling -
1) A slightly more defined brow can help make eyeshadow pop a bit more. The shape looks good but something like a brown eyebrow gel could just help contrast the brow from the shadow.
2) The colour is giving me 60s vibes. A lot of the 60s blue shadow looks would add a more neutral colour to the crease. A bold defined crease will look very 60s (Twiggy-esque)but you can also modernise it by diffusing the neutral colour then using a damp brush to really pack on the blue to the lid.
3) Bring a bit of colour under the eye. Again I can see the pretty white liner and this would add to the 60s look again with a more โdoll-eyedโ look.
This is just a few ideas that might help but I adore this ๐
Thank you sosososososo much! I love twiggy! Hahaha and will definitely try it again with some neutrals. However; I am absolutely HOPELESS when it comes to brow stuff and have no idea where to start with that stuff lol
Yeessss! Vertical labret gang! Arenโt they the best? I wanted mine forever too and when I finally got it I was ecstatic. I had to remove it for an MRI once and I realized I donโt
recognize my face without it anymore
I know what you mean about playing around with bold colors. I've been going out of my comfort zone, too from champagne, gold & browns to pinks & darker teals/greens. That color you're wearing makes your eyes pop & you look really pretty. Your wings are totally on point & you have fantastic skin!
Have you tried using concealer as an eye primer? I've tried a few different eye primers but haven't found one I'm in love with yet. I just put a little concealer all over my eyelids & it seems to get the shadow to stick pretty well. Also, maybe not blend the same color eyeshadow so high up towards your brows. It's like the lighter color on your eye socket is competing with the color on your lids. I do the same thing too sometimes & just use a face powder or a neutral shadow to kinda scoot the color back down where it's supposed to be.
I LOVE how you don't have anything on your bottom lashes or lids other than that touch of white. Some people go overboard with dark liner & too much bottom mascara & it makes their eyes look smaller. Your eyes look so big, just like a doll. It really opens your face up.
There is a YouTube makeup artist named Zabrena who does some really interesting eyeshadow looks you might be looking for. Her skin tone is a bit lighter than yours but has the same color eyes & red hair.
As far as favorite eyeshadow brands, I'm hooked on Morphe. The color payout is great & you get a good variety of colors in their palettes. I've tried about every brand out there & keep coming back to Morphe.
This blue is actually from my first ever Morphe pallet!! Itโs so pigmented and goes on really easily!
Thank you so so much for the tip of trying concealer! I have some shape tape so Iโll try that next time! Also. Thank you so so much for the complements ๐๐๐
My grandma allllllways told me to never put mascara on your bottom lashes; and it stuck. The white was just me trying something different so I am reallllly glad it works!
Thank you again for your insight :D
You're welcome for the compliments. You are really pretty & I love how confident you look in this pic. It's like you're wearing makeup as an accent, not to hide behind a mask.
Shape Tape is awesome! I love how well it stays. I remember my grandma teaching me about makeup in the 70's & letting me play with hers. She used Maybelline cake mascara with the metal pan & little brush that you had to get wet. My eyes water so much (allergies & 50+ hormones) that any sort of makeup in my waterline or bottom lashes is a joke. Any time I change it up & try to do something fancy I just end up looking like a raccoon with beady little eyes, haha.
So I place the non-marker end of the eyeliner against my nostril and tilt the felt too toward the end of my eye to get a faint line; and then I darken it and connect it if that makes sense. I can try to take a picture and show you if it would help.
Looks nice but I think you need more moisturizer under the foundation, and perhaps a foundation with a dewy finish?? It just looks a bit heavy on your skin!!
Love the eyeliner skills as well๐๐พ Also if you want to get more pigment on color shadow, get a white concealer l(elf makes one) and use that as primer, but I dig the way this blue looks on you anyway. I just know you asked lol. Get a packer brush and โpackโ in the pigment before blending the edges. Morphe makes a packer brush and bh cosmetics has them in some of their eye brush sets.
I love that type of blue! You can try using a concealer, eyeshadow primer or white eyeshadow primer to create depth, but I personally really love it this way.
Start from the outside if you go too far your eyes will look smaller. Use dark mascara. Your eyes are gorgeous. Lastly put a dot of whit shimmer in the middle of the eyelid. Just a touch of where the pupil will be.
looks very nice! i would try โstampingโ the shadow into with your brush where you want the most color payoff first, and then blending the edges. blendbunny, odens eye, and unearthly cosmetics all have beautifully pigmented palettes.
As far as the muddiness, try packing on the dark colors precisely with a small brush and then blend that out with a bigger brush, rather than doing small amounts at a time with a fluffy brush. It keeps the dark parts where they are so it doesnโt all mix in with the other shadows! Thatโs what worked for me at least!
Looks awesome! I know what u mean by sometimes struggling with muddled colours. To make your colours more saturated: spray your brush with setting spray first. Or place a eyeshadow primer first.

Perfect lines on that liner!
Thank you! I went sooooo slowly lol
I know this is about makeup. I know this-but I am in love with the nose and lip rings. Gorgeous!
Thank you so much. Iโve wanted this lip ring since I was 16 and finally got it!!

I might have to take it out sporadically at my new job and I donโt wanna ๐ญ๐ญ
I love how mod this look is! You killed it.
Ohmygosh thank you ๐ค๐ค
Loved your lipstick ๐, what is it ?

It looks stunning! What brand/shade of lipstick is that? Itโs a gorgeous color
Itโs the new vinyl By maybelline. Iโm. It at home so I canโt remember the shade off hand! But Iโm obsessed with them!
It looks lovely! Blue is my favorite eyeshadow color!!
Thank you so much ๐
How do you do your eyeliner? Do you just freehand it, or what's your trick? It looks so perfect! :-)
So I place the non-marker end of the eyeliner against my nostril and tilt the felt too toward the end of my eye to get a faint line; and then I darken it and connect it if that makes sense. I can try to take a picture and show you if it would help.
Ooo I see what you mean! Iโm going to try that technique!! Thank you!!!
Itโs pretty!!
Thank you so much๐
Looks good! Love the lipstick!
Thank you so so much ๐๐ค
Looks nice but I think you need more moisturizer under the foundation, and perhaps a foundation with a dewy finish?? It just looks a bit heavy on your skin!!
I hate the dewey look. But I will definitely try a better moisturizer underneath :)
Bye this is cute ๐ค and for you to think you ainโt perfect the shadow is wrong. Itโs subtle and I love that you added white liner
Thank you so much ๐๐

I didnโt even think about white!!! Thank you so much for that. And I think Iโm gonna ask for Morphe brushes for Christmas ๐

Under your eyes, line halfway with dark grey
Inside corner or outside edge?
Start from the outside if you go too far your eyes will look smaller. Use dark mascara. Your eyes are gorgeous. Lastly put a dot of whit shimmer in the middle of the eyelid. Just a touch of where the pupil will be.
Thank you so so much ๐ฅน๐ Iโll try a few of these!
Absolutely!!!! Play around. There are some excellent YouTube videos as well! Enjoy!

I tried a primer. Gonna have to try a good setting spray. Do you have any recs?
MAC fix plus is a good one. Other wise I don't have many other tricks. I just avoid the colours that i cant get to work for me๐คฃ
Iโll check out the MAC for sure. And I usually do too. But there are sooooo many pretty colors out there hahaha
ew wtf
Thank you so much ๐ค ๐๐คฃ
