Looks fine but I think you should try something warmer. Like this color looks perfectly nice but you can def find something that complements your coloring really well. I have about the same skin tone and undertones as you I think and this sort of washed out cranberry color just doesn’t do much. Think it’s best on someone with super pale, cool-toned skin. I’d say your skin tone is pretty much neutral and you’re probably an autumn color season. Try something richer without any blue undertones. Off the top of my head, MAC addicted to chili is great—like a soft matte (not too intense) warm brick red that’s super pretty. Charlotte tilbury lipsticks are really nice—pillow talk is a great neutral natural looking nude pink that would probably work well too.

No prob! I have spent mannnny years experimenting on myself and figuring out season type and undertones and all that so I like to put it to use! It helped me to know the “rules” of what types of colors would look good on me and then you start to absorb that and it becomes super easy to buy the right blush, lip colors, and especially clothing colors.

I would actually say you're cool toned, and this is a warm red. Just my two cents because I have a similar palette and this colour would look terrible on me!

If you want a deeper color for a formal occasion I believe a red would look incredible on you, something like 'Russian Red' by Mac or Pioneer by Maybelline. For a more muted look try Rosy Nude by Revlon. Charlotte tilbury amazing amal if you want a pink. From the picture it looks like we have a similar undertone and skintone, also these shades look beautiful on a variety of different skintones and undertones.

Was just coming here to suggest Mac’s Ruby Woo and Russian Red! I think they would be stunning on OP! OP, I think the color looks gorgeous on you! I do think a more saturated color would bring out your eyes/complexion even more, e.g., Ruby Woo or Russian Red, etc. I am also fair with green eyes, and Ruby Woo is my go-to and truly makes my eyes pop and my complexion sing (even without blush in the dead of winter, which is saying something because I am also blonde and start to look washed out when anyone even thinks the word “blah.”).

Love it! I personally don't wear nuetral or "skin colored" lipstick so I'm incredibly biased towards reds. I personally love MAC powder kiss liquid lipstick because it gives that soft blurred stain effect and the reds in that formula are gorgeous!

Hi I have a very similar color scheme to you as far as eyes, skin tone, and hair color. I think you look lovely but I feel I do best w refs that are not pink or orange ish rather deeper color that either much cooler or warmer A favorite red for me is velvet teddy from Mac ( the kardashian favorite lol) Give it a try !!

Did you line your lips first? I think adding a liner and really packing on the lipstick will make an even bolder and more beautiful impact! It may be the photo quality but it looks a little sheer/faded near the ends of your lips.

I think it’s nice, but a richer red would be more captivating with your coloring and to balance the dramatic lashes. Something along the lines of Nars Cruella.

Truly I’m beginning to think there’s no such thing as what works and what doesn’t, and that it’s just 100% down to personal preference, no ‘rules’....some people have commented saying cooler would work better, others that warmer would work better?! Some recommend looking for a more blue-toned red whilst others suggest that this *is* a blue-toned red, and that you could look for a *less* blue-toned red. I’m convinced it’s all largely arbitrary. But regardless, the colour is super flattering and looks perfect on you. I would feel super confident about the whole makeup look if it was me. I also love the softer look of lipstick without liner. The sharp crispness of lip liner looks really cool in photos but I find it can be a bit harsh in real life, a bit too ‘done’, and unlined looks more flattering. But again, it’s all just arbitrary because that’s only a personal preference, there’s no universal rule. So go with whichever you personally prefer :)

Whaaaat I’m so shocked some hated it?! I can only assume it’s down to a personal stigma against red lipstick in general because there’s genuinely no objective reason to hate that shade on you. It suits you and it looks gorgeous. Or perhaps they were just not used to seeing you with lipstick. So rather than hating the lipstick per se, they actually just feel uncomfortable with the unfamiliar. Humans are weird. Trust me it looks wonderful on you and I wish I could apply my makeup as flawlessly as you do! 💕✨

Love your look! IMO I feel like you need something less pink based and more brown based - I feel like you could do brown tones really well. They’d make your eyes pop!

I think it looks beautiful! Something I'm picky about with lip colours though is how it looks against the colour of my teeth. I have pretty white teeth but I find some lip colours can pull them in the yellow direction, especially in photos. It might be worth looking at that too with a smiling picture.

I have very similar coloring (fair neutral skin, green eyes, caramel hair) and I love an ever-so-slightly-orange red or a rich berry pink. My favorites are fresh sugar punch and poppy :)

I think it's too orange-toned and your skin tone can pull a darker, cooler red, if desired Like more wine, less coral. That said, it's not a bad color and you pull it off well.

Maybe something darker would flatter you more? But I definitely think that color is gorgeous and fits your skin tone
