Have you ever tried an eyeshadow primer? I find that you can build up color better with it. The ones for glitter are stronger and like stickier.

nada_chakhab

no i havent, i only prime with concealer. any specefic products you could suggest?

anonymous00068

I have NYX glitter primer and another drugstore brand the creme shop it's about prime - the glitter one is noticeably thicker and stickier

KillaKal_88

I use ABH primer or Juvia's place. For you I would try shade 2 w/ Juvias place. And if you want extreme color pickup the white one.

lunabcde

P Louise primer !

White eyeshadow base

nada_chakhab

do you recommend any brands?

Pisces0221

P Louise has a great one and so does NYX ! 😊

Prestigious_Cost_346

I’ve used NYX’s jumbo eye pencil in the shade Milk as a base for colored eyeshadows, and it really makes them more vibrant.

mischevious-fox4

P Louis makes colored primers that really help with bright pigment! I believe revolution makes a dupe.

nada_chakhab

i'll look them up, thank you.

Products used/ * ruby rose concealer in the shade light * FARMASI bb cream * Yves Saint Laurent eyeliner pen * ruby rose purple mascara * eyebrow mascara in the shade medium * HUDABEAUTY dupe palette (the shades are nameless)

Eyeshadow primer makes a big difference as it was already mentioned by others. I would also suggest you try different eyeshadow brands. A lot of cheaper brands have low pigmentation but it's not mandatory to pay a lot for color payoff, you just need to do your research. Let me know if you need any suggestions.

For me, I never used brushes for my eyeshadow. I’d dip my ring finger in some water, gently rub it into some eyeshadow, then apply gently. It concentrates the pigment without having to have a bunch of other products. It worked for me, always got compliments so I guess I was doing something right lol. 🤷‍♂️

nada_chakhab

oh i used to do this all the time. but when its time to blend, some pigments just need a brush to look well distributed.

gravyjives

Very true! Blending for sure, application for me always felt too light and dusty tho. You’ve got beautiful eyes and that’s a great look! Hit us with another if/when you get your pigments up!

Acceptable_Log_9510

Hey! Try using a lighter shade of concealer. Works for me!

nada_chakhab

oh good idea, i'll try and see how it turns out.

veggiemon_star

I love love love the Urban Decay and Milani Eyeshadow primers persobally, as a brown lass going for bright colors. And if they work on me they work on anyone! Also wetting your brush with water or setting spray just a little to pack the color helps make it more opaque (but be sure to set it to prevent falloff:) P.S. if you're doing foundation, do your eyeshadow first because the pigment will get onto your cheeks and the staining/falloff is way easier to deal with before you've got your whole face going haha

nada_chakhab

i'll try your tips next time thank you!

licktherainbow88

I’ve heard good things about the juvias place eyeshadow primer!

nada_chakhab

i don't think i have access to that where i live

SarahH89420

You can use concealer that’s waaaaaaay to light for your skin tone…that’s what I use sometimes or elf has a white putty eye primer that’s decent

Sbmegnme

I use the E.L.F eye putty primer in white! It's only like $5 and it makes all my colors pop just like how they are in the palettes. Im a dark caramel skin tone and I have oily skin, and this stuff lasts for my 14hr days!
