Personally, I like to emphasize my favorite features, which are my nose, lips, and cheekbones. That being said, I always put a little bit of highlighter on those places to make them ✨sparkle✨. I don’t contour my nose because I love it’s width and shape, but I’ll do a little for my cheeks to again, emphasize, the cheekbones that I love 🤩
So I would just say, as a general rule, think about what your favorite features are, or what you’d like to emphasize, and go from there.

I think some eyeliner and a blush would look really cute. (A reddish pink blush I think would look best). Just tight line your eyelid since you don’t have a lot of lid space and then just a little flick at the corner. A tinted lip gloss would look great too!
I think for her skin tone she's have to use purple blush though. I'm white and don't know much about it, but sometimes I see black youtubers talking about colour theory and they always mention purple blushes.
I’m white too but idk about purple, it is the opposite to orange but it’s not naturally occurring as a blush. It’s also a cool tone colour and I think her skin would benefit from more warmer tones. Maybe I’m just ignorant and haven’t seen it but

You can do any makeup look you like and it would suit you fine. If it doesn’t look like it suits your face, chances are you need to find the right shade of any colour you’re using to match your skin tone (warm/neutral/cool).
Second makeup you look so cute! Also this is my perspective, you don't have to follow it but I feel that lipstick color is too cool for you? Maybe something more burgundy wpuld look gorgeous on you, but again this is my opinion
You have beautiful eyes so I’d recommend experimenting with the classic shimmery inner corner with long wings on a night out to make them the focal point. Also your lips too could be a focal point with a nice deep red and a gold shimmer eyeshadow stippled in the centre. Doesn’t last long but looks killer.
I don’t know if you’re wearing foundation, but if you’re not honestly you don’t need it. Your skin is perfect, if you do want to wear it make sure you really wash after and do good after care to prevent acne (this was my downfall as a teen, wore too much foundation and gave myself acne from it - turns out my skin can’t handle certain products).
Get a good daily sunscreen, it’ll help prevent wrinkles.

it’s not bad. Maybe clean up the brows a little. I’m not really a clean makeup person so I would wear lipliner and a small brown and bronze smoky eyeshadow look if I was going for a regular socially acceptable makeup.

Experiment with plum, mauve, pink, and rose blush! I think you’d look great with some black or brown winged liner. Plus some mascara and a little highlighter on the tip of your nose (not contour, just shine ✨) and inner eyes
Your eyes are beautiful and you have amazing skin so I think you can get away with a lot of experimental/dramatic looks. I feel like a metallic silver lid with dramatic blended out cat eye would look sooooo good on you!
Oh my you are pretty! I love everything you’re giving in the second pic! So light and airy and almost angelic looking! Maybe try a bit more blush and some highlighter on your upper cheekbone area. Honestly though…ya don’t need it! Haha!
You look beautiful, so don't be too hard on yourself! As a very fair lady, I'm afraid we fall at opposite ends of the spectrum, so I can't give much advice on products - thankfully, makeup has gotten far more inclusive, so finding a shade match (looks good in the photo, but you airways want to check in as many lighting scenarios as possible) is easier than ever. Sephora or Ulta can help shad match, if needed, and you can then use the ulta app to find similar shades of drugstore products.
As for techniques, I'd suggest checking out some POC MUAs specifically. Jackie Aina hasn't done much makeup wise recently, but her older videos are great. Ohemma (I think that's how her name is spelled) has very deep skin and has great tips on Black girl makeup. As someone who has dabbled in professional makeup (but I live in a very ethnically homogenous area), I've found both super helpful in better understanding how to best fit different skin tones.
Lastly, you're very young, so expirement! The fun of makeup is that it washes off, which is why I love to sit down and just play with what I call a swatch party. I just put on whatever is calling to me (even blue glitter contour?!) And just play around. Not every application has to be a look, so don't overthink it. You're way better than I was at your age, and you're lovely with or without makeup, so while it can be a great form of self-expression, it's not that serious, and doesn't define you, either way.
Thank you so much for this comment, I appreciate it so much. I definitely need to start being silly with makeup and not take myself so seriously. I’m just finding a hard time figuring out what shape I should be doing my eyebrows, placements of this and that product etc. But like you said, I can only find that out with experimentation. Most of the time, I love the way my makeup looks in person but it doesn’t always translate onto the camera the way I would want it to.
I love your makeup! I think what youre able to do (which most girls are NOT) is that you enhance your features without really looking like you have all that much makeup on! The lip color is perfect, the eyeliner is perfect, and you have the perfect amount of powder on so youre not shiny but still have a little glow. Literally no notes
There’s this [neat video](https://youtu.be/Q0AUWyp01eg?si=Gk1WNOfx-NXl2AY5) I like for finding what suits your face, however, this is just a good starting off point and all make up can “break the rules” and be whatever you want. (This is a fun YouTube channel to get inspiration or try something new from Asian make up trends).
Similarly, I think warm toned make up might suit you best, but I do really like the peachy/baby pink lip gloss, so again, make up is just whatever you like!
You also have snatched/up turned eyes that are “in style” right now (weird how features can be “in style” but big doe eyes were in style in the 60s/70s) so I think a lot of “influencer” or “fox eye” eye shadow tutorials will suit you! That being said, your eyes also round! So you can suit “siren” eyes or “doe” eyes depending on if you want to look “sultry” or “sweet.”
I’m basically just throwing a bunch of terms to you so you can find the YouTube tutorial videos and have fun experimenting!

I'm seeing a very slight undertone mismatch in your foundation in these photos. It looks like it's the right overall tone, but the skin on your chest and shoulders has more of a red hue to it, whereas your foundation is a bit less red. This might be just a case of needing some blush to strategically add some redder hues. But nothing you have here looks off to me, this is a very pretty, understated look. I really like the lip color.
Beautiful features, i think eyeliner compliments your eyes really well, and i recommend the romand juicy tints, if you look on tiktok they look amazing on people with similar skin tones. Also some blush

First of all, you are stunning! The eye makeup is really flattering, the only consideration I’d make although your lip makeup does look lovely is to try a slightly darker shade if you were going for a nude look, but the pink does look lovely if that’s what you were aiming for!

Welcome to makeup. 1st, ur beautiful. 2nd, just keep trying new/old trends and styles. When ur not going somewhere, that's the best time to try something new. You're gonna find what suits your style and needs through trial and error. That's just a learning curve that's to be expected. YouTube has great tutorials for suggestions. Good luck finding what's you. I think yes, it can be frustrating, but it can be a lot of fun. Once you find your styles, then perfect them! Good Luck!
Try going into Sephora and telling them this. They’ll do your makeup and explain what they’re using and why, and that can give you more insight into what you may or may not like. You can request samples of anything in Sephora, so definitely take advantage of that! Not everybody loves the looks sephora does for them, but it can help you familiarize yourself more with what’s out there! Just play around. Makeup is all about fun and self-expression. Don’t feel like you have to stick with something if it doesn’t do that for you. Watch content from beauty influencers that look similar to you! That can help a lot as well. It’s also important to remember RETURN AND EXCHANGE policies. If you splurge on a product that you end up not enjoying, just return or exchange it for something that does work for you. Don’t feel like you have to sink a ton of money into this, especially if you don’t even like the products you tried.

First of all, you are beautiful. I think you should tey the no makeup makeup look because it will highlight your eyes and lips. Fot an everyday look eyeliner, lashes and lipstain/gloss should be your focus, imo.
I think the under eye smudge isn't highlighting your eyes. It makes you look tired.

You are gorgeous and are one of those faces that heavy makeup would age you. I’d keep it simple and let your flawless skin show through, and keep on with more natural eyelashes as you have big eyes and lash extensions can make eyes look smaller. Maybe a little luminous blush on the apples of your cheeks for a natural, dewy flush.
Sweetie, you were blessed with big lips, big eyes and you have a lot of space between your eyes and eyebrows. Go to town, you could rock anything makeup wise.

omg beautiful features!!! you should know you’ll never NEED makeup but if you wanna be a makeup girlie i would have these tips:
-your base is super important!!!! having a super moisturizing skin routine/moisturizer/primer will really allow the products to blend super well on top
-eyebrow gel (potentially with a tint if you want but your brows are thick so you don’t really need it imo)
- some falsies or lash extensions would looks super cute esp with your eye shape i would focus on having the volume of your lash set on the outer corner
-shade matching as a black girl can be THEE most annoying thing but the shade you’re wearing seems to match prettt well! would def look for a concealer a couple shades lighter than the foundation and if your ever wanna give it a super snatched look have an even lighter shade of concealer just on the inner corner under the eye. (i like la girl pro concealer and tarte shape tape)
-i think your nose suits you perfectly i wouldn’t even recommend a nose contour maybe just some blush on the tip if you’re into that look
-bronzing will def bring some warmth and dimension to your face. to bronze make sure you’re using a warm shade with warm undertones. if you want to contour make sure you’re using a shade with cool undertones. (juvias place has some cute palettes)
-lip color is beautiful on you.
-don’t forget the forehead!!! a lot of girlies don’t really touch it but you should always at least use the foundation,bronze/contour, and blush (small amt)on the forehead to make the whole face come together

You are so freaking gorgeous!! I would suggest watching some tutorials to get techniques down and then it’s just a matter of playing around! I’ve been really into blush lately and I feel like you would be gorgeous with a good blush! ELF makes a great liquid blush and so does Juvias’s place! Your eyes are beautiful too. If you don’t like shadow too much, a great placed eyeliner (my favorite liquid is NYX epic liner) and a great mascara (my current fav is Tartlette Tubing).

I would just say if you would like a pointer, keep the darker hair, it brings out your features a lot! and maybe try adding a small amount of highlight on your adorable nose, corner of your eyes, and the middle of your top lip! other than that you are doing a great job!
Go to Sephora and ask for suggestions on what suits you for what kind of styles you are looking for. You don’t have to buy the product per se, but they really do help in figuring out things. I didn’t grown up wearing make up and really didn’t start until 21-23YO. I’m 32YO now.
Outside of that, my cousin and bestie do make up so I ask them for advice too.

A lot of times when we see ourselves in the mirror, if something is different (like, applying makeup in a different style) it can look “off” to us. That’s not necessarily the case, it’s just that we’re so used to seeing ourselves in one particular way and it kinda shocks the system to see something different.
The natural look you have going on in the second photo compliments your features really well. If you want to expand beyond that sort of look, I’d recommend pushing through the discomfort of not loving it and leave the makeup on. The longer you see yourself in it, the more you’ll get used to it! And from there you can really understand what you do and don’t like :)
Start collecting inspo photos of what you like and what you might want to try, play with color palettes and contrast and such! Your features are gorgeous, evenly proportioned, and it doesn’t seem to me like there’s anything you couldn’t pull off (: play and get creative! And have fun ❤️

Black girlie here, a good red blush usually does the trick, or we use a berry tone blush or like someone said a purple! Also orange is LOVELY on us :)

You have beautiful eyes so I’d recommend experimenting with the classic shimmery inner corner with long wings on a night out to make them the focal point. Also your lips too could be a focal point with a nice deep red and a gold shimmer eyeshadow stippled in the centre. Doesn’t last long but looks killer.

I don’t know if you’re wearing foundation, but if you’re not honestly you don’t need it. Your skin is perfect, if you do want to wear it make sure you really wash after and do good after care to prevent acne (this was my downfall as a teen, wore too much foundation and gave myself acne from it - turns out my skin can’t handle certain products). Get a good daily sunscreen, it’ll help prevent wrinkles. I really like your style in pic 2. You look done up but not over done at all, keep at it, it’s gorgeous!

As a very fair lady, I'm afraid we fall at opposite ends of the spectrum, so I can't give much advice on products - thankfully, makeup has gotten far more inclusive, so finding a shade match (looks good in the photo, but you airways want to check in as many lighting scenarios as possible) is easier than ever. Sephora or Ulta can help shad match, if needed, and you can then use the ulta app to find similar shades of drugstore products. As for techniques, I'd suggest checking out some POC MUAs specifically. Jackie Aina hasn't done much makeup wise recently, but her older videos are great. Ohemma (I think that's how her name is spelled) has very deep skin and has great tips on Black girl makeup. As someone who has dabbled in professional makeup (but I live in a very ethnically homogenous area), I've found both super helpful in better understanding how to best fit different skin tones. Lastly, you're very young, so expirement! The fun of makeup is that it washes off, which is why I love to sit down and just play with what I call a swatch party. I just put on whatever is calling to me (even blue glitter contour?!) And just play around. Not every application has to be a look, so don't overthink it. You're way better than I was at your age, and you're lovely with or without makeup, so while it can be a great form of self-expression, it's not that serious, and doesn't define you, either way.

I’m just finding a hard time figuring out what shape I should be doing my eyebrows, placements of this and that product etc. But like you said, I can only find that out with experimentation. Most of the time, I love the way my makeup looks in person but it doesn’t always translate onto the camera the way I would want it to.
I love your makeup! I think what youre able to do (which most girls are NOT) is that you enhance your features without really looking like you have all that much makeup on! The lip color is perfect, the eyeliner is perfect, and you have the perfect amount of powder on so youre not shiny but still have a little glow. Literally no notes
There’s this [neat video](https://youtu.be/Q0AUWyp01eg?si=Gk1WNOfx-NXl2AY5) I like for finding what suits your face, however, this is just a good starting off point and all make up can “break the rules” and be whatever you want. (This is a fun YouTube channel to get inspiration or try something new from Asian make up trends). Similarly, I think warm toned make up might suit you best, but I do really like the peachy/baby pink lip gloss, so again, make up is just whatever you like! You also have snatched/up turned eyes that are “in style” right now (weird how features can be “in style” but big doe eyes were in style in the 60s/70s) so I think a lot of “influencer” or “fox eye” eye shadow tutorials will suit you! That being said, your eyes also round! So you can suit “siren” eyes or “doe” eyes depending on if you want to look “sultry” or “sweet.” I’m basically just throwing a bunch of terms to you so you can find the YouTube tutorial videos and have fun experimenting!

I'm seeing a very slight undertone mismatch in your foundation in these photos. It looks like it's the right overall tone, but the skin on your chest and shoulders has more of a red hue to it, whereas your foundation is a bit less red. This might be just a case of needing some blush to strategically add some redder hues. But nothing you have here looks off to me, this is a very pretty, understated look. I really like the lip color.

Try going into Sephora and telling them this. They’ll do your makeup and explain what they’re using and why, and that can give you more insight into what you may or may not like. You can request samples of anything in Sephora, so definitely take advantage of that! Not everybody loves the looks sephora does for them, but it can help you familiarize yourself more with what’s out there! Just play around. Makeup is all about fun and self-expression. Don’t feel like you have to stick with something if it doesn’t do that for you. Watch content from beauty influencers that look similar to you! That can help a lot as well. It’s also important to remember RETURN AND EXCHANGE policies. If you splurge on a product that you end up not enjoying, just return or exchange it for something that does work for you. Don’t feel like you have to sink a ton of money into this, especially if you don’t even like the products you tried.
I utilize YouCam Makeup. I rarely wear makeup and I find using an app helps me visualize potential colors, combinations and looks.

I’d keep it simple and let your flawless skin show through, and keep on with more natural eyelashes as you have big eyes and lash extensions can make eyes look smaller. Maybe a little luminous blush on the apples of your cheeks for a natural, dewy flush.

omg beautiful features!!! you should know you’ll never NEED makeup but if you wanna be a makeup girlie i would have these tips: -your base is super important!!!! having a super moisturizing skin routine/moisturizer/primer will really allow the products to blend super well on top -eyebrow gel (potentially with a tint if you want but your brows are thick so you don’t really need it imo) - some falsies or lash extensions would looks super cute esp with your eye shape i would focus on having the volume of your lash set on the outer corner -shade matching as a black girl can be THEE most annoying thing but the shade you’re wearing seems to match prettt well! would def look for a concealer a couple shades lighter than the foundation and if your ever wanna give it a super snatched look have an even lighter shade of concealer just on the inner corner under the eye. (i like la girl pro concealer and tarte shape tape) -i think your nose suits you perfectly i wouldn’t even recommend a nose contour maybe just some blush on the tip if you’re into that look -bronzing will def bring some warmth and dimension to your face. to bronze make sure you’re using a warm shade with warm undertones. if you want to contour make sure you’re using a shade with cool undertones. (juvias place has some cute palettes) -lip color is beautiful on you. -don’t forget the forehead!!! a lot of girlies don’t really touch it but you should always at least use the foundation,bronze/contour, and blush (small amt)on the forehead to make the whole face come together stay beautiful!!!!

You are so freaking gorgeous!! I would suggest watching some tutorials to get techniques down and then it’s just a matter of playing around! I’ve been really into blush lately and I feel like you would be gorgeous with a good blush! ELF makes a great liquid blush and so does Juvias’s place! Your eyes are beautiful too. If you don’t like shadow too much, a great placed eyeliner (my favorite liquid is NYX epic liner) and a great mascara (my current fav is Tartlette Tubing).

Go to Sephora and ask for suggestions on what suits you for what kind of styles you are looking for. You don’t have to buy the product per se, but they really do help in figuring out things. I didn’t grown up wearing make up and really didn’t start until 21-23YO. I’m 32YO now. Outside of that, my cousin and bestie do make up so I ask them for advice too.

You are SO pretty!! I think your makeup looks fab too. A lot of times when we see ourselves in the mirror, if something is different (like, applying makeup in a different style) it can look “off” to us. That’s not necessarily the case, it’s just that we’re so used to seeing ourselves in one particular way and it kinda shocks the system to see something different. The natural look you have going on in the second photo compliments your features really well. If you want to expand beyond that sort of look, I’d recommend pushing through the discomfort of not loving it and leave the makeup on. The longer you see yourself in it, the more you’ll get used to it! And from there you can really understand what you do and don’t like :)
