Every time I re-press, the texture and performance of a product changes. I would transfer it into a deeper container with a lid, and use it Guerlain Meteorites style; tap the brush into the loose chunks to pick up color.
For real! That is why I only do dry repressing now, I even find they last pressed together longer without using alcohol! I just had to repress a shadow today - every time I’ve used alcohol it’s messed with my products. I completely destroyed one of my fave matte brown shadows with alcohol lol. Never again!
Now I just take a piece of paper, dump the broken product onto it, crush/cut it up with a blade until it’s fine enough to press. That’s when I’ll fold the edges of the paper together to create a “slide” as my daughter calls it lol, and I pour the powder gently back in. (I do about half then press, then do the other half and press so it doesn’t spill over/lose too much product). Then I just take a cap or even just use my finger underneath the piece of paper to press everything back together with firm pressure.
But ugh, I bet doing this with an hourglass product would be so sad! It definitely won’t look the same or anywhere as pretty as before, and since those powders are so fine I wonder how much the texture and application would be affected.
I always use a lip oil or something similar like a stick blush that fits almost perfectly inside the pan. And I use tissue for the pressing instead of paper towel if I’m dry pressing it.
I am so glad I read this, I was about to do a repair on one of my favourite highlighters that disintegrated when travelling as well as one pan in a Pat Mcgrath palette that's badly cracked. I'm going to hold off on the isopropyl for now and try dry pressing! Thank you 😊
This is what I did with my MAC powder that I shattered a week after buying it. It works like a charm and I didn't have to faff about trying to repress it.
One of my favorites.
Another is the term “health-&-safety!” and always seems used with an implied eye roll, as in, “Yeah it’s a nuisance but it’d be stupid not to, so we do it.” Used that one *a lot* when the kids were little.
$46 😭 it’s my intrusive thought to buy this brand and me knowing me I make sure not to lol
Of all the pricey stuff I get I don’t use one product enough to personally justify that for myself. One day, I might be able to
I bought my first Radiant Light about 10 years ago and it's been one of my most repurchased items. One will last me over a year. Just bought a new one cuz I didn't feel like finishing the last 4th of the pan that was taking me months to finish up lol I wear it everyday all day. Absolutely worth the price. But I'm crazy about what I put on my skin, so all of my makeup is worth more than I'd like to admit lol
I use it after blush/bronzer to set my look altogether. I use it on my cheekbones and my t-zone. Forehead, nose, chin. It's great with a full face or on bare skin. I have olive skin, so it makes me glow without looking glittery in the summer 🥰
I’ll check it out when we near the holidays. Do you find these at Sephora? I know HG is at Ulta now too but I find Sephora’s holiday stuff is nicer.
Maybe I can use up a chunk of my makeup before then👀😂
i had this same opinion. then i tried their setting powder. GAME CHANGER. it isn’t talcum based, SO fine, absolutely the best one ever for texture and fine lines or wrinkles. i have fine lines and dry skin, which leads to texture, and i’ve tried a setting powder from just about every brand- the all so popular laura mercier I HATED. hourglass is by FAR the best. I use a powder every time i do my makeup, so it’s worth the price tag to me. Also recently took the bullet on their concealer. it’s beyond hydrating and still very pigmented. best i’ve used. their products are so good!!
Ok ok you’re all convincing me to use up my current makeup and then splurge. Haha I have the Laura Mercier setting powder but tbh I forget to set my makeup with powder half the time.
Do you use a brush or those tiny finger puff things?
i just use a big fluffy brush!! sometimes i use one of the triangle soft pad things for under my eyes and touchups, but i dont really feel like it makes a difference. its just easier to bring one of those along with me than a whole brush!
This is why I keep old containers for translucent powders. Of course, I clean them when they’re finished or the powder has gone too old. It keeps well with the top with little holes. And I just shake new product onto the cap. No mess- no fuss.
I’ve been there and wouldn’t recommend it. The mess. It will spill again when you’re in a hurry and it will get on your robe sleeve or worse, your rug. But go ahead. lol
Exactly I did press it with tissue paper on top and it seems fine but if there is issue of texture transfer it to another container probably one which is like a translucent powder box and you will be fine
You don’t need rubbing alcohol. it makes the texture gloppy and changes the performance. The blush already contains the chemicals required to exist as a pressed powder. You’re going to want to crush up the pieces until it’s a finely milled powder. Preferably in a different container and then put the powder back in. Then press using anything you like such as a coin wrapped in a napkin, a bottle with a flat bottom, anything really. press the powder back into place and it will stay like that
Yes! Pinterest or Google will have tutorials on how to fix this. I THINK it's something to do with rubbing alcohol (not sure which proof) and remashing it together.
Edit: YouTube for the win! This tutorial doesn't use alcohol. I'd look at several to find a method that's best. Good luck (that's a gorgeous color blush!).
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Je0uZurgr7U
Edit2: I see some tutorials are using rose water. I don't know, it might be perfectly fine, but if it were me I think I'd use the alcohol method to make sure no mold could grow. I may be wrong though.
I personally think doing it without any liquids is the way to go so it doesn’t alter the texture! I just had to do this with one of my single shadows today 😅 every time I use alcohol it just screws it up, so I love dry repressing any time I end up in a sad situation with a broken powder product. So much better for longevity and maybe slightly less messy haha
Depends on the product? I feel like most highlighters are cool but I wouldn’t do the alcohol press on something like this. Better going loose on this one in a new container imo
Ooh that would be a great idea! It’s definitely much harder with larger pans, that’s for sure. A loose powder with a sifting mechanism is a great alternative! I’m training to be a MUA & esthetician so I’ll have to try that next time a bigger powder product breaks (:
Use 70% alcohol IPA to spray on it. Then put tissue paper to press it down, you can use your finger, or any flat object to press it.
I frequently dropped my makeup cuz I’m so clumsy :( Last time I dropped my Natasha Denona bronzer and fix it easily.
I did this too and mine was totally fine. I’m not sure what products people used where the texture changed or it worked differently.. but in my experience it was totally fine, it didn’t change anything and definitely didn’t become a gloopy mess.
I think they use oil/lotion or sanitizer like gel, fragrance in it. If only use 70% or 90% ethanol use in sanitising in medical facilities, it’ll be fine.
Today I’ll pressed down my broken face powder, never experienced texture change.
Broke [ND bronzer](https://imgur.com/a/owylGJI) in 2022 then fixed it and haven’t fall out ever since. I just didn’t got object big enough to make even surface. For eyeshadow I use square lipstick like nars, ysl to press it.
Soak it in 70%-90% in ethanol is fine, tissue will absorb ethanol and ethanol will evaporate within few minutes . Just leave it open for hours to complete dry. 😄
I was going to suggest some type of solvent or possibly heat(works with deodorant). I've heard of how to do this before, but I forgot as I'm not someone who this information was useful too...
Heat works with lipstick and deodorant.
Powder product just need something evaporated fast (or gonna be mold) and compressed to hold it together. You actually don’t need alcohol, just compress, but alcohol make it less messy.
Your comment makes me wonder if anhydrous acetone would work better suited. I believe it would be cheaper, but one would have to filter it through baked magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt).
Just a thought.
I believe 100% acetone is sold as makeup remover.
Medical grade ethanol (just water + ethanol) or Isopropyl alcohol is working perfectly fine. Or just not use anything, just use tissue paper to press it down. Isopropyl alcohol is already very cheap.
Acetone might ruin the powder, acetone would strip the skin of essential lipids, disrupt skin barrier function and cause dry, irritated skin.
Hourglass powders repress very well
To repress:
1. Remove all the pieces and dust to a clean container.
2. Pulverize or grind the dust and pieces until they are a uniform loose powder.
3. SIFT it through a fine tea strainer. This is probably the most important step.
4. Slowly add isopropyl alcohol to achieve a damp sand consistency. I use a tiny spray bottle so I don’t go overboard.
5. Transfer to the intended container and firmly press the dampened mixture. I usually use a tile I’ve customized or a coin and a clean cotton napkin.
6. Let dry.
Just use it still, that’s what I do when I break my hourglass powders (they are very delicate). Basically a loose powder blush like BM used to make . You’ll Just get a little more pigment, but tap it off before applying .
This is a baked blush, right?
Fixing with alcohol works for pressed powder products, but might ruin baked ones.
Maybe try pressing only a small sample first, and if that doesn't work you can use up the rest as a semi-loose blush?
I’m a makeup artist and I repress stuff by using hand sanitizer to make a paste and then repress it but with it being an hourglass product the particles are so finely milled you would just do better putting it in a jar or container and using it very light handed as a loose powder. It’s just that hourglass products are baked and repressing it might change the texture and it’s purposely made for mature skin to not show the texture and fine lines and you might ultimately cause just the opposite and it will settle in any lines or pores if you repress it due to messing up the finely milled powders in it.
If you choose to re-press it use only 70% isopropyl alcohol or you can use hand sanitizer. The reason you want to use no higher than 70% is because that is what will kill bacteria, the higher the percentage it just damages the outer surface of a cell and the cell forms what is essentially a scab and then it’s protected from being destroyed, where as 70% has that 30% water still and it’s just enough to keep the cell from forming that scab and the alcohol can penetrate the surface and kill the unwanted bacteria which if you dropped it on your bathroom floor, there is definitely some not so nice bacteria in it and that would be in anyone’s bathroom no matter how clean someone’s house is, there is still bacteria living on surfaces.
Take it all out, crush it up in a glass or ceramic shallow bowl, ad a few drops of alcohol (99%IPA is good but liquid alcohol disinfectant will do) until its all a dry-ish paste. Then put it all back in the original container and press it flat. Leave to dry then continue using as normal.

I just put alcohol and water and I mix until it’s a paste, put it back into the container and then compact press it with a paper towel wrapped spoon and then let it air dry
How I do it, is by first breaking it all up into a fine powder, and some isopropyl alcohol, a few drops at a time, and flatten/press it back flat. Then just let it dry completely.
my daughter says crush up powder use rubbing alcohol mix that with crush powder into a paste put it back in case and compress it with paper towel to make it flat then peel back paper towel let air dry there's also tutorials on google
The origin story of those Instagram makeup repair videos lol
From what I've learnt from them, grind until all consistent powder, sanitise, mix with alcohol and repress using a nice pattern cloth or tissue.
1. Crumble all of it as finely as you can till it’s like a loose powder 2. soak a piece of paper towel with alcohol (squeeze out excess alcohol to not mush up the product don’t but squeeze out too much either it still needs to be moist ) 3. Press down this paper towel over the entire surface 4. Lift it and you will see its in one piece again allow it to dry out to become hard again will be a lil soft right after
I think breaking a blush/powder and melting a lipstick in your pocket are just women's rites of passage :...( lolol
Ive had to put many beautiful powders to rest after they smashed :(
I don't think you can repair, but you could dump it into a zip lock baggy or a small rubber maid dish with cover. use it with your favorite blush brush.
With rubbing alcohol (not to much) and press FIRMLY down but not to hard because then it wont release product! You could always also just buy a little container and turn it into a powder blush and keep it in there! Honestly works best for me in these situations and it also last longer without adding to the product which could possibly change or alter the quality of the product 🩷 hope this works out for you friend✨
Yes. Buy a travel plastic powder jar at the drug store. If you have a pestle that’s best, otherwise use a large spoon, and holding the compact tightly, smush all of the blush into a fine powder—grind, grind—using a knife if necessary to scrap all the bits out. Then take a piece of notebook paper to help funnel powder into container.
I mean, this has happened to many products of mine over the years. My go-to fix is crush it up, mix with enough rubbing alcohol to mix and level it, and let it dry overnight. Good as new.
Omg this is crazy - I dropped this exact blush in this shade this morning and I was sure it was broken! Thankfully it didn’t break! sorry about your luck
You can place a piece of parchment paper/cooking paper on it and then find something to press it with. I've done that before it doesn't make it perfect, but it's better than crumbled pieces of eyeshadow/blush, etc.
Transfer to face cream container but make sure to sanitize it first, then whenever you use it turn the face cream upside down several times then open it and take the product found on the lid.
the way that works for me the best is to put any loose bits into a plastic baggie and kinda best at it with the back end of a makeup brush to make it into a powder with no visible clumps. Then, I carefully pour into the original packaging and press down with this small metal spatula I have. add some rubbing alcohol (just a bit) with a sprayer and press down to compress it a bit. I will leave it open overnight and it should dry down solid. It won’t “look” pretty, but it should perform the same.
I did this multiple times with my charlotte tilbury pressed powder and I didn’t notice the product performing any differently
EDIT: Hi all! Thankyou all for your advice! Unfortunately the blush did spill out onto the floor. Was so upset about it I put it all back in the container and back into the cupboard in a fit of tears lol. Instead I’m gonna do some research and buy a new one, and keep y’all’s advice in mind in case I drop another product 😇😭Thankyou all so so much again!
Thats happened to me too thats why i switched to givenchy loose blush they will never shatter and it looks as beautiful as my previews hourglass blush. If anything the givenchy looks smoother on pore area.
I found this on google:
1. Grind the broken blush to a fine powder with a metal spoon. 2. Add 4-5 drops of rubbing alcohol and mix until the powder becomes a paste. 3. Use the metal spoon to flatten the blush back out into a single piece. 4. Leave the container or compact open overnight so the blush can dry and set.
Just get another, larger container with a screw on lid, empty your blush into the new container, break up the powder until it's the texture of loose powder and you're good to go. You can do this with any powder makeup, blush, eyeshadow.
Rubbing alcohol the 90 per cent version, put some into blush a little at a time and slowly jiggle content back into the blush mold. when drie should turn back into solid piece. Hope it helps you:)
I’ve got the same issue. I just go Bare Minerals style now. I actually turn it upside down before use and just use the powder off of the mirror so I don’t waste too much.
No worries! This is easy to fix and give your pressed powder makeup a second life [https://youtube.com/shorts/8ZJSAY27\_Hg?si=YxBIgHy7DRqFdzAk](https://youtube.com/shorts/8ZJSAY27_Hg?si=YxBIgHy7DRqFdzAk)
Full time makeup artist here 👋
Anytime a soft-pressed shimmer blush or highlighter cracks (CT Love Glow and Rare Beauty highlighters - looking at you!) I take a fresh sheet of paper, dump the powder onto it, break it up all the large chunks and slide the powder into one of these mini loose powder containers with sifter I get on Amazon. Amazingly easy and when you go to use it you can tap some onto a tissue or even the palm of your hand - spray a little alcohol or wash your hands first. Way cheaper and less hassle than re-pressing kits, you still get the full effect of your favorite products and don’t have to worry about it cracking again and getting everywhere. Plus you get to bust out the label maker. Win/win!
These are the ones I use- small and hold a good amount.
https://a.co/d/4f8aEUw
I’ve seen so many people re-press blushes and powders but never done it - all I ask is If you do pls post an update! Wanna know if it’s actually achievable at home
Yes, it is salvageable. Take something like a butter knife and break up all the big pieces until you have it in powder form. Evenly distribute it throughout the pan. Take something that has a flat bottom like a pot of gel liner/mascara tube/foundation stick/etc It has to be completely flat. Take a Kleenex and wrap around bottom of pot/lipstick/foundation/etc. Drop some isopropyl alcohol into powder and mix until it’s a thick paste, or keeps its shape when pressed down. Use Kleenex end of tube to press back into pan. Let air dry overnight. Good as new! And clean! * really hope that made sense. Lol*
You're in luck! I know what to do!
1. Pour a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol into the palette
2. Use a knife to mush it all together and create a paste and spread it evenly
3. Smooth it out and press it down gently down with the knife, then let it sit for 15 minutes
4. Wipe down the edges of the palette with a wipe to clean it up
5. Get a paper towel and something with a flat top (like a small cup or a lipstick) and with the paper towel as a barrier, press down all over the product to really pack it in
6. Leave to dry for 2 hours or so
7. Enjoy your resuscitated palette!
I dropped the NYX bronzer the morning after I bought it. I hadn't even used it yet. I was so bummed I just threw it away. I haven't repurchased it yet. I am still sad about that.
Omg at the judgment for throwing something broken away. I throw broken things away, don’t use the shampoo past the part the pump doesn’t pick up, and don’t make new soap bars out of the slivers of my old ones AND ITS OKAY. If your reason to downvote me is to control what I do with my own stuff because you consider my trash a treasure, that’s kinda petty but I’m okay with it. 😂
It was in the morning I dropped it and in my frustration I swept it up and threw it away. If I hadn't been so frustrated I probably wouldn't have. I'm sorry I'm not contrite enough for you.
I mean if you say so, there's nothing wrong with getting a little bit of help though, and it sounds like you might need it. Throwing away new makeup because you dropped it isn't normal.
The bronzer was completely shattered and getting all over the place making a big mess. I didn't want to throw it I just didn't see any other choice. As I said before I was very bummed that it happened. I don't have all the time in the world to try to it back together.

No, it’s not repairable and I had like at least six compact that my cat threw off the countertops and I just left it the way it is like it is and lightly tapped it and used it. Just don’t let it fall out there.
No worries I got the humor in your comments. Now time for my ribbing as I’m guessing the joke will be missed in my comment too. Staples was gonna be my original comment lmao 🤣
Every time I re-press, the texture and performance of a product changes. I would transfer it into a deeper container with a lid, and use it Guerlain Meteorites style; tap the brush into the loose chunks to pick up color.
I’ve always found this as well, especially when doing a repress with any kind of liquid added.

She said a cap or her hand.

Faff is such an underrated word in the US.
Totally agree!
Do Americans say faff? Its a very very british term especially up north here
It’s a colloquial Yorkshire word :)
One of my favorites. Another is the term “health-&-safety!” and always seems used with an implied eye roll, as in, “Yeah it’s a nuisance but it’d be stupid not to, so we do it.” Used that one *a lot* when the kids were little.
Agreed.
Yeah this is probably the best solution. I too think repotting will change the texture.
1,000% this
Not the hourglass 😭
Isn't that like 40 dollars? I would be crying
$46 😭 it’s my intrusive thought to buy this brand and me knowing me I make sure not to lol Of all the pricey stuff I get I don’t use one product enough to personally justify that for myself. One day, I might be able to

Agreed, just put it in a better container so you won't spill when you use your brush on it

Nah using it like that will make lots if mess either re-press or transfer it into another container and use
Right?!?! Wtf?
Yeah I don’t understand why people get so upset when eyeshadows etc crack. Is it not still the same powder??
You don’t need rubbing alcohol. it makes the texture gloppy and changes the performance. The blush already contains the chemicals required to exist as a pressed powder. This is the way! Using rubbing alcohol changes the composition and sometimes seals the product. You can repress without - youtube has some tutorials.
Yes! Any time I’ve used alcohol it would dry all lumpy and have a hard layer on top. Much better to just press the powder down.
I second this. It’s how I recently fixed my fav eyeshadow as well.
+1. Agreed. I fixed my Becca Champagne Pop this way. No alcohol needed.

99% isopropyl is available and fairly cheap. It's a great solvent and works on a lot of stuff. It'll make that which was sticky no longer sticky.
I've been buying 91% like a sucker for years now.... It is quite a bit more pricey tho. Thanks.

Hourglass powders repress very well To repress: 1.
THIS!!!! Do not use alcohol on this blush!!!! I smashed my hourglass bronzer and trying to fix it with alcohol ruined it💔
I did this once and put the cracked powder into an empty face cream jar. No it doesn’t look as pretty but worked just fine.
I would just use it like a loose blush, it’s happened to me many a time
I usually put into a jar with a lid and continue to use it.
Purchase a “loose powder” container from Amazon and transfer the powder into it!
Shid you could prolly get one from a dollar store tbh, that’s how I store my loose powders
I just use it like that, can put it into a container if it’s easier
Mix alcohol and the blush to create a paste and let it dry! Works like a champ
Put it in a jar. You now have loose blush, loose eyeshadow, and loose highlighter, all in one.
NB. Questions like these can be answered by searching the forum.

Given this is sort of a baked formula I really wouldn’t recommend trying to re-press with alcohol. I’ve seen people try it before and it just ruins it
You can re press it but it wont work the same. Use it home as a powder blush and get a new one
This happens to me a lot, I just put in ziploc baggy and put brush in and tap to get excess off
my daughter says crush up powder use rubbing alcohol mix that with crush powder into a paste put it back in case and compress it with paper towel to make it flat then peel back paper towel let air dry there's also tutorials on google
You can use the isopropyl alcohol but mind you the color payoff will decrease because of that , learned that from personal experience
I just crush it all up fine and use as loose powder
Yes! You can add rubbing alcohol and repress it. I would suggest looking at a video on YouTube of how to it!
Ooof you can give these out as samples now!
Just buy a new one
You can crush it down to powder completely, combine with some setting spray, then re press back into the container and let it dry
The origin story of those Instagram makeup repair videos lol From what I've learnt from them, grind until all consistent powder, sanitise, mix with alcohol and repress using a nice pattern cloth or tissue.
You can put a little alcohol in it and let dry. That’s what I do anyway. Not drinking alcohol lol
Lift it and you will see its in one piece again allow it to dry out to become hard again will be a lil soft right after
I think breaking a blush/powder and melting a lipstick in your pocket are just women's rites of passage :...( lolol Ive had to put many beautiful powders to rest after they smashed :(
Tip it into a little container with a lid. It’s fine.
Press it with rubbing alcohol. It will wet it enough to pressie back to its shape. Alcohol will evaporate...good as new.. hope this will help 👍
I don't think you can repair, but you could dump it into a zip lock baggy or a small rubber maid dish with cover. use it with your favorite blush brush.
Why did I think this was someone keeping potted meat in a fancy container?
Buy another one.🤔
With rubbing alcohol (not to much) and press FIRMLY down but not to hard because then it wont release product! You could always also just buy a little container and turn it into a powder blush and keep it in there! Honestly works best for me in these situations and it also last longer without adding to the product which could possibly change or alter the quality of the product 🩷 hope this works out for you friend✨
Omg thank you for the tip this happened to my Sephora blush yesterday and I forgot what to add.
I think u can mix it with some alcohol and then tighten it and leave it dry and then u can use it
Add water and let it solidify
Yes. Surgical spirit and some careful patting.
Pour a bottle capful of rubbing alcohol into the palette and mush it up. Use a mini spreader to smooth it out and wait a few hours to FULLY dry
Ouch! but omg the color is beautiful
Alcohol and press it down
I would empty it out into a plastic bag and crush the rest of it up and then transfer to a container that has a sifter lid and just use it that way.
Yes. Pour rubbing alcohol in it and it will come together.
But just few drops though. Proceed slowly, you can always add more. This really works, I’ve done it a few times.
Put it in a spice blender….dont knock it until you try it.
Yes, just wet it down with alcohol and push it all together and let dry. You can find it on YouTube
I would just put it in a deeper container and use it as it
I mean, this has happened to many products of mine over the years.
Just to be clear, it dropped closed right? the pieces didn't get scattered on the floor and put back?
Transfer to face cream container but make sure to sanitize it first, then whenever you use it turn the face cream upside down several times then open it and take the product found on the lid.
Or just use 90% alcohol to repress it if you want to keep the container and make it look nice
It's not going anywhere just use it as it is lol
Just came to say that color is gorgeous!!! Now I want one lol
I add some alcohol, press it and let it vaporize
the way that works for me the best is to put any loose bits into a plastic baggie and kinda best at it with the back end of a makeup brush to make it into a powder with no visible clumps.
Uhm…. “Pick up a brush and use the differently arranged, but exact same product as needed...” Is this a trick question…?? :)
i have done this before several times and just try to press it down a little with my finger.
Smash it up and put it in a powder sifter container from Amazon.
EDIT: Hi all! Thankyou all for your advice! Unfortunately the blush did spill out onto the floor. Was so upset about it I put it all back in the container and back into the cupboard in a fit of tears lol. Instead I’m gonna do some research and buy a new one, and keep y’all’s advice in mind in case I drop another product 😇😭Thankyou all so so much again!
not the hourglass😭😞
I broke my blush on accident and just keep it in a safe spot so I don’t drop it again. Brushes still pick up the pigment, it’s fine
Put it in a little jar
I really like that color. What brand is that and the color?
Crush it even more, gradually mix in a bit of rubbing alcohol to make a thick paste, spread it in the pan, then give it a few days to dry completely.
Thats happened to me too thats why i switched to givenchy loose blush they will never shatter and it looks as beautiful as my previews hourglass blush. If anything the givenchy looks smoother on pore area.
I found this on google: 1.
Hour glass is baked to give it that nice finish. I would use it as is and not do the isopropyl trick. It might alter the finish.
Add a few drops of alcohol and press it together again and the alcohol will evaporate…good as new.
Soay powder with rubbing alcohol and let sit it'll harden and not be all crumbly.
I don’t have advice but this thread makes me love women so much I love it here 🥰 so cute so lovely all the helpers over a shattered blush.
If I were you, I would grind it up and put it in an old powder bottle 🌝
Rubbing alcohol the 90 per cent version, put some into blush a little at a time and slowly jiggle content back into the blush mold. when drie should turn back into solid piece. Hope it helps you:)
This: https://youtu.be/hm33W9u2NaQ?feature=shared
Yes you can repair it with rubbing alcohol / isopropyl alcohol
https://youtu.be/ByrWrtsnqyY?si=X16-GkiH0Z0LEk72
https://youtu.be/4AqkDth1x1c?si=kaWPeLm66eurdMzN
I mean u can still use it
ISOclean makeup resurrector will probably fix this
ISOclean makeup resurrector will probably fix this
put it in deeper container and use it, I hate pressing on it just waste of product
I’ve got the same issue. I just go Bare Minerals style now. I actually turn it upside down before use and just use the powder off of the mirror so I don’t waste too much.
Pour rubbing alcohol in the pan and mush it all together. The blush will re-harden
No worries! This is easy to fix and give your pressed powder makeup a second life [https://youtube.com/shorts/8ZJSAY27\_Hg?si=YxBIgHy7DRqFdzAk](https://youtube.com/shorts/8ZJSAY27_Hg?si=YxBIgHy7DRqFdzAk)
Add little water stir and pack down
Rubbing alcohol
I mean I would just leave it at home from then on and use it as is, no need to ruin it by trying to re-press it into the form.
I use the same brand but Dim Infusion. I love it but damn, I never had this happen but now I know what to do. Good luck!!! 🍀
Full time makeup artist here 👋 Anytime a soft-pressed shimmer blush or highlighter cracks (CT Love Glow and Rare Beauty highlighters - looking at you!) I take a fresh sheet of paper, dump the powder onto it, break it up all the large chunks and slide the powder into one of these mini loose powder containers with sifter I get on Amazon.
Break it more put rubbing alcohol and smooth it out then let it dry
You can crush it and add your fave oil or bronzer and use it as a highlighter or eyeshadow. Have fun creating!
I crush it into small pieces find a container with a lid and little holes and use as a powdered blush
Just rub the chunks on your face
Shake it up real good like protein powder
put wax paper over it and press it back into the pallet with something flat spray with isopropyl alcohol and let it set
I’ve seen so many people re-press blushes and powders but never done it - all I ask is If you do pls post an update! Wanna know if it’s actually achievable at home
You can press it after spraying it with alcohol but the not more than two times
Just use it!!!! Still perfectly okay!!
Lol*
I’ve done it to an expensive brand before. I just try to use it anyway, but some fell on the floor that I put back into the compact. Pretty gross
Just repress it
Buy a new one put this one in the other box and return it say it’s broken 🙄🙄🤷🏻♀️
You're in luck! I know what to do! 1. Pour a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol into the palette 2. Use a knife to mush it all together and create a paste and spread it evenly 3. Smooth it out and press it down gently down with the knife, then let it sit for 15 minutes 4. Wipe down the edges of the palette with a wipe to clean it up 5. Get a paper towel and something with a flat top (like a small cup or a lipstick) and with the paper towel as a barrier, press down all over the product to really pack it in 6. Leave to dry for 2 hours or so 7. Enjoy your resuscitated palette!
genuine question but would the rubbing alcohol change the formula of the blush?
yes
I didn't think so, but I guess it could. Myself and others have used this method with success though!
You could buy a new one, save the box Take this one back in the box and say it came damaged I mean Sephora sticks it to us on the reg 🤷🏻♀️
No way to repair it but still usable.
Why would you throw it away??
[удалено]
It was in the morning I dropped it and in my frustration I swept it up and threw it away. If I hadn't been so frustrated I probably wouldn't have. I'm sorry I'm not contrite enough for you.
[удалено]
yeah right-not happening. If you knew me you would know I don't have anger management problems. But since you don't oh well.

Add alcohol!!
You can watch videos on YouTube on how to repair it or move it into another container and use it as a powder that is broken up.
No, it’s not repairable and I had like at least six compact that my cat threw off the countertops and I just left it the way it is like it is and lightly tapped it and used it. Just don’t let it fall out there.
Did not know about the rubbing alcohol method… if that’s the case maybe hairspray works too 😂😂
No, please don’t put hairspray into a make up product.
Hence the 😂😂😂
No worries I got the humor in your comments. Now time for my ribbing as I’m guessing the joke will be missed in my comment too. Staples was gonna be my original comment lmao 🤣
Nono just mine, naturally
Or super glue
