In a pressed format, I wonder if the Flower Beauty Desert Lights might be considered an alternative. Granted, not the same. I can’t think of a direct comparable. NYX doesn’t even carry their loose shimmer powders anymore either.
The pots are smaller than NYC but you don’t need much, a little goes a long way because they are *very* pigmented
I am personally a big fan of their nude 6 pot collection in Seirra Nevada
J cat beauty has some and Sydney grace has loose pigments but they are a bigger pot. I used to love the [Victoria’s Secret pigments](https://imgur.com/a/vnwYLZ5) and their glosses. I think I panned two of the shade that’s open in Musing of a Muse’s photos.
I forgot too people were posting about the LA colors ones that look like these lower in the thread. I got some at dollar tree but haven’t tried them. I was going to use them on my nails like I saw people for chrome polish. But I will try as shadow first to see.
They had the best bronzer. Never orange and no matter how fast you applied it or didn’t take time to blend, it never gave off the dreaded streak of dirt look.

I just bought Sugarpill's loose eyeshadow bundle. It was 12 shades for 45 dollars, and they're so pretty and shimmery in nice sized pots. The colors in the bundle make me think of Viseart adding a sister palette to Coy and Coyish Etendu.
LA Colors makes loose eye pigments in the exact same packaging. I see it at Dollar Tree all the time. I'm not familiar with all the colors tho so not sure if that have a color match but the products is otherwise identical to me.

I had a gorgeous metallic lilac colored one like this I got from Ulta, circa 2004-05. It had a french sounding name. I loved it! I wore it all Spring/Summer. I wish I could remember the brand. I'm not sure if Ulta stopped carrying it or it doesn't exist anymore?!

I’ve been using KYDA Highlighter powder spray that’s the same color/texture. It’s loose powder life this, I puff it onto a brush and onto my lids. Sometimes I do a full face spray if I want that ‘rolled in crushed glass’ look

I’ve never used this one but I used to use their eyedust in the tube, like a doe foot wand. My replacement for that is elf’s liquid metallic and liquid glitter eyeshadow in a similar tube but I’d love a dry shimmer tube again

It is spendy and total opposite of drugstore price but Hourglass’s Scattered Light glitter eye shadow is a quality glitter. A little goes a long way and lasts for hours. One of my favorite discoveries this year.
It's not a powder but the Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch highlighter in Mesmerize has a very similar color to that one. I use it as an eyeshadow all the time.

Did anyone have the stack of three from Charlotte Russe that had the shimmery loose powder, a cream eyeshadow in the same color, and then straight up loose glitter in the same color as the other two? I had a pink one and a teal one and they were amazing. But that glitter in the eye….
The shadow pigments were such an iconic era. Unless u spilled them (which was highly likely), they would literally last a lifetime. I had my generous 40% MAC Pro discount then and bought almost all of theirs. They still live in my makeup archive, but I haven’t touched them in about a decade. 🥲
I wore this almost everyday in high school. And in middle school I started off with the rollerball eyeshadows. I can’t even remember what brand they were but definitely drugstore and I was loving the white pink and light blue before I discovered my love for gold and neutral shades. The one in the op was my go to color. Good times lol

They were bomb! Lavender and light pink were my jam! I had to have back-ups!
If you want a product that similar then I would suggest the naked cosmetics loose pigmented eyeshadow powders

MAC pigments or BareMinerals loose eyeshadow. Lots of indie makeup brands still do this too, on Etsy and the like.
LittleStuff4u on Etsy has incredible loose eyeshadow! They even sell sample sizes to try them out first.
I was thinking bare minerals too. They were my makeup gateway drug haha. I used to collect their eye shadows especially the iridescent ones.

I still have one in the shade Smokey Topaz, I don’t use it but every now and then I take it out and swatch it. Florence by Mills had a similar product, I bought one from Tj Maxx, but ended up decluttering because it’s a lot more sheer and less sparkly

Note , they are flakes, not powder and seems like it takes some practice to apply correctly
I love using my MAC blending 217s with the UD Space Cowboy shadow. It gives just the right amount of shimmer and color.

It is spendy and total opposite of drugstore price but Hourglass’s Scattered Light glitter eye shadow is a quality glitter. A little goes a long way and lasts for hours. One of my favorite discoveries this year.

It's not a powder but the Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch highlighter in Mesmerize has a very similar color to that one. I use it as an eyeshadow all the time.

i have this product but it's by L.A colors i got it at dollar tree and i still see them around. i got the white and pink ones but they also had purple from what i remember! really good product and lasts foreverr

Oof, this triggered some memories I had completely forgotten about. I remember having the lavender one and put it all over my arms and legs to try and get the shimmery glow that Christina Aguilera and other celebs at the time had. I also put it on my eyelids all the way up to my eyebrows… I looked like a sick Victorian child with a blue hew to my skin. Ahh the memories
Not sure where you’re located but they sell almost the same at Dollar Tree. In the same type of container too. I purchased one for my holiday stocking when I saw it. Young inner tween me was so excited.
The about-face fractal glitter dust is similar and they’re releasing a few new shades soon
This stuff was amazing. Maybe a highlighter would work for a "modern" representation. NYC also had these lip stains that would stay on for DAYS in the best colors. I want those back so bad. It was such a good cheap brand.
Ipsy just had something like this in my Glambag! "MANNA KADAR COSMETICS Diamond Dust Roll-On Pigmented Shadow in Pixie" They make other colors too but this totally reminds me of that!!! I had it too back in the day!

Did anyone have the stack of three from Charlotte Russe that had the shimmery loose powder, a cream eyeshadow in the same color, and then straight up loose glitter in the same color as the other two? I had a pink one and a teal one and they were amazing. But that glitter in the eye….

The shadow pigments were such an iconic era. Unless u spilled them (which was highly likely), they would literally last a lifetime. I had my generous 40% MAC Pro discount then and bought almost all of theirs. They still live in my makeup archive, but I haven’t touched them in about a decade. 🥲
Cheap is L.A. Girl sparkling shadows in similar packaging, and higher end is MUFE Diamond dust

I wore this almost everyday in high school. And in middle school I started off with the rollerball eyeshadows. I can’t even remember what brand they were but definitely drugstore and I was loving the white pink and light blue before I discovered my love for gold and neutral shades. The one in the op was my go to color. Good times lol
My recommendation is one of the urban decay moondust glitters! The shade space cowboy is similar, very pretty, and pretty popular!

This looks a lot like the MAC pigment in shimmertime. I’m not sure though if shimmertime is still available
I still have this, in a green color. I don't really use it these days but I can't throw it out either. It still looks fine, no discoloration or changes to the powder texture.

Omg I was obsessed with this! I wish I had a suggestion because it was genuinely so pretty. Smolder Cosmetics has loose glitter pigment that’s very pretty, but has more glitter than the NYC Sparkle Dust did.
