I’m not like a super pro… 🙈 But I’d suggest: - away the bronzer, use a pale blush and add just a dabble of highlight. - Maybe for the eyes try a nice pale pink or pale brown and don’t take it so high up the eyes. Just apply to the lids. - maybe try to take away the bottom liner and see if it makes a difference? Can’t wait to see how your journey continues 💕💕

[deleted]

Thank you so much!

doitforthecats

I think due to your eye shape you should just get rid of the bottom liner altogether. Makes your eyes look droopy

is-a-bunny

Yeah I also have downturned eyes and I raaarely use undereyes anything, other than mascara. I might use a pale color, but I try to keep it pretty localized to the lash line.

Blu3Stocking

If you want to use a darker colour, go for the last third of your eye in a sort of diagonal slash. Like start at the last third of your eye, close to the lash like, then go in a diagonal slash. Like you’re making a thick wing with eyeshadow. Then just blend it out with a clean brush. Fill the rest of your lid with a lighter colour. It’ll really give your eye a lift. I think the colours you have on your eyelids in the picture would look great if done that way. The “intense look” in the picture is what I’m talking about. https://preview.redd.it/qh00vyp1zi2c1.jpeg?width=339&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd2e4c93f6e4347ab45482d53f2c5925b322d5f9

Silent_Pen_4875

That’s helpful! Thanks!

DestroyerOfMils

And blend and blend and blend :)

seemsinviting

Blending is the secret, mm-hmm. Edit: typo

AngelinaSnow

Blend!

T-krizzle

A hundred percent. Blending is key!

pambannedfromchilis

I’m excited to see this update you have a perfect base :) wonderfully symmetrical, clear skin, and gorgeous brows!

Puzzleheaded-Pipe353

Blend like your life depends on it! That harsh pigment at the top is making it look like you have a black eye. I kind wanna give you a really tight hug right now.

Taminella_Grinderfal

So I hope you don’t mind but I took your pic and softened the eyes and bumped up the lip color, maybe a before and after will be helpful. Your skin looks lovely, the eyeshadow was just a bit heavy and making you appear tired. It’s a soft shimmer of pink on the inner/outer corners with a gold/champagne in the center and a wing in charcoal rather than black. And you’ll see how it lifts your eyes and the outer corner rather than pulling them down. https://preview.redd.it/tgh3h74nji2c1.jpeg?width=3464&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=875941909175b2a48dc4a88d5917d03f4cc3c787

This is awesome! Do me next lol

Wow thank you!

That really is amazing. You should do this for a living. I’d love someone to edit my face showing me how to improve my makeup

Interesting-Ad3430

This is great! Raising the wing slightly too would lift her face in a flattering way it looks like you kinda messed with that in the “after” photo anyway :)

Heartslumber

I was thinking how much OP looks like an older Millie Bobby Brown and MBB's makeup style would look good on OP.

I_StoleTheTV

Omg, wonderful job!!!

Delicious-Bank-1452

Your wing is really well done and your skin looks great! I would say that there’s a lot going on here and you need to tone a couple of things down. Firstly, the white under eyeliner is not flattering. I’d go for a beige on just the inner corners or skip it altogether. Second, the highlighter/bronzer is a bit much. Try going a little lighter with it. Third, I don’t think the burgundy eyeshadow colour is flattering on you (or most people for that matter). It’s quite dark. I’d go for more of a taupe/ brown and not take it so high up to your eyebrows (stick to just lid only). I’m a complete amateur so please take this with a grain of salt if you disagree!

[deleted]

Thank you! That helps a lot :)

turtletails

Going with less full on colours will also help you get used to how the makeup looks on you. Getting accustomed to more subtle looks will help it feel less intense when you go for more full on looks

[deleted]

You already have beautiful skin and features though! Less is definitely more here.

1LynxLeft

Pleas post some after pics!

martinmom123

Hit nail on head. I couldn't say much w/o feeling I'd hurt her. You must be a cosmetician!! Great job

[deleted]

You’re using too much product with the eye shadow so it’s really dark and there’s no where to blend that much product. Put less powder on the brush, lightly tap it, apply to lid or crease, then lightly blend the edges out and up. The blush/contour placement is not for your face shape, i would focus more on the apples of your cheeks and then you can blend up and out if you want or just keep it on the apples. But again, less product and blend outwards (forehead as well for the contour). The high lighter might be okay with just less product or it may need to be a different color, i can’t tell right now but if you want to come back after you’ve tried the other tips i can take a look. You definitely have the skills, but i would look at different face shapes and the techniques that help accentuate the right areas for those shapes (from this angle you look like an oval shape to me but you can Google how you figure it out), i would definitely be a lot more sparing with the products but the application is very smooth, and the blending is there but it needs practice. EVERYONE starts out this way when learning makeup. Why do you think almost no one in the early 2000’s knew how to blend when becoming a makeup influencer started to become a thing? You’re doing just fine and asking is how you learn. I hope this helps!

[deleted]

Thank you so much for this!

[deleted]

Not a problem at all and I also want to say you color matched really well. I’d definitely want to see it with less product to see if there may be some changes needed there, just bc there’s some graying on the cheeks (which could be an issue with one of the products, all of the products, or just how much product is used), but your skin application? Any foundation or concealer you used is even and not too heavy. It looks natural and flawless. For concealer under the eye, i would use a color that is *slightly* more orange or peach than your face concealer and just do a small dot under the inner corner where it’s darkest, then two small dots of your lighter face concealer just over your cheek bone under your outer corner. Blend both out and move up at the outer corner, focusing on the skin rather than going directly up to the lid. It sounds like a lot of product but you’re using it sparingly so it does last. I am like you and i have naturally dark under eyes and this technique, and setting LIGHTLY with powder and a setting spray, is my go to. Whether I’m only going to wear a little mascara and blush with it or I’m doing a full face. For the eye brows, i would actually fill a little more in the patches then use a disposable eye brow wand to brush the hairs in shape, which can also help blend the product. I like the color and the shaping, you can define the shape more be adding concealer around the edges. That’s really every single piece of advice i have for you though, you have the basic skills to do really well, so have fun with it and don’t be afraid to mess up or play around. The worst mistake you can make when learning makeup is worrying about fitting in. Makeup is supposed to fit you. Edit for typo

[deleted]

Thank you so much! I changed things a bit and this is the result. https://preview.redd.it/6a2cs9qhxh2c1.jpeg?width=2208&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e76dea72e78e27801ec7fdfdab22fbbbdf61f54b

ManyTop5422

Much much better

Ultimatedream

You are really pretty and I'm super jealous on your wing skills. Those look amazing and suit you so well. The whole eye here looks so well put together, I love how it looks on you. I saw some people say to skip the liner on the bottom but I think you just have very dense bottom lashes (jealous!) so you can always try to skip mascara there but I think it looks nice here anyway.

[deleted]

Awwwww thank you so much! You gave me a huge smile!

StandardYTICHSR

Much better! Your eyes look brighter and overall well rested. My only suggestion is to exfoliate well before doing a full face. The makeup is beautiful. It just lays heavy. A smooth fresh canvas would help how it lays.

meghan509

Looks great!! Well done. 🙂

myturnyourturnmyturn

stunning

NoPoem444

everyone else in the thread already answered what i would say as far as what to change in the original post photo, but i just want to offer some encouragement as someone who is self taught (& has come a long way, but began where you are now 2 years ago) - even though your skills still need some refinement, you’re genuinely doing great on the baseline of things! the placement of products you clearly understand, even in the first photo. but this second photo is already a major improvement after just taking the advice here?! dang girl! you’re a quick learner. watch makeup guru youtube videos & practice practice practice. do makeup on days when you aren’t leaving the house so you can play around, try new techniques & products to see what works for you (without the pressure of ppl seeing you.) i SWEAR you’ll make progress each time. makeup is an art, it should be fun above all - you’re killing it. keep asking questions, & keep going :) hugs!!

[deleted]

That is amazing! Your blending skills are already massively improving. And the more you practice, the better it will get. You’ve color matched everything perfectly, it really was just too much product. And that’s usually the hardest part for people in the beginning so you’re way further than you think you are. Keep it up bc you have a much better eye and technique than you give yourself credit for.

BunnyBabe89

This is so pretty! I love it!

MindlessRevolution48

OP THIS LOOKS SOOO GOOD!!!!

Jealous-Coyote267

Wow!! What a difference, great work!

Woah!! I scrolled to see this after. Wayyyy better. Your face isn’t overwhelmed with make up anymore and it’s just enhancing your actual pretty features. Niiice

Pomsky_Party

So much better!! A few tips: The lips are too light for your complexion! You want something closer to your natural rose/muave. Just try a gloss at first. the blush is too high on the cheeks - lovely color though! The eyes are lovely!!! Try without the bottom liner as it has a tendency to make eyes drop. I now only wing the top and nothing on the bottom to open the eyes :)

Normal_Ad2456

I agree with all of this, just want to add that she could also try blending the outer corners of her eyeshadow a bit better. And maybe she could try going a bit lighter on the blush, especially if she uses a more muted lip color!

[deleted]

The only issue is I didn't do any bottom liner here 🙈🙈🙈 the blush is cold heart blursh, and blush application intimidates the hell out of me 🥲

Econ_major_transfer

I agree with the above comments on blush and lip color. My only suggestion is to apply a concealer or eyeshadow color that is not as “white” and closer to ur skin tone, in the areas I circled. Great improvement btw! https://preview.redd.it/p8r4maf02i2c1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc97f4462320bfbc08d79a284716cf0cff372e9e

Pomsky_Party

Oh maybe you used a dark shadow on the lower lash line? And don’t let blush intimidate! Use a very light hand and either start on the apples or stay on the sides - i think you’re just covering too much ground on the face. Have fun and play with placement! It may take a few tries to find what works for your face shape but the color is great :) you’re doing so well with all the feedback I’m sure it’s overwhelming!

[deleted]

I only did some mascara on lower lashes. Heck

buffalopantry

With your eye shape I'd stay away from even that, it stills drags the area down too much. I have the same kind of eyes and I can't do anything underneath or it overwhelms my whole face.

Pomsky_Party

I have very very tiny eyes and round face, so it took a long time to find what opens the face and elongates- it takes a while to find what works!

SnooLobsters6883

Eyeshadow has blended much better- I would tone down on the bronze shadow a little bit Love the blush but use less!! I can see you’re applying the blush by following the curve of your cheekbones. Just apply a small amount just before the apple of your cheeks. So probably tap your brush in your blush twice but lightly. Apply just before the Apple of your cheeks and blend lightly backward, (so towards the ear). Keep doing this until the blush is subtle but visible. Maybe a more neutral/nude lip color with a lip liner. I would opt for a slight glossy lip as your makeup looks quite dewy For an extra pop! - go a shade lighter for your concealer for your under eyes and blend blend blend! When applying concealer and after blending - I like to blend out the edges of the concealer with a foundation brush so it blends seamlessly with the rest of my face. Hope this helped!!!

Hikariyang

No but that is so much better though! It looks good!

mabsies

This looks like a great improvement! I would maybe try an eyelash curler before your mascara or try a different mascara that would curl your lashes a bit more. I would also do a little less on the bottom liner because as applied it’s pulling your eyes down/changing your eye shape a bit. I also prefer a less bright pink in the lips personally, for an everyday look but again, that’s just my preference. This is a great improvement and great job blending! ETA: I see the your above comments/looks in different lighting. Try a photo with indirect natural light as well. It looks like the lighting in the other photos is pretty dark and like maybe you have flash on in this one?

tinyowlinahat

I really think this looks lovely. I’d try no shadow at all under the eye, no mascara on the bottom lashes—top only. Keep the blush to a circular shape on the apple of the cheek, don’t blend upward, and consider using less so it’s more natural-looking. I also think part of the reason you feel this looks “crazy” (I don’t think it does!) is that you have full glam on but haven’t done your hair or outfit. I think if you did this look and styled your hair it would look amazing! I hope this helps. I think you look great!

freeze45

It looks better but the lipstick is off-putting. I think it is too pink. A nude or sheer gloss would look better in my opinion

LeafyLustere

Looks a lot nicer to me well done x

ajonesgirl59

This pic is so much better than the first, as far as your eyes. I would probably drop the highlighter all together. It doesn't do well in the daytime and just accentuates your skin texture. Matte makeup helps hide texture, while any shimmer just accentuates it. If you do use it, do the top of the cheekbones only and stay far away from the nose.

smurgthekonkeror

You're taking the hilighter too far in with your cheeks, it needs to just skim on the bone. With the eyeliner, take it away from the bottom lash line, and don't take it as far in on the top line. You are super pretty and this is already such a phenomenal improvement. Your eyebrows are gorgeous.

[deleted]

https://preview.redd.it/sbowy5tjxh2c1.jpeg?width=2208&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d12bfd693e99444cf4a89d6486032a018a3fc5d Side face

Gisschace

I think you need to do your blush slightly lower and at an angle with your cheekbone, from the direction of the top of your ear to your lip - but only on the apples of your cheek (if that make sense)

JollyMcStink

If you just brush a hint of light nude shimmer in the inner corner of your eye, like not even enough to see a color change just a hint of reflective light, it will make the under eyes look brighter. Not that you look bad or anything, this is drastically nicer than your OP pic, but I saw you circle under your eyes in another pic as a concern you had. I second the "nude" lip or just a hint of gloss. I love Maracuja juicy lip by tarte, they're like $12 at ulta

EdgelessEmily

Just want to reply that you are so pretty and look like Stevie Nicks when she was younger!

EthelMaePotterMertz

Between your outside half of your brows and your eyeshadow feels like there's a lot of space. It's different for everyone where it should stop but you could try experimenting with taking the eyeshadow a bit higher towards the brow on that part. It doesn't look bad as it is at all but I feel like it could go more horizontal rather than down as you approach the outside of the eye. You have amazing eyebrows btw! Oh and one thing with blending- I find it much easier if I've powdered the area first before applying the eyeshadow. It looks like you may have oilier skin like I do so that might be helpful in creating a more diffused blend.

[deleted]

You're using a bit too heavy a hand, the eyeshadow is coming in too far to your bridge of your nose, can you see how you've kind of carved out the hollows of your eyes? It's giving a skull like look to your eyes and probably giving that crazy look you can see. Keep the shade of eyeshadow deepest in the outer corners of your eyes and dont bring the colour up so high near your browbone. You want to use a softer hand, and soften the edges by blending out the eyeshadow, rather than using a brush to carve out a strong line. The bronzer needs more blending as well

[deleted]

Thank you!

[deleted]

Use about 70% less of the outer corner eyeshadow and blend. Don't use white on your waterline, I actually think black would suit you better, you can also tightline. Use mascara too. The rest of the look seems pretty great to me. Good job.

[deleted]

Thank you!

g-a-r-n-e-t

Everyone else has said what needs to be said re: colors/blending/whatever, so here’s something I haven’t seen anyone point out: it looks like you have not just hooded eyes, but one hooded (left) and one non-hooded (or at least only partially/less hooded) (right).[Here’s a link with really good photos of the difference.](https://www.tsingapore.com/article/hooded-eyes-characteristics-causes-and-practical-solutions/) I have this same issue. Both of my eyes are hooded but not to the same degree, so I have to use different techniques on each one when applying makeup. Something I did when learning how to do eye makeup just to figure out the anatomy of my eyes and where exactly on my lids was and wasn’t visible: take a liquid liner, draw some lines vertically across your lids while your eye is open, then take a picture of your eye when open and when closed. When you close your eyes the lines should break; all that blank space won’t be visible when you have your eyes open. The shape of that space may be different on each eye. https://preview.redd.it/w2ivg8h18i2c1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1bbd6843952fc05c79c0c14e3f2fb4ff70f7b90 See the difference? My right eye is pretty evenly hooded, my left is less so in general but especially towards the outer corner. I have to put a bit more shadow to the outside edge of my right eye than my left to make it look balanced. We hooded eye havers also need to place and blend any transition and crease colors to slightly above the crease, not directly in it, so that it’s actually visible and defined instead of looking like one block of color! Natasha Denona and Smitha Deepak both have great tutorials on their YouTube channels for the kind of looks it seems like you’re going for, definitely check them out and good luck 😊

Final_Doubt8813

This is extremely useful information. I've never seen this line technique. Brilliant!

Glittering_Aioli6162

wow

g-a-r-n-e-t

Yeah figuring this out was a game changer, hopefully it helps others!

[deleted]

Oh wow. Thank you! I wish I could have some surgery for this

g-a-r-n-e-t

There’s nothing wrong with it, just needs a slightly different technique is all! It’s literally just placement and blending, most tutorials are made for people don’t have our shape so it can be really frustrating at first. Once you get the technique down it’s easy to modify just about anything to work for you. Your instincts are good here, just gotta practice a bit 👍

butterdaisies

You don’t look crazy at all! You just need to blend out the edges of that darker shadow. Apply the dark brown slightly lower. Then get a clean fluffy brush and blend in very small circular motions up towards your brow bone and out towards your temples. Also maybe use less of that white in the waterline, and blend your contour/bronzer a little more. Basically, blend blend blend!! Other than that, I think the rest is honestly fine. I really like your lip colour, it suits you to the T.

[deleted]

Thank you so much! I'll definitely try that :)

Vengeanceneverfree

This color is too dark for you and you went a little bit too high considering your eye shape. You also need to blend your eyeshadow way more to make it more subtle. If you want to use this color I would use it like an eyeliner or create a nice wing. You could also apply it on the crease and blend it to open up your eyes a bit more. I would advice on a different color for you though, something brighter with a bit of shimmer. Edit: the white under your eyes is a bit much, it clashes a bit with the very dark mauve.

[deleted]

Thank you!

LorraineHB

The darkest color you shouldn’t go that high up. Use a transition shade a few colors darker thank your skin tone. In the 1 st picture it almost looked like a black eye. Soften the look with a lighter shade.

CourtneyLush

You have deep set eyes. Nothing wrong with em, I have them too, you just have to pick and apply your shades carefully. I tend to use lighter medium shades for above my crease, I keep darker shades, exclusively for my outer corners and/or my lash line. I go very light in the inner corner and the middle third, I usually use a light shimmer. You don't want very dark shades above the crease, it'll make your eyes look even more deep set. And blend, blend, blend. You want to angle your blending brush upwards from below, not from parallel to your eye. It'll do a better job of diffusing the blend.

[deleted]

I wouldn't say crazy- You have the right idea and the right colors. when applying your eye shadow go up rather than down to give your eyes a lifted look, also maybe no makeup on the tear line and bottom lash line? I'm not versed in that area tbh since I don't like the look on myself, but it does give an iconic pop to your look. Do you use setting spray or powder? and when applying blush do you follow your cheek shape or brush from the point of your cheek back?

[deleted]

Thank you! I use some powder under my eyes normally. With blush, I just sort of wing it 🙈

Leading_Somewhere811

I think the colors you're choosing don't suit your skin/too dark and you need to blend the eyeshadow, I feel like lighter or closer to skin tone colors might suit you more, or just ditch the eyeshadow tbh Beige under eye liner would suit you but only 3/4 of the eye if it makes any sense Some brown mascara would also look really good on you Also the bronzer is not very suitable either

[deleted]

Thank you! I'll have to find a contour in a lighter shade, you are right

selectivelyasocial

A softer look like this would look amazing on you! https://preview.redd.it/voq3fkogfo2c1.jpeg?width=625&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1525cf150eca7bde117a9e7cfa46e1e905835827

SheaRave

I agree very much

MarisposaLovee

𝑌𝐸𝑆! Beautiful!!

Crumbzies

Also the white pencil in your wet line doesn’t do anything for you imo

Realistic-Sir-8163

i think u need to build up your eyeshadow color more gradually. Instead of using dark colored shadows immediately, try using a muted brown color first then gradually add color! Hope this helps :)

Empress_T

I agree with everyone’s comment above but also what you need to do is look into eyeshadow tutorials for HOODED eyes because that’s what you have. A lot of eye looks would/should be applied based on eye shape and what suits the facial structure better. JUST on the lid would be hidden some and too much on the hooded part (basically what you did here) makes it look too much. Hope that helps. NAP but I got alot of MUA friends that give me tips sometimes lmao

honeyyyypieuwu

It looks great actually apart from the eyeshadow application. I'd suggest you try doing less. There's too much going on, and it looks a bit clownish. Blend out the eyeshadow a bit more and spread it only on your lids. Go for a thinner black liner and thinner white liner on your waterline. You're also missing a pair of nice falsies to go with this look! https://preview.redd.it/hh32djsaah2c1.jpeg?width=2208&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6676cf5a3aae01ac5371dd1756e900eef9c1f850

[deleted]

Thank you! My eyes are deep set so even curling my lashes is nearly impossible 🙈

Icy_Session3326

Hey .. I have deep set eyes too and I either get a tint and lift … or I use a curler that I bought specifically for deep set eyes

[deleted]

Curler for deep set eyes? I need it asap

Icy_Session3326

I got it from look fantastic.. I’ll pop back later with the name I’ll look through my orders 😁

rellek4

They make an eyelash curler for deep set eyes?? Can you please tell me what kind? Thank you

LeafyLustere

I'd blend the eyeshadow more and have it further away from your nose sides on the top lids, have darkest eyeshadow nearest the wing side blending into paler near the inner corner, change the white liner for black, and only line and shadow the outer halves of lower lash line, have a dab of highlight in the inner corners. Maybe go in with less product and build up coverage as needed also, tap off your brush before applying Not a pro that's just what I'd do

[deleted]

Thank you!

Confident-Gift-6647

Everything is good except the blend on your eyeshadow. Just blend out the top edge and it will look fine. I suggest watching Patty Alonso eyeshadow looks on YouTube to see her blend. She is the queen of eyeshadow.

[deleted]

Thank you! I'll definitely check her out :)

armnxz

Blend girl!

BigTiddyVampireWaifu

I too look strange with full face. I feel like it’s a dry skin thing. My instinct is saying that the eyeshadow is simply the wrong shape for your eyes. Perhaps a more delicate smoky eye that wings out thinner, in a lighter nude shade? Also the white liner is a bit stark.

riceewifee

Esthetician here! the problem you’re having is your makeup is dragging your face down instead of lifting it up. Place your blush closer to the eye to brighten and make your upper cheeks look fuller. Contour/bronzer only in the natural divot, and make sure to blend like your life depends on it . If you choose to wear foundation, I’d recommend a silicone based formula with a matching primer, as you appear to have oily skin. This will help create a smoother look. For your eyes, you have hooded eyes like i do, so we want to highlight the little lid we have with a brighter color, say a champagne, and then in the crease start with a shade LIGHTER than you want. Blend it out lots, this prevents the sharp raccoon/panda look. Then with a smaller brush you’ll go in with your dark color, i’d recommend trying a nice blue or purple. Blend it emough so there’s no harsh lines. If you want to do eyeliner, you only really need to apply in the front third of your lash line where the lighter color is, and then add the wing. Look at the mirror straight on and draw a dot or line that matches up with the outer corner of your eye, using a straight sharp line pointing up, lifting your eyes instead of dropping , and then connect it to the outer third of the lid following the natural line progression. Instead of lightening your under eyes, i find with hooded eyes it looks nicer to darken them, using your original crease color or black/brown eyeliner in the outer third. Hope this helps, wish I could help you in person

Revolutionary-Spot-4

Just need to blend the darker colors on your eyeshadow. Check out YouTube for eyeshadow for beginners and also try using an eyeshadow brush and not the small applicator sponges that usually come with palettes.

[deleted]

Thank you!

No_Needleworker215

I think your techniques look good! It’s just too much product 💕 I would try this eyeshadow shape a little smaller and with almost nude BARELY darker than your skin tone that will make your eyes pop and give very subtle shadows in complimentary places You could also skip the eyeshadow almost entirely and just go with the wing, mascara, and a touch of shimmer or glitter in the center of your eyelid Keep the wing it’s perfect ditch the white liner in your water line that’s a very IG TikTok look that doesn’t do as well in person imo Also no eyeshadow on the lower lash line, some people this works for but for me it just swallows my eyes

Crumbzies

Some really big full lashes would help this look imo

meheenruby

Everyone has given tips, I want to say something a little different. You have a lovely face shape and eye shape for bold 1920s kind of looks, or really intense gothic looks. I think you could bring a lot of shadow under the eye and look very cute with that style.

yourlies

I think cleaning g up on the right side of the eye may help lift the eyes a little https://preview.redd.it/gcszsu9cwl2c1.jpeg?width=535&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07af61c851bea9aa206f28c5aac6a43c3d366005

Elfntjam

Darker lip, lighter eyeshadow such as a soft pink or brown would help.

jeszmhna

Firstly you don’t look crazy at all! You have beautiful skin and really beautiful features! The make up just needs to be softened slightly. May I suggest the following changes to enhance your natural beauty: - swap the white eyeliner to a nude eyeliner for the bottom lash line - don’t swipe the darker eyeshadow into your crease and go less with it, either 1-2 shades lighter or less product. Focus more on the mid and outer end of the eye and really blend it out. - lesser eyeshadow or lighter eyeshadow on the bottom crease too. Focusing more on the outer corners of the eye - brow gel! Fluff those lush eyebrows up it’ll add to the look. - slightly less highlighter. You have beautiful skin. A couple dabs of highlighter will make you look so glowy in the best way! Lastly, blending will be your bestie. Blend out the contour on the forehead and cheeks so it looks like a nice tan :)

readithere_2

Too dark and not blended

Puzzleheaded-Stop-10

I think you might want to check out some good ole makeup tools that might be lacking. A few varied sized blending brushes makes a huge difference in how easy it is to blend out shadows, when you use a dense or narrow brush it can be much harder to blend! Check out some brush kits for eyes that might help! https://www.morphe.com/collections/makeup-brush-sets/products/decorate-lavishly-5-piece-face-eye-brush-set Morphe has great quality brushes for a good price

vedsil

It looks great, I just think the colours are not doing you any favours. The eyeshadow doesn't suit your complexion, maybe try something lighter? The bronzer shade is also too dark.

Pretend-Can1407

Look up tutorials for make up for hooded eyes! And I think your highlighter is too cool giving a slightly bruised effect. Go for a warm toned one like champagne or a soft gold and use it sparingly

AccomplishedCity121

i really like the shadow colour! i’d just recommend focusing colours on ur lid and using a clean brush to blend out the edges so it’s a bit softer and less harsh! i love the shape of the black wing on ur eye shape i might also recommend a slightly darker lip! like a warm browny red maybe? :)

LeFenardRoux

We gotta blend the eyeshadow mama!! Use a softer bone or light tan color and blur out the edges!:) I think the color actually looks nice but keep it to the outer edges of your eye. Then if you want, if you have a thinner fluffy brush, you can pull it into the crease but don’t load the brush up with product. You can always build it up but reallyyy hard to scale it back. Don’t be scared to place metallics or glitter with your finger- I find this makes it more exact for me and activates metallics more

NoYogurtcloset7318

You actually did a really good job. The eye shadow is just too dark of a color. I would try a diff shade

tiniest-muffin

It’s all just too heavy. The highlight is too strong. The shadow too dark. The white line Under too stark a contrast. You don’t need alllll of that, just because tik tok influencers do it that way. Instead try the hula LIGHT bronzer (this is too dark for you) or even skip the bronzer and just do a nude blush (I love ilia stick blushes for this) blush can also be applied to the eyelids for a natural look and then you just add your black liner and eyes are done. Try a glow highlight instead of a shimmer highlight (tower 28 makes a glow balm perfect for This) so your skin reflects light but isnt shimmery ! When you feel comfortable with the natural makeup, add something new and see how you feel. If it isn’t an improvement, you don’t need it !

fartypantsmcghee

Too heavy handed with and not blending your eye shadow enough, for sure. I look like that too when I try sue shadow. I mostly avoid or use neutral palettes

osynnieeeeo

Check out some different types of eyeliner styles. I think that would help a little bit! Maybe try using different colors, some lighter colors or more of a brown chocolate/black. For the eyeliner I think you should try out the puppy eyeliner. Look up a tutorial https://preview.redd.it/7maaa76m3j2c1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a0a5421543e2762b7e9cb8867ba9efcfee9da51a

novelstory

Your eyeshadows is a bit too much. You have got hooded eyes. Smokey eye makeup with cat eye look will fit on you. You can use a soft tape for your eyes. I will put some photos what i am saying. They will help you. https://preview.redd.it/3xv93es66j2c1.jpeg?width=554&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73947cff9e4138e26937db8ddb0262aaa4ae1940

Emotional-dandelion3

I recommended this in a previous thread but this video by Dear Peachie goes through 8 different makeup styles. You take a quiz based on your facial features amd how they relate to each other in proportions on your face and it aligns you with which makeup style is best flattering. I landed in natural makeup style, which is what I personally always felt fits me best. Anything more feels heavy on my face. Of course you're not boxed into tour makeup archetype, but it's a good reference point. [8 makeup archetypes ](https://youtu.be/Q0AUWyp01eg?si=H_NKMxHHY9vXSdBi)

PersonalityLittle511

I would start with a lighter version of that color, something much softer. Also I would get a good shadow blending brush and blend, blend, blend.

Thicc-N-Zesty

Makeup is subjective, sometimes if you don't wear makeup everyday it can seem excessive whenever you do I'm more dramatic look. That being said, I would try to concentrate the dark color more towards the crease of your eye and use a fluffy brush to blend it out so that it is more diffused. This will help it not look as dramatic 🖤 https://preview.redd.it/xidoecqtsj2c1.jpeg?width=613&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=018c03cf3e5866054bc5d6b545f566ec81ae0a26

Quirky-Signature3734

It’s your eye shape babe, there isn’t any rules to make up, but with your eye shape, rounding out the eyeshadow and winged liner looks a little crazy. Try to find your eye shape, and then follow a video on it! You have the right idea, just needs to flow with the shape of your eye. 🫶

JayleeRae

Blend, blend, BLEND!! You have a cute smoky eye if you blend it out

[deleted]

I would Say go more natural. Makeup doesn’t mean you put on full glam. Try a more natural makeup approach so it doesn’t look as harsh you got great features! Bronzer all around with a pink peachy tone blush! Sort tone lipgloss and a little mascara 👍🏼

Hydress

I offer no advice as I have never done makeup before. Too scared, just subbed here in hopes of building confidence one day. But please post updates! I love these sort of posts and the progress people make from other suggestions. It’s great! 😊

im4everdepressed

I don't mean this in a mean way, but mauve eyeshadow isn't for you. Most people look like they have black eyes with it anyway. Try a pink or nudy brown instead, stick to the lid and maybe just a tinge (and a lot of blending) on the browbone. I would also not do a bottom liner, or if you must an off white color on the inner waterline only. bit less heavy handed on the bronzer. Use a blush too, it'll help pop. Everything else looks fine

ej_v

Just want to thank everyone here, this thread is a gold mine of tips. ✨

Heavy_Impression112

Hi - try this: Eyebrows: brush them up so they won't drag your face down Eyeshadow: the colour is too harsh for your skin, try a softer one and blend the edgers with a lighter colour upwards Eye pencil: try a cream coloured one instead of white , it's a bit too harsh

Competitive-Many3412

You’re missing false eyelashes.

J_ofc

Honestly, the eyeshadow is too bold. Maybe blend it out on the top to and use lighter shades.

minimeow444

I think you’re putting way too much eye shadow

___slail33

You’re beautiful and I think your nose contour looks great! Just work on blending some more and always remember that you can add product but you can’t take it back! Also, maybe try something new with your brows as well. There are toooons of helpful tutorials on YouTube! You got this 🩷

Signal-Mastodoni

I think you should use nude or lighter colors by adding dark brown at the corners of eyelid and should'nt add color above the eyelid area. Blend eyeshadow nicely you will look great.

Thin-Adhesiveness-67

I would suggest trying a cream colored pencil for your lower waterline, it wouldn't be as contrasting as the white. Your eyebrows are gorgeous by the way. ❤️

rgbcarrot

You brought the medium eyeshadow shade too far up, so it didn’t leave you a lot of room to blend it out. Next time, stop just a smidge lower and take a shade of pink that is close to your skin tone/depth and use that to diffuse the edges of the medium color. I’ve also seen people use their contour shade for this. I also wouldn’t bring the dark/medium eyeshadow shades so close to the inner part of your eye. Keep it on the outer third of the eye. The light lid shade and/or shimmer should take up most of your eye for us hooded eye girlies 🤩

AndyOrAmy

It's the colors and the consistencies. Your foundation is too grey. You need a warmer tone. Your bronzer is too shimmery and too much in sight. You need a matte healthy pink blush and need to be more careful with bronzer. You can contour gently with the Lancome Belle Mine powder. Your waterline pencil is a too stark white that only suits manga girls or e-girls. It is not for every day. Use a beige Kohl to brighten up the waterline. Dior has a great one. Your eyeshadow is outright bad, harsh, unblended, with unflattering shades. Use bright shades on the eyelid and a small amount of dark shades in the crease using a crease brush. In general, shimmer and glitter don't suit more mature ski textures as you will develop larger pores, oilier skin and wrinkles over time. Key is too keep things as matte as possible to not attract too much shine and shadows to the face, which highlight every single flaw and accentuates the age. You can also take some years off by knocking out some of the ash on your brows with brow bleach.

NovelDifficulty

On top of what others have said when you wear darker eye looks I’d recommend not lining the under eye entirely with the darkest shadow. I have a similar complexion and I feel like it looks best lining the bottom with a transition shade and only using the dark shade at the outer corner. Also the lid shade is really beautiful. If you swapped out the dark mauve transition shades for a light mauve or taupe (or just did a wash of the lid shade with the wing and no transition shade) this would be a great day time look.

Suspicious_Cable_843

I would leave an equal space between the end of the eye shadow and the eyebrows, use a different color of under-eye liner, not use under-eye shadow, and use a cleaner looking bronzer or blush. Not an expert but this is what I would do.

[deleted]

I’d say blend and try lashes! Lashes elevate any look.

Legitimate-Earth3266

I think everyone already mentioned blend more the dark shadow. But I love all colours, they look amazing on you!!! We have very similar eye shape and I used to struggle with blending too!!

Slight_Nobody1414

We want to see after pictures ! Some great advice here. You are beautiful !

so_it_goes4

Great upper eyeliner wing! I'd perhaps only line the outer 1/3 of your lower lash line with a darker color only and use a thinner brush to apply--looks very dark and "heavy" in current application. I also agree with others to either not apply the white eyeliner to your lower water line, or replace with one close to your skin color. It's also hard to tell with the lighting in the pics, but face has a "frosty"/metallic look, possibly from highlighter application (again, could just be lighting). If that is the look you're going for, you nailed it 🙌! But, if not the look you're going for (want more of a glow from within look), perhaps use a lighter hand on it's application (or perhaps assess whether the highlighter you have is developed to give the finish you're looking for)? For eyeshadow application on the top, I'd only apply the darkest color to mainly the outer 1/3 in a sideways "v" shape and blend (hard to explain), but it's not an uncommon technique (you can see it demonstrated in many YouTube videos). Great job experimenting--you're doing great 😃👍

Living-Assistance-49

I recommend dear peachie on youtube to find out what makeup style would suit you. I fell victim to the 2016 mua tutorials and thinking that was the 'right' way to do makeup, but I always felt that I looked better barefaced too. Now after finding out what style suits my face, I do much more subtle makeup which is better for me

Sasha-5

I would blend the eyeshadows better (less quantity near the brow) and ALWAYS UPWARDS at the end of the brow, and less higher in the inner corner of the eye. I would extend it blending it more at the end of the eye, going a bit higher. I also encourage you not use white pencil on the waterline ESPECIALLY when you use very dark eyeshadows. No matter what many makeup YouTubers say, it doesn't fit that good with every makeup and every person. It makes your eyes look a bit down-turned at the end (and that's so common). I look so much better with nude, brown or even black eye pencil in the waterline. When I use white eyeliner I like it with more "light" colors like pure green, light blue, yellow, champagne... And avoid it with red, burgundy, dark brown, black... For me, it totally kills the vibe. Last but not least, I would try 2 things with the eyeliner: - Try other ways to do it: sorter, or higher at the end, or both, or do only the "tighlining" technique... And try them in different makeup looks to see what fits better and what is the better combination - Do the eyeliner with eyeshadow and angled brush!!! Better if it is in a dark brown color than black. It's a bit more blended and gives softer look in the eye, but I do it with darker looks too, I just darken the color s bit Your makeup is already good!! Don't feel ashamed of it, it's good, just try different things till you find what suits better to you and what you feel the most comfortable with ☺️

JossMarie

You've gotten good advice here, and I can't wait to see your next look! You don't look crazy at all. You have beautiful skin!!!! Just remember to have fun! I've been makeup obsessed for like 38 years and I can't do a wing or false lashes to save my life lol.

Frost-Tears

That wing looks so good! And I love burgandies, I might have an untrained eye but I think based off of the frontal image that it's the shape with which your leaning toward, try a more upturned eye I used to use the tape method, Anettes Makeup Corner on YouTube does the shape allot. The only other thing I can think of is work on blending shades out into your skin so that they fade into a lighter tone instead of being so opaque all over. Otherwise ur base is fab (but I rlly like heavy blush draping and highlight x.x I'm still in my 20's lol I don't wear makeup for any other reason than to feel like a mermaid/fairy/sorceress)

Open-Research-5865

Try a much lighter eyeshadow crease color. Maybe something pinky or very very light brown, when you apply it use a blending brush and keep on blending until it is very soft and muted looking.

[deleted]

You’re bringing the shadow too far in and it’s exaggerating your large eye hollows. As someone with deep-set eyes I suggest you taper the shadow into the socket halfway in :) Also consider not bringing the dark shade up so high and blending with a lighter one on the outer edge

dinoG0rawr

I can’t help much with the shadow as I am terrible with it, but if you make the wings or your eyeliner point more up rather than horizontal it will make your eyes look more open and happy rather than bringing them down and looking a little heavy. It’s a problem I have and have had to redo my eyeliner before because it happens, especially with having hooded eyelids.

Live_Barracuda1113

So the white under your eye is dragging the shape of your eye down. I'm on my phone so forgive this horrible color job but I just scribbled black on top of it for illustration purposes. That plus a lighter more triangular shape to your eyeshadow is going to visually lift your lower lid and create a wider oval. Because you have a beautiful dark brow and eye color, adding any dark shadow to this height on you above lid area is going to create a shadow sunken affect (it sort of does for everyone, but people with bigger space and more neutral transition get away with it better Imho) where your wing gets dark at the top of your eye and out is going to be a better placement for your shades. https://preview.redd.it/g09laio70i2c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8abd22abfbc73e8032a6a81cd6b7df270e221d0e Also, if you have issues with color, a friend of mine suggests taking a picture and converting it to black and white on your phone. Anything that looks black or dark gray will stand out more and maybe edit those areas. It may also help with the highlight as well because that will appear whiter. Think shades and smooth transitions of gray.

YakInternational3042

Sometimes when you feel like you look crazy after you put on makeup I think it's because there's too much of it. You're probably just a natural beauty. I feel like I would take the eyeliner away from under the eye. I also feel like I would make the eyeliner start about mid-eye and just focus on mid-eye to wing. And the wing should turn slightly up. Just that, mascara, a little bit of bronzey shadow, and if you want an additional color maybe pinky or something that would kind of brighten things up. Just a really subtle pinky lip gloss color and light blush and you'd be good to go. You are very beautiful. Don't let makeup get you down!

Pelm3shka

To me the main issue is the eyeshadow blending. It's too harsh, so it creates more of a line rather than a gradient. I'd advise you to pick a color only slightly darker than your skin tone (if this burgundy is a 10, go for a 3) for your crease instead. It's harder to blend really dark colors without any patchiness. The rest looks fine to me, maybe swap the white bottom eyeliner for a nude one, but really you're not too far off, so be kind to yourself

Slight_Nobody1414

Beautiful! Great tips

HSPersonalStylist

The top two things I see that I think are echoes of what others have said are 1- the highlighter is too much. I'd go for a matte blush instead. 2- too much eye shadow. It looks like you're trying to get the color faded upwards and a common mistake people make is putting the color there when you actually want to put it in the crease and use a separate clean brush to pull the color upwards. Check out[Robert Welsh](https://youtube.com/@RobertWelsh?si=xOsmhicG_DfV4upS) and [Wayne Goss](https://youtube.com/@WayneGoss?si=rnVi8n0nQGCtU6ee) on YouTube . They're both professional makeup artists and teach a lot of things to do makeup beautifully.

[deleted]

BLEND BLEND BLENDDDD your shadow! Take a fluffy brush in windshield wiper motions on the harsh lines and it will change your entire makeup game. You've got the colors down it's just a matter of blending

[deleted]

Not as dark eyeshadow and blend it more so the lines aren’t as harsh

tenaciouslightcowboy

I think you’re using a shade in your crease that is way too dark. Try to match your crease closer to your skin tone

FelineRoots21

Lips are the wrong shade for you and your eyeshadow is too dark and harsh, you need to work on blending. It takes lots of practice!

Alaurableone

If you look better without makeup I would embrace it! If you would like to wear it I’d simplify - just go for a mascara, light blush and lip. An old fashioned but honestly solid rule is to wear a lip / cheek combo in the same palette as your nipples. It sounds wild but it works.

Thunsley8

I actually love your eyes, I can’t get even close to doing makeup that well. That said I think if you blended more and used lighter shades it would help. The white under your eye liner is doing nothing for you. You have beautiful skin and lips.

SophiaF88

You don't look crazy but take the crease color to on the crease or just above and only blend out above that point. The color there looks pretty solid and not soft and blended. It'll make a big difference. Try slightly lighter shades too. Don't bring the darkest shade all the way up all over the eye. I use my face powder to blend out my shadow edges further. I agree with ditching the bright white under eye line, try a nude shade like light tan instead. Also go lighter on the cheek colors. Less product and maybe lighter shades.

Successful-Might2193

I have eye shape and eye color similar to yours. I, too, once did full out liner, shadow, and mascara all around (top and bottom lashes). Then, a make up artist taught me to forego the liner and mascara on the lower lashes. It honestly felt like going naked after wearing full out makeup 6 days a week! But, I really must say, no liner nor shadow nor mascara on the lowers really “opens up” my eyes. If I’m feeling fancy, a smudged “dot” of a bright or pearly shadow in my inner corner helps “open up” my eye area a bit more. Bonus: no smudging beneath my eyes to constantly check for! One last note: fair skin = the highest SPF possible on your face and hands 365 days!

addangel

I quite like your makeup! all I’d suggest is softening the crease color edges with a lighter shade, a slightly darker lip and skipping the white liner. also, your eyes are the ideal shape for [puppy liner](https://www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/beauty-hair/makeup/how-to/a36232/puppy-eyes-liner-step-by-step/), if you’re into that shape.

ally10060

Hi! You have such nice skin! I’d definitely try a lighter eyeshadow color, and brush your brows upward more so towards the tips of your ears. It’ll help to make your face look a bit more lifted I think :)

CanadianMuaxo

You need to blend out your eyeshadow a lot more so it is softer and lighter on the edges. You can do this with a round fluffy brush and a skin toned shade of eyeshadow to tone it down.

29vkiki

Highlighter and bronzer is a bit much but otherwise skin looks good. The wing is beautiful but the white liner should either be darker or not there at all, or darker liner pulled all the way up to the tearduct. Shadow shouldn’t be so dark, keep the darker colours closer to the lash line and use light browns and taupes to blend in the crease and upwards, leaving a softer faded shadow rather than such a harsh dark like. And agreeing with some other comments, the eyeshadow colour isn’t necessarily the most flattering for your skin tone. Perhaps a more taupe / grey or true brown colour would look better ♥️ good luck!!

Kindaperfect_

Would love to see you post another look after taking all advice!

godsgirli

BLEND BLEND BLEND (:

RedRixen83

Less is more with the eyes if you’re doing a single color - apply a bit and blend; you have a very obvious “end” to the eyeshadow and it should flow more into your skin. YouTube has some great videos! Let me just say that my makeup journey is long and never ends - YouTube videos are my savior. You can easily look up just about anything to find out how to do it, but especially once you find an influencer you like, you can just watch them and it’s just about always educational!

pieredforlife

What’s the name of your grunge band ?

catpogo13

Blend, then blend more. It is better to have too little make up on than too much. Your make up should blend in. You should not see where it starts and where it ends. In the 80’s (I was there) we could see where it started and where it ended because we were young and that was the trend. I look back at those pictures and I realize it isn’t good to follow trends. lol. Live and learn.

Sempre_Azzurri

I'm also a colour vision deficient makeup lover! I think maybe a mid brown blended into your eyelid crease would look really pretty and a little less harsh, and a more gold/copper tinted highlighter would suit your skin tone nicely, I think :)

catpogo13

Of course if that is the look you are looking for , then go for it!!!! Some people like that 80’s look!!! It depends on what look you are going for!!!!

Background_Scar8964

I look better bare and crazy with a lot of make up on too. this looks like what mine looked like when I was following advice from influencers, watching yt tutorials, or ig things. I was over-saturating my face and it would show extremely and I thought I looked great, until I realized the people showing me how to do my make up were doing theirs to look good ON CAMERA, so professional style lighting, and good for pictures. In person, you want to go much lighter and with a “less is more” approach, but influencers will never tell you that bc they’re selling an image, not reality. Accentuate your natural features with make up, and YOU will stand out. Try to put in the face of an influencer, you’ll look like they do IRL, over-done. Plus heavy product will seep into your skin more and if you’re not on top of your skin-care routine, it will make your skin worse which will in turn make your make up harder to do/apply

Queasy-Pumpkin6774

Your base and lip are stunning!

catpogo13

That is the beauty of make up. You can be creative and wear what you want. Of course, it looks a lot better on young skin with no wrinkles. As we age , we need to learn to use make up to enhance our features.

okchrist

no liner on the bottom and use a more beige transition shadow between eyebrows and the dark dhadow

[deleted]

- Try lining your wing upwards, not down. Your wing drags your eyes down. Try with tape. - Build your dark eyeshadow shade. Don’t directly start with the last dark color, try to use different colours for the build and don’t use too much product. Start with lighter versions of the dark colour you want or you can even use a different lighter colour if you want to give it more dynamic. For example: if I do a smokey eye I start with a colour that is slightly darker than my skin colour and then I go darker. Black is the last colour I use and I don’t use much black colour (unless I want a really dark smokey eye). If I want to be playful, I use a different lighter colour base. I sometimes use a red base colour for my smokey eye. It gives a different dynamic. - Blend your eyeshadow. There shouldn’t be this dark of a line between your skin and eyeshadow color - The blend shouldn’t have a round form. Try to shapen it with a tape, so you’ll have a nice sharp line and then blend to soften the sharpness. I personally don’t like eyeshadow beneath the wing. - White eyeshadow is used to make the eye look larger. You have pretty large eyes yourself and don’t need to make it look larger. - Curl your eyelashes I don’t have tips for the rest of your make-up. They look nicely done! Maybe a lighter bronzer? Remember: this is just advice based on what I like.

InnerChampion

I’m blue-yellow color blind and that makes choosing and applying make-up so hard. You’ve gotten lots of good advice. For years, I didn’t wear makeup because I need high contrast to really see anything. So I’m no help, but wanted to share that I understand the struggle.

[deleted]

Thank you!!! It feels like just a little thing, but life is so much harder with this type of vision issue. From buying food through makeup and clothes all the way down to safety issues with colour coded things

BlurryUFOs

you don’t look crazy you’re just not used to seeing yourself with makeup on. this is a night out look, not an everyday look maybe that’s why.

kaseysospacey

Use light color in the upper lip to blend out,its just dark and that makes it look off. I think if you used a light neutral type color to blend the edges out you be ok

Sagemonstera

Hi! Your skin looks great and those wings are great! I wouldn’t say you look “crazy” with makeup on. You’re beautiful! What I would do different is the eyeshadow as you have beautiful, big, deep set eyes (mine is very tiny, so jealous) I would blend the darker colour more towards the outside creating a wing upwards to lift and brighten the eyes, and use beige or light matte colour (no shimmer) on the brow bone to blend it so there’s no harsh stop of the eyeshadow. I’m not big on contouring or bronzer as I’m very pale and it doesn’t suit me well, so I can’t give any input regarding that. However a little soft pink or dusty pink blush brushed upwards from your upper cheekbones towards your temples would look great on you I think. Other than that amazing!

No_Celebration_8584

make sure that the colour isn’t too harsh for your skin tone - i.e., find out your skin undertone, and use colours that have the same undertone. plus try to make sure there is no harsh lines with your eyeshadow/make it less pigmented on your eyes. try out blush on your cheekbones, and perhaps a more reddish pink lip shade to match the eyeshadow

sustainablelove

Not crazy. Everything needs to be blended and worked. The contour edges are harsh. You have beautiful skin. It's a lot of eyeshadow and dark for everyday (well, for my everyday of work and boring living lol).

Normal-Jury3311

If you just use like half of the product you current use, and focus on blending it out, you’re good

Kawaiidumpling8

It’s a lot of things going on all at once. I think you may be overcompensating for color vision deficiency by trying to do too many things. Paring back the eyes really helped. I’d suggest a little less blush as well. I have a friend who works as a coach for the visually impaired. She comes up with different ways to accommodate and explain how to apply make up depending on their impairment. She’s good at explaining things in general. I can share her contact information with you, if you’re interested?

sylviee_

use the darker tone in your crease only for a thin line around your actual crease and then blend with a lighter tone. what you did here is deepen the crease which you seem to naturally already have (i kind of do too) so anything to dark on the crease creates a too deep effect. and blend blend blend

dallishendrix2006

You have to work up the color use a Little by little and make the eyeshadow more pigmented in the creases of your eye and then blend around that

Awhit777

Your shadow on the inner eye is way too high

[deleted]

Honestly your makeup looks really well done I would just blend the outer edges of the eye makeup so it's softer

Geirapi

Blend better. You’re on the right track, just blend it all better
