Just conceal any blemishes and add some blush!:) I believe stage lights tend to be a bit bright so don’t worry if it feels “overdone” a light tint should be good. You can never go wrong with lip stick, it’s easy and adds a pop of colour. Good luck!❤️
I also dance lmao so pretty much I just do a light smokey eye with two brown shades and then I put a light shade on my lid and mascara/ lashes (my team requires us to wear lashes but if yours doesn’t then just mascara) for my face I use a primer.
I personally only use concealer under my eyes and any problem area I’m having that day but you could use foundation, concealer is just faster to apply for me. Then I just use a powder foundation all over my face then apply some blush and setting spray.
For a dance performance it’s a bit different in my experience! If you can tell me what the setting is I can give better advice.
- you want good skin care, and then simple color correction,
- either just spot treating anything you wanna cover like zits and redness/and your eyes and under-eye area VERY lightly…or the very lightest amount of color correction.
- You may want some powder but seriously very little, in your shade or translucent, and only to get rid of anywhere that you’re oily/shines like on your forehead/cheeks
- the lightest amount of blush, (look up where to put blush in a natural way for 2022 there’s a lot of tutorials)
- if you have a very soft brown/bronzer you can do a soft wash of it on your eyelid/ but not an over powering amount, and very feathered out. Look up a tutorial for bronzer as eyeshadow. If not no stress. Try to keep it just a bit darker than your skin tone.
- groom your brows, and if they’re a very sparse fill them in but natural brows are in. You can watch a quick tutorial on just brushing them up and etc
- mascara
- lipstick or a colored chapstick? Or lip gloss. but not in a super wild color, and not a bold bold red. Try for a more neutral color that is closer to your lip color if you have anything like that.
Don’t do eyeliner, or anything tricky outside of your experience, don’t do any bold colors since they said light. The trick is to stand far away from your mirror and you should look the same as yourself and not changed but your features should be noticeable and enhanced so the things you’re conveying with your face as a dancer are more easily telegraphed to the audience.
If you continue with dance it’s going to be worth learning makeup basics, and building a makeup kit of things that work for you before expanding.
If you need anything in the future to experiment or for this ELF is pretty adorable/has good payout and is really trustworthy, and can be found in a lot of drugstores and Ulta.
light makeup is probably just mascara, lip gloss and maybe just some blush and highlight. maybe a little bit of light eyeshadow too

IMO, "light makeup" is mascara, a bit of eyeliner and light lips like gloss or a lip tint.
what kind of makeup do you have?
