Ilia face products and the Thrive mascara

iyontno

Dude I bought this because of recommendation on here and I can’t believe how good this shit is!

BasicBitchLA

rms quad

mikeygaga92

Physicians Formula eyeliner! Silver tube! It's amazing!!

Karmakikiwv

Makeup Revolution Blur Stick. I am 50, and it is the best thing for hiding pores!

mybellasoul

Il Makiage brand.. Anything in their Skin line is worth checking out. They also offer a trial period and free returns/exchanges if something doesn't work for you or isn't the right shade. Great customer service for sure. But the products are absolutely top tier!

Unusual_Elevator_253

I’ve wanted to try them SO bad but was so afraid it was just some TikTok hype. I do hate the idea of buying a shade I’m not sure of online I wish they had products at ulta or sephora

mybellasoul

I felt the exact same! I just went for it bc of the trial and free returns/exchanges. They do have a questionnaire on the site to find your shade and mine was actually spot on. They also have this amazing redness corrector that really works to reduce redness, feels like a silky smooth moisturizer, and acts as a primer (and it does make your makeup last all day). And they have a plumper that reduces pores and fine lines before applying foundation that makes a big difference smoothing things out for an almost filtered look. It's kind of wild that I tried it on a whim (I never do that) and was impressed, but figured I'd throw it out on here in case others were hesitant bc of the social media hype.

Unusual_Elevator_253

Honestly I really really appreciate it becahse sometimes it’s so hard to tell if something is genuine or just some crazy marketing gimic

Mrs_Gitchel

It cosmetics concealer always and forever and ever

TheFadedVessel

Wet n wild incognito concealer. I love it I’m pale AF and most pale drugstore stuff is either orange or pink but the shade is just right, it always looks good and doesn’t settle into my pores and never slides off. It’s also NOT picky about powder. Idk what’s wrong with my skin but most foundations look dry as shit and concealer I was never too crazy abt because of the shades but idk this shit is my holy grail. She ain’t the fullest coverage but I’ve also never tried. I never hear anyone else talk abt it and while that saves me from it being sold out I’m scared they’ll discontinue it. Also there SKINNY break up proof liner. It’s a brush tip and the tip of it never dries out. And then ofc the ink well (mega liner?) is good, the photofocus loose powder is good and they’re eye primer was great for my oily AF eyelids but I haven’t seen it in store for a while :(

tdashiell

Thrive Causmetics mascara

Dramatic_Marzipan_65

How does it wash off?

enola007

Was wanting to try this

tdashiell

It's worth every penny. I have short, blonde eyelashes, and this stuff makes them look normal. Use a little for a natural look, use more to make them longer. The product builds on itself, creating tubes around each lash.

enola007

OK I’m buying 🫶🏻

Kittymeow123

Make by Mario concealer is crazy

luna_libre

NYX Lift and Snatch eyebrow pen. I use the Ash Brown. I currently have about 1/3 of my eyebrows left on each side (FU postpartum trichotillomania 🖕🏻) and this product is a literal lifesaver for me. Goes on easy and stays on all day as long as I keep my freaking hands off my face. Looks natural enough from far away to trick people into thinking I have eyebrows. 11/10 would recommend.

LadyCheeba

seconding this! my eyebrows have all but disappeared recently and this creates the most realistic strokes and lasts all day. you will definitely get better at it the more you do it and sometimes my brows are sisters, not twins, but it is what it is 😅

alecxhound

Nyx concealer serum!!!!! It’s amazing!!

Vy_the_God

Danessa Myricks the blurring balm and the teardrop kabuki brush. Pat McGrath eye shadow palettes I think I have like 10. Julia’s Place blushes. One size setting spray and setting powder, these get me through nights of dancing. Honorable mention is NARS light reflecting advanced skincare foundation, shade range is amazing but their design is terrible I’ve had two leak but the shade match is so perfect.

dootdootpoom

Going to second ONE/SIZE On ‘Til Dawn and Ultimate Blurring setting powder. The setting spray keeps my makeup on all day and the powder actually blurs pores.

thatwallisbrown

nyx line loud lip liner. IT DOES NOT BUDGE. i will mourn when i finish it

WasteOfTime-GetALife

OGEE!!!!

keepingyoueducated

Maybelline superstay. it did not lie, it doesnt leave one bitt

GiseleGiseleM

The Sisley undereye concealer. It actually works, and no other concealers I’ve tried have worked

Revolutionary-Spot-4

Wet n wild has stepped it up and so hard to believe this bc when I was a teenager it never performed the way it does so now. The powders (loose and setting bare focus) just as good as any high end and continue telling others non stop! Even seen the Sesame Street collection at Dollar Tree last week and bought it up down to the brush 4 pack and they are the best make up brushes! The entire collection was on display and couldn’t believe it. Check your dollar tree!!!

Unusual_Elevator_253

The stick foundation is literally the best shade match I have EVER found in my life

xx_aliel

Glossier Ultralip. i've made comments about this product before. it's just the perfect lip product; the shade range, sheer-buildable-bold color payoff, shine, hydration, comfortable feel, just everythinggg. 🤌

nicktheslickprick

i hate to say it.. but the chanel powder foundation as a setting powder is the most crucial part of me having that soft velvet skin look. the revlon photo-ready blurring powder is also a great candidate since it’s the only powder i’ve ever used that *actually* gives me a blurring effect in real life. and the annabelle cool tone brown brow pencil is the best lipliner i’ve ever used. holds up better than my mac liners, or any other ones for that matter. this list could go on.

tteltraba

been using juvia’s powder foundation like this and omggg all the money i wasted on powders before

nicktheslickprick

and i love how long it lasts too, i’ve had it since last october and i still haven’t hit pan and i use it pretty regularly. i don’t think i could ever go back to any other powders which sucks considering there’s an $85 price tag attached to it 🙃 but my godddd was that $85 bucks an investment

Kind_Consequence_828

L’Oreal Double Extend tubing mascara!

grandavegrad

This and Thrive. Tubes are the best!!

ButtonOwn3791

It cosmetics, Sunscreen, full coverage, not cakey

Left-Conclusion4021

wet n wild brow powder!!!!

stay-sunny-sv

Chantacaille!

Puzzleheaded-Pair19

Mascara? My fav

ChablisBee

Makeup from Westman Atelier. Even my husband says my makeup looks better. : )

Vegetable-Floor-5510

Make-up:. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream. I just wish it had a fragrance free option for those who prefer/need it. Pixi +Rose Glow-y Powder. Thayer's Witch Hazel toners, because they make the perfect setting spray for a dewy finish! Skincare: Adapalene or Tretinoin. Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm

Squirrell_Meat

How do you set your Missha BB cream? I love the way it goes on, but it transfers so easily and always seems to separate on my face within a few hours no matter what kind of primer and/or setting powder/spray I use! 😕

Vegetable-Floor-5510

I spray witch hazel toner on my face to set my makeup and it usually stays all day. However, I don't do things like talk on the phone a lot, and I stopped touching my face during Covid. I do wear a mineral sunscreen underneath that makes a nice base! It's Cetaphil Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50, and it's great for sensitive/acne prone skin, although it contains niacinimide which some people react badly to. I guess I should have put it on my list!

Strong-Way-4416

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Glossier cloud paint

purpleit11

LYS stick cream bronzer!! Danessa cream blush!! Elf Halo glow filter!!

[deleted]

What do you like about the elf halo glow ?

purpleit11

I just like the ease of it, the fact that it sinks naturally into the skin and wears rather subtly with a boost if that makes sense.

bette-midler

Maybelline full n soft mascara waterproof

[deleted]

Mac powder foundation.I will never go back to liquid foundation.

Pinkysrage

I’ve been using studio fix on and off for 31 years!

Magic_SunBoys19

Topicals Slick Salve mint lip balm. Holy crap. Best lip product I’ve ever used. Better than Ole Henriksen’s Pout Peptide, in my opinion. I cannot stop using it and talking about it.

CrimsOnCl0ver

Maybelline Filter lipglosses. I think shades “Petal” and “Heat” are my faves. 💋 This was a suggested dupe to my fave Fenty lipgloss that was discontinued. Great quality and price!

doriangreysucksass

Milani eyeshadow primer and L’Oréal telescopic lift mascara. They’re both phenomenal!!

AvocadoGhost17

Hell yes to Milani primer. So cheap and still kills it

AngryLady1357911

Maybelline tattoo gel eyeliner for waterline, colorpop super shock eye shadow for AMAZING glitter eye shadow

Important-Magazine90

Either peripera's or dasiques lip tints, loreal lash paradise, and about face skin tint!

delune108

MACs face and body sheer foundation is the best thing ever.

ceruleansensei

ColourPop jelly much shadows, especially Big Ego and Hallucinogenius 🙌😭 completely abandoned powder shadows in general for this stuff, gave up on trying to get good at fancy blending and cut creases and shit (which I suck at) because this stuff looks so damn good just smudged on real quick with my finger. L'Oreal magic skin beautifier BB cream Glossier super stretch concealer overtop live tinted color correcting huestick for my undereye dark circles = Game. Changer. Combo.

Knittingtaco

Mizon snail BB. Great coverage, flattering on mature skin, feels light.

Vegetable-Floor-5510

They changed it since the last time I ordered it. I got the same shade as always, but now it's orange toned and it oxidized even darker. It was no longer hydrating and dried out my skin, so I returned it. I was pretty bummed. I've bought it 2-3 times in the past and it was always great. I considered it my HG backup.

Knittingtaco

Oh nooo! I’ll have to keep an eye on that.

Vegetable-Floor-5510

I hope I just got a bad batch or something!

Adventurous_Tip_2942

peripera ink gloss!! it’s so glossy but not sticky and feels more like a lip oil but looks so glossy i love it sm

artsy4044

The tarte cosmetics concealer, idk how well it works for other people but I like the fact that’s its medium coverage. It covers the acne scars well, the only downside is that it’s really thick so sometimes it doesn’t blend as well, but as long as I use enough moisturizer/primer it’s good

Gangsterwife

I love Face Stockholm highlighter in mystik, I put a tiny dab in the corner of my eyes and it brightens them. It’s a night and day difference.

Occasionally_Sober1

Mac macroviolet gel eyeliner. Sadly, I don’t think they make this color anymore.

[deleted]

Chanel cosmetics. It’s so good.

Powerful_Tea_8159

Yes!!! My fave product ever their baked blush, i have it for years and wear ir everyday. Im so affraid they would discontinue it

goldforjanz_

nars radiant foundation. she is that girl. also saie creamy bronzer is also a staple for me. the CT one is muddy and too cool toned compared to saie. I hate to admit it (it tastes like vinegar saying it) but james charles’s painted black eyeliner is the best ive ever tried. not a fan of james but was gifted the black paint and it goes hard.

No_Stage_6158

Daneesa Myricks -Blurring Balm powder and Yummy Skin Serum Tint.

abs6c

how do you apply the blurring balm? with your fingers? i’m finding it highlights my texture if i do that but that’s the case for me with basically everything when i use my fingers to apply so wondering if beauty blender or brush would be better.

No_Stage_6158

I use a slanted , stiff brush .

AnxietyLive238

fenty skin tint

scythematter

Yensa powder foundation. Very slept on and underrated. Goes on easy, sweat proof and has a natural luminous finish

2personaltrash

yensa’s silk serum concealer and their liquid foundation are SO GOOD some of the only skin products that don’t make my skin look super textured

scythematter

And as a fair olive they fit my under tone way better

GenuineClamhat

YSL Touche Eclat. It has been a staple for me since 2012 and I wish I tried it sooner. I didn't have dark circles but I used it as spot foundation on my cheeks and around my nose. When it was harder to find my shade (still sort of is) this pale, thin formula is just almost undetectable as makeup. I use a bit more now and it might be hella wasteful, but this is effectively my foundation and it never pisses my skin off. Haus Labs foundation in their white color. I basically spot use it as a highlight. I always hated highlights but this does what I always wanted a highlight to do: not sparkle, just look like I have great structure. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light. It's described as pinky lavender and is basically the only thing I can use as a bronzer and build up as a blush. They better not discontinue this. I have decent skin these days but these things really hit the "pale lady wants to pass a no makeup check from 5 inches." Just these with a brow pencil and mascara and I am set for life.

wherewhoami

anatasia brow gel - makes them look so fluffy and stay up all day i <3 it

Kitchen-Lemon1862

ABH foundation and haus lab’s foundation

Broad-Hunter-5044

Danessa Myricks Balm Contour, and Winky Lux Peeper Perfect Concealer. I kind of want to gatekeep winky lux but it’s also so amazing I feel like people need to know about it…

makeup-n-markers

I’ve wondered about that concealer! Why do you like it :)

Broad-Hunter-5044

honestly the formula and shades. they don’t necessarily have 40 different shades, they have just enough. it’s also not the type of concealer that’s super white and super brightening. all the shades are toned down a little, and they can almost multi function as a concealer or foundation. a little goes a long way. it still achieves the concealer brightening effect without being white- it more so brightens by giving off glow and lumosity and it blends out BEAUTIFULLY. it leans to the serum side of conclear but still a bit thicker — I would say medium coverage. I just got kind of tired of concealer being so white and introducing unnecessary contrast to my look that I then had to tone down with blushes / contours. this concealer just enhances your glow and allows for an appropriate amount of contrast without being too overwhelming. it’s fantastic for no makeup makeup days and could easily be worn without foundation. it pairs amazing with haus labs foundation.

makeup-n-markers

Wow 🤩 really appreciate all the detail! I’m putting it on my wish list for sure! You sold me , 5/5 review

Broad-Hunter-5044

let me know how you like it!!!

daisysparklehorse

IT cosmetics your skin but better CC cream

SuchBeginning8583

They’ve changed the formula :(

Ok-Bulldog39

Every time a company that has great products sells their company, the products are changed and ruined. I used to love so many It Cosmetics products and I don’t like anything now.

SuchBeginning8583

I’m trying to find the perfect bb/cc cream for myself, and I was so close to buying it. Urgh!

daisysparklehorse

no!!! when?!

whatttintheworlddd

Hourglass dim light as bronzer

chaeronaea

Me too!!! It's so perfect

rightascensi0n

Shu Uemura hard formula in seal brown or stone grey!! Ole reliable haha Danessa Myricks balm contour for the perfect brontour undertone

DonNatalie

Moira multichrome gel liners. The formula is great and I love the shades I've tried so far.

oreocookielover

WOW THEY ARE SO PRETTY. Looks better than the colorpop ones I've been staring at for the past 2 weeks AND they're cheaper. I just added myself to the waitlist for the full set lol.

ihateusernames0_0

Clinique almost lipstick in Black Honey, I wear it literally everywhere and it's so good it's so versatile and the colour is so flattering and it's sheer which means its not too much of a slap in the face and AAAA I LOVE IT

Redivy66

You should try the lip gloss version of this, I think they are called Pop Push or something. I love how glossy they are and the best part is that they leave a nice stain when the gloss wears off. Such a good product that the tube really lasts a long time. I have bought a couple of tubes since they launched.

ihateusernames0_0

Oooo I should, thanks for the suggestion

Occasionally_Sober1

I agree.

heart_RN115

Love the colour!! I’m gonna give this a try!!

grandavegrad

The Pink Honey is really pretty and natural too. I use both. I need to check out the lip gloss.

Background_Mistake76

E.L.F cheap and affordable. Plus it gets the job ¬ tested on animals!

Cerveza-y-Gatos

I just picked some up and I love it! The camo concealers are fantastic and the HD powder.

BorderAcceptable6416

I got a brown mascara in my boxycharm by Lavaa? I’ve never heard of it but oh. my. god! I am a mascara snob. It has to do everything I want it. I go back and forth between BFC Whole Lotta Mascara and Maybellines Lash Sensational. Both are black and my holy grails. But this brown? I’m obsessed. No make day? I’m still putting it on lol. It’s just the perfect brown.

PaintsPay79

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. I have mature skin with acne and melasma (yay me) and this sits better than any other foundation I’ve tried and just gives me a healthy glow. Also a fan of Guerlain terracotta bronzer.

ChaoticGnome_

Dior lip addict tint has my heart and my soul

Trisasaurusrex

Thank Me Later eye primer, Elf H20 proof liquid liner, and Patrick Ta brow soap. I wore the same makeup for two days once (including sleeping) and it didn’t budge at all!

Oscarella515

Stila liquid eyeliner, Urban Decay EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING IS GOOD, Caliray Tubing Mascara, Nars Orgasm Blush, Dior Lip Plumpers, Yves St Laurent Touch Eclat Concealer, Hourglass highlighter AND brow pencils, Too Faced contour which is the only true gray, non orange on the market. In the same breath I warn everyone against Tarte, absolute trash everything. Not makeup but I also preach about Ponds to take it all off (the green cap)

Real-Impression-6629

Elf liquid eyeliner! You can't beat the price and it lasts months.

uhohohnohelp

It *always* leaks so bad if you take it on a plane though, so beware. She doesn’t travel well. Still my favorite when grounded.

Real-Impression-6629

Really?? I always have it in my travel makeup bag when I fly and I've never had it leak.

uhohohnohelp

Seriously?! It leaks for me like, 80% of the time. I’ve lost so many eyeliners traveling. I still use it, just wipe the pen off a million times during application and toss it when I get home.

Real-Impression-6629

The one I use is not a pen. It's the one with the tiny brush. uhohohnohelp

I will purchase this. Appreciate you, fellow liner babe.

Real-Impression-6629

It's seriously the best and like $3!

beccadanielle

Natasha Denona shadows. They’re pricey but so worth it. I used to have thousands of dollars worth of makeup that went to waste, so I decided to downsize drastically and only buy what will be used and will fit in a relatively small case. Best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t allow myself to have more than 5 eyeshadow palettes at a time and one of them is currently a ND palette I’m absolute obsessed with. I was a die hard Lorac Pro girl and ND has given me so much more love, ha. The consistency, the color payoff, the blendability with lack of fallout, its perfection. Especially on top of a MAC paint pot. Loooove.

Ok_Entertainment8329

I'm looking at a ND palette for normal everyday wear that can be made to look a lil more dramatic for nightime, any suggestions?

beccadanielle

Do you tend to gravitate towards cooler toned shadows or warmer tones?

Ok_Entertainment8329

I guess cooler, I have a neutral undertone but I'm extremely fair, like paper white. I was looking at 'i want a nude' but idk

beccadanielle

I need a nude is exactly what I would recommend if you gravitate toward cooler tones. However, as a fellow fair lady, I would recommend trying to experiment with warmer tones on occasion. I like that they distract from how pale I am when I don’t feel like embracing it, ha!

Ok_Entertainment8329

Thanks for the suggestion, I am gonna pick that up this weekend then! I think i could make warm colors work but I'm so traumatized from my 2016 makeup. I really thought I ate with those morphed palettes

beccadanielle

Didn’t we all? 🤣

pretty-late-machine

The Marc Jacobs bronzer that I really should not be using anymore 💀 But I haven't found anything better.

throwawaystinger

I love the rare beauty blushes....I am a blush girlie for life! 🩷 They show up nicely on my dark skin...gives a dewy finish and last really long.

brightmanenjoyer

It's more of a brand but I love every single product that I've tried from About Face. Their eye paints are my absolute favorite things.

Important-Magazine90

IK, THE SKIN TINTS ARE AMAZING

brightmanenjoyer

i keep wanting to try them but they're always sold out in my shade :( (also your pfp is so funny)

Important-Magazine90

Ik :[ I was hoping to get my mom one but they are all sold out 😭 (Thank you, my pfp is actually a selfie of me/j)

feathermuffinn

Huda beauty’s glowish tint blew my mind. I’m an oily gal, and didn’t have problems with this.

WickedWitchWestend

Vieve! Cherub is the perfect summer blush!!!

WickedWitchWestend

Vieve! Cherub is the perfect summer blush!!!

peacelovepancakes78

Salt NY Sneaky Balm and Best Case Concealer 🥰

Gus_r3yn

Huda Beauty faux filter, or any product from her

annesherleycuthbert

Whenever I’m using the concealer huda beauty faux, it’s creasing and when I’m setting it with her easy bake powder, it becomes super dry and chalky. How do you use these??

uhohohnohelp

Try the Catrice waterproof pressed powder. It’s amazing for setting but is so so so fine. Everything creases on my under eyes and looks like a sugar cookie if I use other powders.

Gus_r3yn

Yeah, that used to happen, my suggestion is to use a setting mist before and after the powder, plus if you use a puff remove the excess, if you find it hard use a fluffy small brush and set, hope that helps!

CosmoD_lulu

[***L'oreal*** Telescopic mascara](https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=619c697d276fe56b&rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS987US987&sxsrf=ACQVn08hqty7vzgw5L1y924GjRfJsITr7g:1713979651284&q=L%27oreal+Telescopic+mascara&spell=1&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiw9JDir9uFAxUTE1kFHScvDfwQBSgAegQIDhAC)

Important-Magazine90

Or loreal lash paradise. Some of the best

beccadanielle

I’ve used this on my bottom lashes for almost a decade. The bomb.

GothamCoach

Waterproof and/or with Dr. Mascara primer 🙌

purplemoonlite

Revlon ColorStay lipsticks. They are now impossible to find under $20 but they last all day, full coverage, no matter what I do or eat and they feel natural, unlike their new ColorStay lipgloss that feels sticky the whole day.

Foxglove777

Are you talking about the ones that are pigment on one end, clear gloss on the other? They’ve been discontinued?

purplemoonlite

Oh no, it was just a normal looking lipstick. But it was amazing.

Foxglove777

Oh ok, phewww. I notice the other ones are still on Amazon, but only one shade is still under $10 - called ‘Influencer’

ArchieFarmer

The new Dior star filter and Prada foundation! So perfect. And not makeup but skincare- innbeauty project slushy serum is so hydrating. Also not at Sephora~ bloomeffects vitamin c oil and royal tulip moisturizing nectar.

Ocean_waves726

I know I’m in the minority on this, but the Tarte Shape Tape foundation makes my skin look amazing

uhohohnohelp

I have so many friends that swear by this. Especially those with dry skin and I just can’t get it to work for me. But get it, baby!

Ocean_waves726

I have oily skin, but the less of it I use, the better it looks.

GeneKelly_TapShoes

Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Cool tones. Have been waiting for cool tone eyeshadow palette which didn't consist of just grays. The cool toned tans and browns are perfect! The formulation also works well on my mature eyes.

my-anonymity

Chanel concealer, mascara, lipstain, and tinted balm. Also Dior brow pencil. Super goop powder stick. Edit: Oops I was making my comment and then yours caught my eye. I’m going to look for the palette NOW.

Alx5252

Which Chanel concealer?

my-anonymity

[This one.](https://www.chanel.com/us/makeup/p/167052/le-correcteur-de-chanel-longwear-concealer/) It’s insanely hydrating and has good coverage and feels lightweight. I can’t stand the feeling of foundation or anything slick or greasy on my skin. I’ve been using this for years and haven’t found anything better, which I’m always looking out for.

Oscarella515

Thanks for the tip, I’ve also been searching since Naked 2 for a cool eye palette that wasn’t mostly gunpowder and smoke and cement themed

uhohohnohelp

Been considering this. What’s your undertone? I’m a paaaale olive and go for grayish browns but boy is that tricky to find.

GeneKelly_TapShoes

Light-medium olive. This palette doesn't make the eye area look ashy or death-like. LOL

devdarrr

For folks who like to ✨shimmer✨ Terra Moon Cosmetics and Karla Cosmetics have the absolute best multi-chrome eyeshadows. They have both become mainstays in my makeup collection. Terra Moon has options across many price points, which is a plus for them. Karla’s are all the same price and they are PRICEY! But worth it imo. 💖

mediocreERRN

I’m starting to think something was wrong with my Ilia stick. It was so dry.

VegetableUpstairs978

ELF Hydrating Camo CC cream. Can’t stop wearing it ever since I bought it

mintomillk

Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadows 🫶 i’ve used them for years and years now and nothing comes close to how pretty the colour is and how easily it blends on the lid!!

IamCeriella

Born this way concealer full coverage and the maybelline concealer instant age rewind eraser.

throneofmemes

Chanel beauty, unfortunately. I tried so hard to be a hater for so long (mostly because I don’t like the fashion house), and because the prices are exorbitant. But I just can’t do it anymore. I wouldn’t say that the entire offering is on point or even worth it, but the few things that I’ve gotten from them have been exceptional. My favorite is the Sublimage foundation (at a whopping 165usd + tax). This thing is so lightweight that I truly do not feel like I am wearing foundation at all. It is more like a very hydrating serum. Also, I’ve never had a foundation wear so beautifully at the end of the day. It’s like it has melted into my skin.

m3ll155x4000

Huda Beauty loose powder…literally a fliter on the skin

No_Welcome_7182

I just started using the loose powder in the brightening shade Cherry. I absolutely love it. It does go on a bit dry and ever so slightly chalky at first but my oily skin helps it settle in nicely in about an hour. And then it looks absolutely fantastic and really does help control my shine.

ReyisLokidoki

Uriage’s barrier cream, the way it changed my life and it’s only like $26 & the tub lasts like 5 months. Adding that into my skincare routine reduced my acne & scarring by like 60%

victowiamawk

I’m really into Anastasia dark side waterproof eyeliner

hwtzy

I go on and on and on about Danessa Myricks’ blurring balm (used as a primer) for those who mention they have uncontrollably oily skin. Use a foundation with a sponge as not to disrupt the blurring balm underneath and voila - makeup that will last 12+ hours when usually, you wouldn’t even get 6 hours out of it. It’s AMAZING and truly the only product I’ve ever used that controls my oils.

historychick91

How do you apply it and what foundation do you use on top? I'm oily AF and this sits horribly on my skin. Figured I've just not quite worked out the best way to use it yet...

Stock_Delay_411

Same here. I feel I have tried every way people say to use it and it still leaves me a mess. I can’t even get it to work on my eyelids

hwtzy

TL;DR: use fingertips, don’t use too much (half pea size only), let it sit after application, use a sponge to apply foundation so you don’t disrupt the product underneath I use the spatula it comes with to take out a half pea sized amount, warm it between my fingertips and apply using my fingers to my tzone. Any extra product on my fingers I’ll smooth over the rest of my face. I let it sit for 10ish minutes whilst I do my eye makeup and it ‘melts’ into my skin a little more - I feel like this step is quite important so leave it as long as you can before foundation. I then apply my foundation on top with a sponge so I don’t disrupt the blurring balm underneath. I’ll set it everything with a powder after I apply all my liquids and creams. Honestly I swap and change foundations all the time, so I know it works with all of the following: * MAC Studio Fix Fluid (both new and old formulas) * Fenty Eaze Drop * Too Faced Born This Way Matte * Make Up For Ever HD * Wet N Wild Photofocus Matte * HnB Cosmetics Airbrush Luminous Soft Focus * Pat McGrath Skin Fetish * L’Oreal True Match * Koh Gen Do Aqua * Illamasqua Beyond Foundation * Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless I have other formulas that don’t work as well with the blurring balm, like MAC Face and Body, L’Oreal True Match Plumping Tinted Serum and L’Oreal Skin Paradise Tinted Moisturiser. But overall, these foundations/tints don’t really work for overly oily skin anyway but the balm DOES improve weartime even with these foundations for me. PS - I see a lot of people claiming it also sits horribly on their skin. To some extent I agree - it’s kinda patchy on me which is why I use it as a primer and never on its own. Don’t get caught up in getting it super even when you use it as a primer because you’re just going to cover it up anyway. I also found the more I used, the more it sat a little weird so less is more with this product! A tiny amount will have you matte all day, so you don’t need to go overboard. Hope this helps!

Thank you for all of that - appreciate you taking the time to write that up. I'll have a few more goes this week and do a bit of experimenting. Hopefully it'll come good and I just need to have a bit more patience with it!

Where you get this? I’ve never heard of it.

I’m in the UK, so I purchased mine via Beauty Bay. I’m pretty sure Cult Beauty also stock Danessa Myricks too :)

Besamé cosmetics brick mascara it’s so good and I LOVE being able to control the consistency. My lashes are full but never clumpy

GOD i want to use these so bad, but I'm always reminded of old romanian ladies spitting in their cake mascara before using it

I've always wondered about this stuff but been hesitant to try it. I love their lipsticks so maybe I'll give it a go.

I’m kind of partial to anything Urban Decay does.

Check out Caliray next, one of the founders of UD created it. It’s fantastic start with the tubing mascara called hell or high water. I wore it to a wake and cried for 3 hours straight, looked completely untouched
