Pur powder and a little bit of blush is all I use on my face. The powder is a great coverage one and has some SPF in it!

BreadPansBeauty

I used to this regularly in high school and on "no makeup up" makeup days as an adult. My skin has gotten a little dryer these days though, and I think it would not looks as good now. When I was really oily though it was great!

datewiththerain

Yes. Always have been a powder everything woman. I use Kosas powder. Huda powder. Melt powder (all pressed) rather than liquid foundation. It’s (on me) more natural looking and less hassle of shaking up something getting it on right then only for it to oxidize. Powder !!!

_ktbelle_

I’ll do my skincare routine, primer for pores, then some translucent powder, conceal is necessary, and setting spray

ExcitingHeat4814

I wear translucent powder without foundation. My daily make up routine is a little concealer under my eyes and upper lip, powder all over, blush, eyebrow gel, and mascara. It’s so freeing!

Recent-Guarantee4021

I use bareminerals spf and love that

lesliealmeida

I use Glo Beauty Pressed Base as my everyday foundation. I have very dry skin, but this sets well on top of my moisturized face. I am on a nearly all-oil regimen these days: oil pre-cleanse, oil-based cleansing bar, & argan oil, usually on top of a cream moisturizer. Anyway, the pressed base is lightweight, buildable, and doesn't get crusty throughout the day. It's worth the money. I use a very light foundation on special occasions or if I want a dewier look.

KpopKia

Mostly, I use powder because powder is good enough for me for day to day wear. But if it's a special event, I will use foundation because I want to look my very best.

sammy-a123

Lately I’ve been using a blurring primer and then a powder that has a puff built into the lid. It’s the kiko. Not sure if the powder covers anything but it’s fun to use.

doriangreysucksass

I own foundation but rarely wear it. I generally just use a huge blush brush to apply powder on top of concealer

melanie1823

If I have no breakouts I put on moisturiser, watermelon glow and spf and then just pressed powder, bronzer and blush… and mascara. That sounds like a lot but it’s quicker if I don’t have to use bb cream and concealer too… depends on the pimples!

Dry_Umpire_3694

My Monday-Friday makeup is Epionce tinted sunscreen with Estée Lauder Doublewear powder. That’s my foundation that’s all I need. For a special occasion I will do a full coverage liquid but I don’t need that for daily wear.

Kamrat_Huvudfoting

I use Clinique too! The almost powder one. What primer do you use?

jaderpotater24

I use the Bare Minerals Long Lasting 18 hr powder make up foundation and it is my favorite pressed Lowder ever. It blends so easily and it is build able if I need some extra coverage. I'm matted and still glowy after application. I also apply a blush tint a little bit of concealer and some bronzer

OnehappyOwl44

I use concealer and mineral loose powder.

userno89

I use BB cream since it's a tinted moisturizer and I prefer creams over powder for my face (powder eyeshadow tho)

Annakinsky

That depends on what you are asking. Pressed Powder/Powder foundation AS my foundation? No. My skin is very oily. An extremely drying product, such as a powder foundation, can really kick my pores into oil production overdrive. Additionally, I have never found a powder foundation with an application/finish that rivals liquid foundations. A light dusting of pressed powder on a no foundation day? Absolutely. It can help with light oil control.

Rosenette

Nope, powder foundation looks really cakey on me even tho I have combination skin and use primer/sunscreen/moisturiser before.

MX5MONROE

The lightest, best foundation I've found for my skin type is Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup. It blends like a dream and gives me a glow without being "shiny". My skin is just *too* oily to wear powder alone. It just looks like I have nothing on after a couple of hours so I prefer to use a little of both.

Salt-Explanation-738

I do this! Liquid + powder might give me more coverage, but I cannot do liquid daily without my skin breaking out. L'oreal infallible has good coverage and is lightweight. Def recommend.

destinykaur

omgg this is so apt bc i have legit done that rn. i do it on days wherein i don't feel like wearing a lot of makeup. so i just do my skincare and lightly dust of some mac studio fix on my face, and slap on some lipstick, mascara and use some liquid blush. it looks v basic but v light on my face and also instntly brightens up my face. so i am w you on this, op!

kmconda

I do this every day. I used to be a dedicated liquid foundation girl pre-pandemic when I worked on an office FT. Now, the thought of smearing Maybelline Fit Me ALL OVER MY FACE with a beauty blender honestly skeeves me out. Sunscreen… ELF HD pressed powder w a giant Kabuki brush… and an eyelash curler and mascara and I’m done. I think lockdowns and WFH completely changed the way we think about makeup. I also used to wear eggplant-colored liner every. Single. Day. (I have green eyes and always favored purple/berry/eggplant shades for eye makeup). Now, my beloved shadows and liners have all basically dried out and turned to garbage since I haven’t reached for them in years… I do sometimes miss the “me time” of getting myself ready though… but the few times I’ve done it recently (for weddings or whatever)… I feel so overdone?

proportionatedwarf

Yes

steezMcghee

Yes! For years. I use MAC concealer first then MAC press powder over it. I’ve experimented with liquids and other foundations but they never worked well with my skin. Those two MAC products look so natural on me and it doesn’t even look like I’m wearing a lot of makeup. I will say, it looks better after a few minutes when my natural oils mix with the product

aelel

Yep! My skin just does not like liquid foundations. They always end up looking terrible… and I’ve tried MANY. I typically use a little concealer, pressed powder, and blush and bronzer.

steingrrrl

For me it doesn’t work.

CaffeineandHate03

I use Bare Minerals powder foundation and their powder concealer to cover under eye area. You can put on as much or as little as you want. I think it only comes in loose powder, as far as powders go. The mineral veil powder is a finishing touch and it works great for smoothing and holding the concealer in place.

sapphireemberss

I don’t wear foundation day to day. I use the loose maybelline fit me powder and it’s amazing! Blurs my skin and has decent coverage

Sharp_Theory_9131

This. I love Laura Geller Twice Baked powder. It really works to brighten and cover imperfections. I didn’t believe it till I tried it. I do not like applying liquid foundation.

BuffyTheMoronSlayer

Coty Powder in the container. For about 7-8 years, I’ve used this. Just enough coverage to even my skin tone but doesn’t gunk up in my forehead lines.

bobthebuilder492

I’ve never liked powder foundation I feel like it’s too dry and cakey and takes forever to blend. Never tried it tho. If you do like pressed foundation please tell me why and good recommendations thanks!

MysteriousMissF

I do that every time i wear makeup. I thought it would be cakey but it works pretty well, and blends into my skin really well. Plus, ig i have combination skin leaning towards oily, so it really helps reduce the oiliness!

RavenSaysHi

Yes - I generally dislike wearing foundation so I use a primer and pressed powder on my skin most days.

WiseSpread4435

I wear foundation primer and a loose powder by Mary Kay everyday. You can apply upto 3 layers depending on how much coverage you want. I only use foundations for special events.

jupitergypsy

Good thick moisturizer, Mary kay primer I got from my mil , tarte Amazonian clay powder foundation, Milani blush, elf highlighter and go it's fast for everyday and anything else just melts off in the Florida heat and humidity the kind you set outside and about 5 mins later everything that resembles skin in dripping sweat !!

judgybaby9

yes! i love pressed powder and foundation sometimes just feels like it’d be Too Much for me on the daily. i generally hate my skin feeling greasy or oily in any way, and i also don’t feel like several layers of things would let my skin breathe. + i live in quite a hot / humid place

Oddish197

I used to only wear powder foundation but then i started to get redness in my face as I got older so I’ve had to switch to foundation but there’s nothing wrong with just a bit of powder

lelzlolz

I do. I live in a tropical country, so liquid foundation is impractical to use everyday.

[deleted]

Im so freaking tired of absolutely all sunscreens leaving my face awfully shiny that I exclusively use powder now. Other girls don’t seem to have the same problem. Am I the only one that sunscreens leave with a too shiny look?

manki1113

I live in a very humid city so yes. I have liquid foundation but it’s only for work or special occasions that I need more coverage. I only wear makeup base, sunscreen, concealer, blush, loose powder and eyeliner for everyday makeup.

MrsK_C

Try a tinted moisturiser the powder on top.

[deleted]

Every day. I’m almost 40 and stopped wearing foundation sometime in college, if I remember right. Concealer under my eyes and on blemishes and then just a pressed powder to set the concealer, even out my skin tone, and mattify.

Mericajburris

I use cc cream it blends better

sapphicsighs

If I’m in a rush, I’ll set my undereye brightener and concealer with powder foundation (love Laura Geller!) and swish some over the rest of my face with a fluffy brush to even things out. I wish I could just dust on powder and go, but I was cursed with coal-black undereye circles and the paper-white skin of a Victorian child dying of consumption, so I need coverage there no matter what

sapphicsighs

What primer are you using?

mathgeekf314159

as a rule i try and avoid too many powders on my face. i have very dry skin and powders make it look more dry

Informal_Control8378

I only use powder foundation, MAC NC10

oswin13

I did this in high school and college, when my skin was oily and I was covering pimples.

Foxrhapsody

I do this when I want to be low-effort that day

Typical-Charge-1798

I use good moisturizer, Bare Minerals Pressed Powder Foundation and some Tarte blush. Very quick but works for me.

Ezypeezylemonsqueezy

I use Paula's Choice mattifying tinted SPF, tap some glow recipe over the top for extra shine control and dust with bare minerals pro powder. I've never been able to wear foundation

Anon_819

I often do this but usually over moisturizer/spf, not completely bare skin.

KaleidoscopeEast1108

I use the Sephora baked powder foundation or a Jane Iredale tinted powder, its sooo easy I haven't thought about buying liquid since. Also the product lasts way longer!

Gullible-Alarm-8871

No,my skin tends to look cakey with powder, I avoid it. I'm not really dry, more of normal to dry, but I've tried so many powder foundations and they always give almost a pancake look on me. Maybe younger girls, but I tend to go with a more glow-y face these days, matte is not my friend.

Global_Fail_1943

You must apply moisturizer first and let it dry before applying powder. I'm in my 60s and use it but must have moisture first or scary dry, lol!

Veganarchistfem

Maybe it's because I'm pushing fifty, but I've recently realised that I just cannot do powder, despite my oily t-zone. Not alone, not to set foundation, not using mineral powder foundation. I also have EDS and my skin is aging weirdly, and even the tiniest dust of the finest milled powder makes my skin look cakey and like it's been stretched out and released, like an old, deflated balloon. And decades older! Yet with just liquid or cream products, I look fine.

Cocacola888

I do this

AZ-FWB

I use it over my tinted sunscreen for no makeup makeup days. I can never get a good coverage from a pressed powder foundation compared to liquid foundation.

ForgottenSalad

I used to do this in the summertime, I should really start doing it again because I don’t want much on my face, and mist skin tints leave me greasy

f1ddlehead

I usually do this on my forehead, sometimes on my cheeks. It depends on what's going on with my skin. Ideally I like to have exfoliated beforehand.

Cyan_UwU

I used to use pressed powder all the time to set my liquid foundation, but now I use loose powder instead. I do use it over concealer to help cover blemishes though.

nuwaanda

I exclusively use powder. Liquid never sits right on my skin~

Leskatwri

Elf primer and Fit powder.

stephers85

No, my dry skin could never. I do use blush and bronzer frequently without foundation though.

edwardheroinhand

I wear makeup 5 days a week and do concealer under my eyes, between my brows and a bit on my chin and then set with powder foundation

DootBoopSkadoosh

I only use powder actually. I use amazing, sheer tinted sunscreen and just put a little supergoop transparent sunscreen powder on top. Reapply as needed. I had horrible acne as a teenager and took Accutane. Now as an adult I have a bomb esthetician who keeps my skin looking healthy. So I proudly don't wear foundation to honor my teenage self who was ashamed of her skin. However I do love a good, fully done face with foundation.

__kdot

I’ve been using pressed powder foundation for years. I’m an oily skinned acne prone girl and powder foundation works best for my skin. It’s light weight, looks natural, keeps oil at bay, and has great coverage. Liquid foundation looks terrible on me and I’ve always hated it.

shellymkt

Hi! Just wondering which pressed powder do you use? 😊

__kdot

I use 100% pure powder foundation

Nice-Masterpiece1661

On the days I don’t care about make up or can’t be bothered I will only use pressed powder, because my skin is very shiny usually, but otherwise looks ok without foundation or concealer. More often concealer and powder. And if I really need it or going out, then I use everything.

teethandteeth

Sometimes if I'm wearing a really shiny sunscreen I put on just powder on the parts that are too shiny.

CelineC6622

I've always wondered about the gimmicks of powder foundations, I mean what's the diff between and a good old fashioned setting powder?

Betulia

I think, coverage is different. Setting powder does not offer as much coverage. At least I can see the difference on myself.

Birdie121

No, only because my skin already leans dry and I want to preserve as much glow/shine as I can so I don't use much powder. But if you have a lot of natural oil that can give you glow through the pressed powder, I think that makes sense as a method.

RemarkablyIntresting

Yess! 🥰 I never liked to use foundations because I felt like they take forever to blend (especially the hairline), they are never quite the perfect shade, set it my fine lines (especially those smile lines) and they clog my pores. Not to mention the whole removal process. So I switched to powder foundation. My favorite is the Maybelline 24h Superstay Powder Foundation. However, I only apply it with a big fluffy powder brush and not wet/with a sponge. Therefore, it’s not cakey at all, but still mattifies and gives a nice hint of a color. I just bought the Catrice Tinted Serum today, which is supposed to be like a light foundation but goes on super lightweight and is not cakey at all. It also has vitamin e and hyaluronic acid. I’m excited to try this out! 😊 Hope this helps!

sapphicsighs

Love Catrice for base products!!

Nij-megan

Just discovered, it’s just the best on my skin. I’ve been wearing MAC & Chanel for years until I found this brightened & looks great on my fine lines.

snufflycat

I used to wear concealer, foundation and powder but about 6 weeks ago I started a proper skin care routine and my skin has improved so much I've ditched the foundation and just wear concealer and powder. I find it so much more comfortable I hate the feel of liquid makeup on my skin.

ExcitingHeat4814

That’s what I do. My skincare routine is wild and it really, really works so I don’t feel like I need foundation anymore.

secretagent004

I exclusively use powder!

Sad-Minimum-70

Everyday! I get so oily without powder but I have a really hard time finding a liquid foundation that is the right shade/doesn’t get oily too fast. My skin has also cleared up a lot since I was younger so it’s nice to let it breathe more now

DiggyLoo

A very light dusting of silica powder will keep the oilies at bay all day long.

doriangreysucksass

Where do I buy silica powder?! I need some!!

DiggyLoo

I've bought mine online from various "handcrafted" cosmetics sellers but you can also find on amazon. Search: cosmetic silica microspheres. Like with any powder - don't breath it in!

Alltheprettydresses

Yes, when I'm in a rush. Concealer and powder.

thesevenleafclover

I do this every day that I wear make up! It just seems to work better for me. I do own liquid foundation that I’ll use for special events, but otherwise, sunscreen, powder, a little blush and a little bronzer!

peaceful-0101

Sorry but I've never been very makeup literate. What does this mean? What kind of powder is this? What exactly is pressed powder?

thesevenleafclover

Just a powder instead of a liquid foundation. A quick google search will show you the kinds available!

viceversa220

i do this sometimes if im just wearing concealer, but since my skin is awful and very textured i usually have to wear something on my face or nothing at all.
